The Heron House is a colonial styled villa with all the charms one expects from classic Indochina, but with all the amenities modern travel have come to expect. In many ways our home is supposed to be a true home away from home with the same mentality one would expect if they were staying with a cool relative. With our focus being on delivering a luxury personalized service, the mentality is always 'Why Not?'

Propietario/a: Loic Diels
The hosts of Heron House are in many ways a reflection of the uniqueness of the house. Van Anh is a native Hanoian who had a fire lit under her over the course of her five years living in America, which she then put to work in her own event planning business when she returned to Vietnam. Loïc by contrast is a long story, having spent long periods living in America, Belgium, & Greece. Amazingly over the course of his studies, Loïc attended a wedding in the south of France where he just so happened to meet Van Anh while she was cooking just over a thousand spring rolls for the guests of her cousin’s wedding. Three months later, he left the Netherlands to join her in Vietnam. Long story short: a few years down the road they got engaged in Crete, quit their jobs in Hanoi, got married in Naxos (in true Cycladic style) and moved back to Europe to pursue a masters in hospitality. They both agreed it was most likely the strangest honeymoon they could ever have imagined.

Heron House is not only blessed by its lovely views, magical pool, and top end amenities, but also by its lovely staff and owner that spoil every guest rotten. Between chef Loic's cooking and their famous guests only bar it is easy to just spend the days lazing around and enjoying the finer things in life. For those adventurers and explorers however, guests can also take advantage of the owner's many many years of experience in Vietnam and receive complimentary tips and tricks for exploring the best spots surrounding Hoi An and our favourite places around Indochina. In short, Heron House tends to be the highlight of any independent travelers' time in Indochina and after being written up by varying magazines and hosted varying artists from around the region, we can safely say that our villa is now the top ranked luxury b&b in central Vietnam for a reason, so why not get in touch with us and find out why?!?

Our villa includes the usual amenities of a massive breakfast daily, use of bicycles, full concierge services, staff assistance with just about whatever you may need, and a range of other options for your group from organizing a BBQ, setting up a nice outdoor cinema experience by the pool, planning a cooking class, or just floating in the pool with one of our popular home made infusion cocktails from our guests only exclusive in house serviced bar. We generally just always say 'why not?' so if there is something special to make your stay more memorable, just say the word and we will be happy to plan a unique experience.
