Retirement in Whiting ~ Dog Friendly, Short Walk to Beach

RETIREMENT IN WHITING is a comfortable 3 bedroom holiday home that accommodates up to 8 guests - 3rd bedroom is a screened area in the living room - please refer to photos.  Short walk to beach!

Open plan kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, benchtop stove top and oven, dining, lounge area with split system reverse cycle air-conditioner, TV, screened area with queen size bed.

Bathroom with vanity and shower, separate w/c, laundry with top loading washing machine and extra fridge.

Undercover rear outdoor area with outdoor setting and hooded BBQ.  Outdoor stove and crab pot available for crab cooking, fish cleaning facility.

Bed configuration - bed 1 -queen, bed 2 - tri-bunk plus single, bed 3 - queen -screened area in the living room.

Pillows and quilts are provided, you will need to bring your own linen - pillow cases, top/bottom sheets, towels/bath mat and tea towels.

Plenty of room for parking and boat

Garage not for use

Dogs allowed - yard fully fenced - front fencing is lower - around 900mm high

Nightly tariffs - cleaning, booking and refundable bond fees apply

Peak - 24th Dec to end of Jan school holidays and Easter: 4 night minimum stay
$160 per night
High - all other school holidays plus long weekends: 3 night minimum stay
$135 per night
Off Peak - school terms: 2 night minimum stay
$120 per night


Bond may be increased during peak season

Port Julia and beyond

This place is a gem ! Beautiful location and family friendly, kids were very happy to bring their bikes and we explored the walking trails and of course the Jetty and beach for hours kayaking. The location was great for many day trips around the coast !

Home away from home

Very impressed. House was lovely and clean. Would be happy to stay again. Only issue was not sure where to turn the power off in the meter box. Maybe a diagram for idiots like us?

A great weekend

The place was wonderful. The only problem we had was the cupboard where dishes are was broken. And the list for leaving had no diagram to show where power and pump were to be turned off so it didn't happen.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we stayed here for three nights over a long weekend. The location was nice and quiet but unfortunately there is no mobile or internet reception here (Optus) which made it a little difficult. The house was clean but a little dated. Could do with a freshen up. There was no water when we arrived and no instructions on how/where to turn on the pump and taps on the water tanks but we eventually worked it out. There was also a leak from the drainage system in the front yard which caused a large muddy pool every time we showered.

October mini break

We had a lovely time in Port Julia and Yorke peninsula. The accommodation was roomy and comfortable and the dogs had a great time too. The house had everything needed to be able to self cater, booking was easy and communication excellent. We would book again

Great little place for our group to stay while doing Walk the Yorke. Has everything we needed and enough space. Easy to find. Quiet location. Would recommend it.

Dog Friendly Port Julia

Neat place to stay. Great enclosed yard for smaller dogs. Close to the beach and jetty (No fish squid or crabs) Will look to go again when the crabs are on.
