Perfect place on the White River! Easy, close access if you're into trout fishing, in fact, i put on waders and walked in without having to leave the property several times. Other close-by accesses, also. The host is great. Easy to reach if needed. Cottage was supplied with everything one could need. Great trip, great accommodations!

We had a great stay- we made the easy drive to Blanchard Springs to enjoy the cavern tour. Everything was as described and clean. Very quiet area too!

Mini Vacay

We planned a last minute mini vacay with the kids and booked The Cottage! It suited us (husband and 3 teens) perfectly and we instantly felt at home. The house is well furnished with everything you might need while in a cottage/ cabin plus very well kept. There is PLENTY of roaming space outdoors and the cottage is situated perfectly on the white river where you can fish from the bank, enjoy smores at the bon fire area or cook a couple steaks on the grill all in a peaceful setting. The drive is a little curvy so be aware of that, but the views are unforgetable. Lastly, the hosts are amazing! Quick to respond to my questions, informative about the area, and they just made everything so easy.... from check-in to check-out. This property and the hosts are definitely 10/10 and I would love to come back to The Cottage again because of the great experience we have had.

Great Get-A-Way

We had so much fun on the river and enjoying our stay at the cabin. The views were amazing, being able to wake up make some coffee and set on the deck and enjoy the foggy sunrises were awesome. We also enjoyed the outside grill and top deck to get some better views. The owner is great and will help you with anything you need, very friendly.

Wonderful home, enjoyed our visit

The home was exactly as expected. Very private and quiet location, with a good bit of wildlife. We saw a bald eagle flying over the river, lots of bunnies and deer too. The upper bedroom is so spacious and beautifully decorated. Bring your fishing gear, we wished that we would have as you could fish right off the bank in the back yard. Also, do listen to the host by shopping before coming to the home while you are driving through town. The roads in are pretty hilly and curvy with the last road to the home being gravel. The home was very well equipped in the kitchen and bathrooms, everything needed was there. Would definitely stay at this home again.

Perfect getaway

We enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We had a great time on our fishing trip booked through Angler's. Enjoyed having access to a grill and all the amenities. The expansive decks were a great place to sit and see the nature around us. We will definitely look at this location again in the future for another great getaway. Jeff was very responsive to any questions we had.

Great place to getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Ruby's Landing Cottage. We had great views of the White River. We were treated to seeing a bald eagle flying along the river during the day and listening to whip-poor-will at night. It was about a 30 minute drive to Mountain View and a couple of swimming holes to beat the summer heat. The cottage provided what we needed for a restful, relaxing weekend.

Great Getaway Place

We enjoyed the opportunity to get away from the busyness of life! The cottage itself was great for our group of 5. Our oldest son even proposed to his girlfriend on the rock steps out back ❤️ It was a beautiful backdrop. Thank you for the memories!!

Gorgeous

We arrived to such a fabulous home! The property so well maintained! It rained and was perfect with the porches. The children had a blast playing inside and out! The kitchen had most everything we needed. Left our dish by accident. We put our kayaks in and floated to the next boat ramp, where my husband picked us up. Lovely trip. My 4 year old did not want it to end. Very very happy with our trip!

Relaxing Retreat

The location of this cottage can't be beat! The backyard borders the river and provides a scenic, restful and relaxing getaway. All kinds of wildlife visited us, including goslings, their mama goose and a woodpecker, giving us plenty of natural entertainment to watch from the spacious deck. I messaged with the owner several times and he provided excellent recommendations for walks, how to find information on the region's history, and events happening nearby. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and cozy with all the amenities we could have hoped for. My husband and son enjoyed a pheasant throw and pig hunt at The Sanctuary, which was about 45 minutes away. Despite the drive, we all agreed we will stay here again when they visit The Sanctuary for their next hunt because Ruby's Landing Cottage was well worth it!

The view from the decks is amazing! The access down to the water is perfect for fishing from the bank. Location was away from the hustle and busywork life’s we have. Having WiFi was a great additive to being able to keep up when needed. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. We enjoyed the fire pit near the deck one night and then enjoyed the back yard fire pit by the river the final night. Much needed relaxation this past weekend! Thank you for sharing your wonderful property with us!

Never before have I stayed at a property that exceeded my expectations based on the pictures and descriptions on VRBO! The home at Ruby's Landing is beyond wonderful! The setting is fantastic - quiet, beautiful and serene. It is remote, but that adds to the allure for me. The home is lovely, comfortable and has everything you could need except your party and food! Simply a fantastic location

Beautiful property

This property has stunning views of the White River and Ozarks. It's very secluded and private. It's also very isolating. Very easy to get to, though. GPS takes you right there. 30 minutes to any nearby town. We've never experienced that before, so it was an adjustment. However, we loved it. Our favorite town was Calico Rock. Oh - you're surrounded by dry counties, so heads up. Nearest brewery is 48 minutes away, but worth the drive. It's not far from Blanchard Springs Caverns, which we recommend as well. Mountain View is 30 minutes away. That's the best place to get groceries. Quaint area with some good antique shopping and restaurants. I enjoyed Sasquatch Cave, the coffee shop on main street and PJs Rainbow Cafe. Printing Press Cafe is Calico was amazing, and there are some cute shops there. Be sure to visit the museum. There is an overlook that you can't pass up there as well. We'd stay here again. There is a new mercantile opening up on March 30th just down the road. I think that will be so helpful to pick up dinner or some essentials. Owners are very friendly and nice. They offered to show us around even though they hadn't opened yet.

Our stay was amazing. The river right off the deck, the beautiful scenery, the beautiful “Cottage” was peaceful and quiet. A great place to get away and enjoy yourself. The host was very interactive with us. I highly recommend this place for a quiet weekend or a longer stay!!

Wonderful!

This house was in the perfect place. It was quiet and Relaxing. The view was amazing, lots of deck area and a swing that overlooked the White River. The kids fished but didn't have any luck catching anything. We went to Blanchard Springs Caverns which was beautiful and we went into Mountain View and ate lunch at Wing Shack and Cheeseburgers it was delicious!! We will definitely be planning another trip to THE COTTAGE and hopefully stay longer next time!

Wonderful property

If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. We stayed for 5 days and everything went great. The cottage is kept up very well and being able to be steps from the White River is well worth the trek. Everything we needed was there. The deck was great for star gazing and there is a fire pit with plenty of wood down below. We don't fish, but did do a 7 mile float trip with Angler's and it was neat to float past the property and get the view from the river. Thing's I'd suggest: Float Trip with Angler's, Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View (eat at Spah Grille), Blanchard Springs Caverns (hike the trails there), Devil's Knob Loop Hike (near cottage).
