We had an excellent stay! The vacation home is beautifully situated in a quiet community, with breathtaking views of the waterfront! We loved the breeze off the water and the daily viewing of bald eagles in the area! The evenings were peaceful and the location perfect for stargazing at night. The home was equipped with everything we could have possibly needed and the host quickly responded to our enquiries. We highly recommend this vacation home and would love to visit again!

Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The view is spectacular and the house was equipped with everything we needed to relax after a day touring the local sites. Loved the walk out deck and seating area around the fire pit!

Our stay was 5 nights. The property is in a quiet, new development on a hill overlooking Long River. We enjoyed the open fire pit. The property had everything we needed.

Lovely getaway for a family exploring the island

Picture perfect setting to have a home base for a week of exploring the island. Everything you need is there! A peaceful picturesque setting. Central to all the attraction. Beach is not for swimming but nice for shells. Bring beach shoes and watch for the slippery seaweed while walking at low tide.

Peace and quiet with gorgeous views

We had a wonderful week here, despite a few cool and windy days. The house provided everything we needed and more. We were especially fond of the front flagstone patio arranged around a stylish firepit. The location suited us well, since we were seeking tranquility. The great views over the river and spectacular sunsets were a bonus. Communication with the owner was excellent and the check-in was easy and convenient. We would gladly return another time.

Fabulous!

This property is absolutely amazing! We were so pleased with the location, the beautiful view and the cleanliness of the house. Towels, sheets and kitchen towels were spotless. Marakesh was available to answer any questions we had. The neighbourhood restaurants were great and everyone we met was super friendly. Check-in and check-out was simple. We will definitely be back to this property and would recommend it highly to anyone going to PEI.

Respite

This is a lovely home with everything you need for an enjoyable stay! The host is amazing and always makes herself available not that we needed to access her often. The pictures of the property especially outside doesn’t do it justice. The views are spectacular and the summer breezes are incredible! The location was great for us because of the quietness and serenity of the neighborhoods. We’re spent many hours outside and enjoyed every minute. Fortunately the weather was perfect! We will definitely stay here again. PS: added bonus is wonderful neighbors-not too close but very nice and friendly.

Superb Location

This was our second stay at Long Reverie. We enjoyed everything about this place immensely again, as we did on our previous visit. You can take in the wonderful views of the water and country side from the patio, main deck or the private balcony off the master bedroom. No better place anywhere to unwind, relax and simply enjoy life. The built in outdoor barbeque and chef-class space on the main deck are stunning. The owners are very responsive to any issues you may have. We had a tropical storm during our visit, and Marakesh kept in close touch with us - something that speaks volumes about our overall positive experience of staying here. Debbie & Don

Beautiful house in a great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Long Reverie! Marakesh was a wonderful host, checking in with us on arrival day and quick to answer any questions. The house is lovely and is exactly as described/pictured in the listing. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are so comfortable! The weather while we were there was rainy/cloudy so we didn’t get to use the patio, deck or fire pit, but the views were wonderful. The location, while remote, was central to the island sites and we were able to see quite a bit during our 3 days on the island. We had considered staying around the Charlottetown area but were glad we ended up staying outside a city area. Be sure to pick up groceries in Summerside or Charlottetown as there are only small stores near the property. Overall, I highly recommend this property and we would definitely stay again if we return to PEI! Thanks to Marakesh for sharing your beautiful home with us and for all of your help!

Living a Dream

It is difficult to find enough positive adjectives to describe Long Reverie, and to pass on our wonderful experience during our stay in this beautiful summer home. Our host, Marakesh, is friendly and responsive. She was a pleasure to deal with in every way. Her own love of the property shows in the warm ambience that we felt as soon as we drove up the lane and walked in the door. Like the island itself, you will "feel a little lighter" in Long Reverie. The only difficultly we had was leaving. If only we could have packed up the feeling of this place (and the view of the river) and taken it home with us. Of course we are already booked in for a return stay! If you want an unforgetable experience for you and your family, do not pass on Long Reverie.

A magical summer on PEI

We stayed in Long River for 3 months and were able to enjoy so much of what the island has to offer. Marakesh was great whenever small issues would pop up she would respond instantly. The house is recently built and super comfortable with lots of light streaming in from the south facing windows. The great cross breezes from windows on all sides meant we didn’t need the air conditioning much, but it was great to have for those few warmer days or for cooling it off for sleeping. Similarly there were a few cool days when we arrived in June so we were able to use the heat to keep it comfortable. We were working from the house the whole summer so really appreciated the super high speed internet. We also enjoyed using the paddleboards and kayaks provided with the property. It was just a 2 minute walk to the community dock where we could easily get a paddle in after work with the long light in the evenings. It was such a quiet neighborhood and we also got to meet and hang out with some of the neighbors since we were there for 3 months. All in all an idylli summer.

Beautiful home, central location, stunning views.

Our family of 4 was looking for a magical PEI vacation full of all things Anne, lighthouses, beaches and endless seafood. This VRBO house was a central location for all we did and provided a warm, relaxing spot to just watch the beauty of PEI. From the decks the whole family enjoyed watching the river and the trees and hear birds sing. Sunsets were magical, especially when followed by s'mores roasted in the firepit. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and down to the riverside on rainy days. It's a quiet, private. The house is very inviting, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, kitchen thoughtfully stocked with any dish/pot/utensil I could imagine needing (including oyster shucker and lobster crackers). Clean, nice bathrooms. Very clean house in general. The location was just perfect for our needs. Close to Cavendish, so we could get Green Gables and many other Anne attractions. Cavendish beach was beautiful. But we were also able to easily get to Rustico, Summerside, Charlottetown. We drove to a dozen lighthouses (Cape Tryon was favorite). Easy to get to food. Sou'west is minutes from the VRBO house, serves oysters from right outside their patio and had delicious cocktails to enjoy with. Suggest buy groceries in Summerside or Charlottetown. Best VRBO host I've ever had. Months before, host was responsive and providing recommendations for travel arrangements. Provided grocery store recommendations and favorite local eateries (including Sou'west). Checked in us.

Exceptional!

My husband and I could not have been happier staying at Long River. This property was a dream! The location is outstanding; the prettiest views, a quiet neighborhood and centrally located to many island destinations. The home was clean with beautiful decor and offered every amenity one might need. The beds were super comfortable and cozy! Hurricane Fiona paid us a visit at the end of our stay. While this was an incredibly scary event, our host Marakesh was excellent at communicating the necessary preparations and frequently stayed in touch. She sent a family member out to the property before the storm moved in. He put away all the deck furniture and secured the trash bins. Marakesh assured us we could reach out if we needed anything at all. She was an accommodating and kind host. We will absolutely be back someday!

Very nice but expensive

We had a very nice stay. We found the house very nice, convenient, well located and comfortable but a bit expensive at almost 4 000 $ a week. We were expecting more for so much money.

An absolute delight, even under suboptimal circumstances.

This house was perfect for our family of five. It's located in a lovely, quiet, convenient area. The neighbors are friendly, but not intrusive, and far enough away for privacy. The view of the river is breathtaking. We found the house itself to be beautiful, new, and sparkling clean. Every convenience, from blankets for lounging on the couch to necessary pantry staples, was provided. The beds are so comfortable that we made note of the manufacturer. We had the misfortune of arriving on the heels of hurricane Dorian, and were without power or water almost the entire stay. The owners, though at the time dealing with extraordinary family responsibilities of their own, were super quick to communicate, very accommodating, and offered to help make our stay comfortable in every way they could. It was clear that they cared about us not just as "clients", but as people. We've traveled extensively as a family, and this property is hands down one of our favorites. There's not a single negative thing we can say about it, and we hope to return soon!

The house is open, clean, and comfortable. The setting is beautiful. David was extremely responsive when we had questions or need. Would definitely return if our travels bring us back to PEI!
