Wedding weekend hone-base

This property was in a great location for all of the events for a destination wedding weekend. Quiet, lovely, neighborhood. The perfect place to unwind after social celebrations.

Great dog friendly home

My family, dogs and I really enjoyed staying in this well equipped and supplied home. It had everything we needed and was very clean on our arrival, spacious, and comfortable. Owner was very responsive. Definitely great for dogs to sniff and roam the long driveway.

Loved the house!

We were pleasantly surprised at how well the house was equipped. We loved the layout of the house. Gorgeous view from the front porch. It is convenient to everything. The only thing that would have made it better would be if the disposal of the garbage was different. We loved the house though and would rent it again.

Great place to stay

The house was great. We loved the layout and that it was all on one level. It had everything we needed. The only thing that would make it better would be an easier way to dispose of trash. This wasn’t a deal breaker but we had to drive 30 minutes out of our way to dispose of it.

Fantastic experience!

Renting this home was a wonderful experience, start to finish! Unlike many VRBO rentals, the home was well stocked, with so many little things that you tend to forget. The owner was a joy to work with and very eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The house was very clean, in a perfect location, and SO dog friendly, which we absolutely loved! Despite a terrible winter storm which damaged my car (at no fault of the owner), we will be back!

Great Family + Dog Mountain Getaway

First visit to Sapphire/Cashiers/Highlights area was fantastic, and this was a wonderful house for our family of four plus small dog. It was SUPER clean, had more "extras" than any previous rental (spices, coffee filters, cleaners, toiletries, all that kind of stuff), plenty of cookware, comfortable set-up, dog bowls and treats (!), great amount of space... I could go on. We had one snafu that was beyond the control of the owner (had to do with main water pipe leak/shut off for area), and the OWNER was on top of it within minutes, communicative, and found out what was happening. We only give the property company 1 star because we never heard back from the property manager. We were just so grateful to have the number of the owner. She should probably take over managing the place herself! We appreciate your help!

We were very with the property in general. There were a couple of things that could be corrected. The icemaker didn’t work. There was a sign stating that however, it could easily be repaired. We had to buy ice because 2 trays wasn’t enough. Finding the house was hard at first due to Buckberry Drive having North and south locations, neither of which were on the map we were given. Thankfully someone stopped to help us. The check in location was hard to find and wasn’t required unless we wanted to use the amenities, which we didn’t. We were only provided with one towel each for our whole stay. We found some in the dryer but too late. Thanks.

Great property/needs work

The location and home are beautiful. When we arrived there were dirty towels in the washing machine and more in the dryer. Ice machine in refrigerator not working, no garbage pickup, stained furniture, sheets on beds were put on wrong , stained bedding, cushions outside kept in storage box were soaking in water and never dried out even after 30 days in the house

Springbreak getaway

My family stayed here during springbreak this year and it was an amazing experience. So relaxing and the Sapphire Resort was great to experience as well. You will not be disappointed.

The home was well equipped and located in an extremely quiet neighborhood. Our only complaint was the property management team was not responsive given we attempted to reach them to resolve the tv's not working for two days.

Relaxing Getaway Retreat

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. We definitely recommend renting this home if you are looking for a quiet place to stay while visiting Cashiers. We did experience a visit on the deck from a black bear and her cubs. Both scary and exciting at the same time. Thankfully we were inside but cool to see them up-close. We do recommend having the master bedroom upgraded with a king size bed.

Cozy home

If you are considering this property for a getaway- go! It is in a beautiful location up at top of a mountain in Cashiers. The home was spacious and cozy with the fireplace . Anything you could have needed was available. My children didn’t want to leave. The beds were super comfy and the decor was clean and current. I would defiantly come back here again.

Nonexistent communications

The property is beautiful, clean, well stocked and all of the other wonderful things mentioned in other reviews. The first night we arrived we took the kids tubing at Sapphire Valley Ski Resort and we were thrilled to have tickets since they ended up closing Sunday and Monday due to the winter storm. We got back to the house around 8pm after tubing and I could not find the key to the house. My kids were cold, tired and scared and I began to panic at the thought of not being able to get inside with the temperature in the low 20s along with the winter storm that was to begin that night. I remembered I received an email with a contact name and number so I tried to call her and didn't get an answer so I sent her a text. That was Saturday night at 8:15. It is now Monday at 8:21 and I have not received a returned call or a text? I also sent a message through VRBO and still have not received a reply. My misplacing the key is absolutely my fault, but to not have a response at all when a winter storm is coming the same night is very bothersome. My husband ended up going to a neighbors house that he had spoken with earlier in the day and they helped us get in. We woke up the next day to the most beautiful snow and made the decision to leave early since the roads were only going to get worse and if we didn't get out that morning we could be stuck for days and we didn't know if we would have a place to stay since we still had not received a returned call, text or message and we didn't know if the house would be available. The house and location alone are absolutely worthy of 5 stars, but the lack of communication, in what I believe was an urgent situation, prevented me from giving 5 stars.

Beautiful well appointed cabin.

We had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving in this beautiful cabin in the Sapphire Valley. It had everything we needed and was a great jump off spot to tour the area. The chatooga iron bridge was our favorite.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway

We only stayed a short time, however we found the house and the location perfect. The home was updated, clean and very well stocked with all of our needs taken care of. We brought our dog and found the home very compatible for pets, including dog bones and bowls. We would certainly recommend staying at this wonderful house in the trees.

No Early Check in, but Early Checked Out!

The property is clean, conveniently located in Sapphire, and dog friendly. However, there was NO communication beyond check in. There was no coffee pot and no response from owner after reaching out. We managed. Check out is listed at 10 am, but the maid showed up at 9:35. She was rude, saying it was only a few minutes and that the next renters requested early check in. What?! We had also requested early check in and were told no because there were already renters there. Unfortunately, this left us with a bad impression of our stay.

Excellent House

It’s a great place for adults and baby. The house is fully stocked. A pretty and quiet neighborhood with easy access to golf course, community center pool, Ingles, Cashiers, etc.

Really pleasant stay

My wife, dogs, and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house was a little hard to get to as it was high up on a mountain, but that also gave us some great views. The view from the deck is excellent and watching the sunsets at night was great. The house was well stocked with all basic items (oil, salt, pepper, pans, etc.) and was very pleasant to stay in. The gas fireplace was nice to be able to use as well.
