Evergreen Shores

This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful home. Perfect for our family of 10 to have enough space but still be together. The big table is perfect for dining and playing games. And the view is fabulous.

Fall family Retreat

This home is warm and welcoming located in a more private and quiet cove setting. It has beautiful views of the lake and had all the comforts of home and dog friendly. It was easy to find and accessible to the town and local restaurants and shops, though we preferred to enjoy our stay in the home's area. Mingo trails were nearby and easy to access. Saddleback Mountain provided a great hiking location that included 18 Gnome villages that were really a pleasant surprise for adults and children. There was nothing lacking by the owners and the layout provided lots of room and options for everyone. The beds were extremely comfortable along with the amenities provided. We were fortunate to be allowed to stay 2 hours beyond our check-out time which was very accommodating, and the realty staff was very friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend this lovely vacation home that is perfect for larger families!

Evergreen Shores

A few thoughts that we noticed throughout the week. Love the location on the lake, closeness to the water, and layout of the house. We've rented for 3 years and enjoyed the spaciousness. This year I noticed that it is looking tired in some areas. The stairs on the deck are wearing down, the mattress in the primary bedroom is very soft, and the sofa needs a good cleaning, notably under the cushions.

Gold Medal

We give Morton & Furbish and Evergreen Shores a gold medal. From the impeccable service to the fantastic home for a family of nine, it's a winner! Convenient but quiet location with access to the lake just across the lawn. Stunning views from every room. Super spacious and wonderfully clean. A wonderful place to spend Christmas week. The perfect weather really helped too!! Having a tree put up was a lovely touch when we arrived. And, with 10 of us there, it was great to have so much space. The kitchen was very well equipped and bring able to use the sleds we found in the garage was wonderful. Thank you

Outstanding Home on North Shore of Rangeley Lake!

We had a superb stay at Evergreen Shore in early October 2024. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated with very good lighting. It was chilly so the wood-burning stove with ample firewood was much appreciated. The kitchen is well-appointed, with everything we needed. There is a very good laundry room upstairs with top-quality appliances, and all of the bedrooms were well furnished. A couple of comments/tips: - The primary/master bedroom closet is the owner's so is locked. Just use the hall closet for hanging clothes. - Early October everyone is pulling their docks to prepare for winter, so don't expect to use the dock. The property management company, Morton & Furbish, is excellent! Contact them for any issues and they will respond quickly and effectively. Highly recommend this property and the company!

Our stay at Evergreen Shore

Great property and location. The home was very clean and well kept. We all had a great time relaxing, enjoying water sports, and hiking. The dock is very nice but is open to wind and waves and is not friendly to larger boats left on the dock. Overall, we love this place and Rangeley.

We will be renting again

This house was all we could want it to be and more. We have rented on Rangeley Lake for 4 years now. We tried this new location to find a house a little more comfortable for my 85 year old father with limited mobility. We couldn't have been happier. First the bedroom on the first floor was so nice. It made it easy for my Mom and Dad to move around the living areas. The large deck has a beautiful view of the lake. We all spent many hours there taking it in, eating meals, and even playing Uno there. The three different living spaces made it perfect for our 3 families living in one space. And the kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed to cook many meals. Oh and the kitchen table is nice and big for us all to be together. The bedrooms upstairs were spacious and comfortable. A nice touch was that each room had fans. We brought some, which we needed with the warm weather, but having a few extra from the home made it comfortable sleeping. Finally, we loved being on this side of the lake. It was quiet and nice being close to Rangeley and Oquossic. We are already planning our return next year. P.S. Morton and Furbish are great to work with. We had one issue when we first arrived and they fixed it immediately. Great having that level of response!

Beautiful Family Gathering Spot!

We've long been planning a family gathering in Rangeley and, after looking at pictures of Evergreen Shores, thought the lakeside property with lawns, decks and interior spaces would be perfect. We were not disappointed. The weather during our stay was not perfect but the property lent itself to creating perfect family gatherings with meals, conversations and games in the spacious common areas. We will certainly consider returning in the future.

Comfortable as beautuful!

Clean, comfy sofas, chairs and couches. Fully equipped kitchen and baths. Easy access to the waterfront. Beds so perfect! Rooms for everyone, no matter if it was for games, TV, or quiet space. Property management available in an instant for problems. We loved the house, deck, dock and firepit. The only issue was access to boat launch in severe weather.

Great house and outstanding property management

We had a family gathering here for the eclipse in April. I picked the property for its size and southern views across the lake. The house was perfect for us. The kids loved the yard, we went for hikes right nearby and had plenty of room for 10 overnight and another six for the eclipse and dinner. The property management group was absolutely awesome keeping us informed of the weather and events in the area. Highly recommended.

Excellent Stay

Rangeley is a lovely small town. There are many places to eat and a nice grocery store nearby. Close to hiking and just absolutely beautiful scenery everywhere you look. The house has plenty of space and accommodated our group of 6 plus a dog with extra room leftover. The property is beautiful. Enjoyed indoor and outdoor spaces. Would 100% book this again.

Great house with perfect location!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Evergreen Shore. It is pretty private but only 10 minutes to Rangeley for groceries or other shopping / dining. The access to the lake is an easy walk down a sloping lawn, and the Mingo Springs bird walk trail is available with only a short walk up the road. We enjoy making our meals on our trips, and the house was extremely well stocked with necessary cooking equipment. The house itself is very roomy, great for a party of six. Our favorite room was the sunroom; what a pleasant place to start the day looking out over the lake with a cup of coffee! All in all, a great stay and we look forward to coming back!

Change of Season Stay

We stayed at Evergreen Shore during the week of April 8, 2023. We couldn't visit during our normal summer time this year but still had to get to Rangeley because we love it so much. The lake was still iced over and the local streams were still very cold so the fishing was a wash. The weather was changing, as well, so the snow was melting and it was literally muddy everywhere. We ventured into town several times but spent a significant amount of our week relaxing with more or less homebound activities at the camp. I'm not sure I've seen a better property to do that in. It is very large, well laid out, and equipped exceptionally well. The views, even of the frozen lake, are wonderful and you can see the lake from any room upstairs or downstairs. It also has a terrific porch that wraps around. My only regret is that it wasn't summer time and the dock wasn't in on top of not frozen water. However, that is not the property's fault. Fantastic camp if you like to relax in luxury. Perhaps we'll book again in the summer to get the full experience. -DD

Winter Wonderland

We spent a week during winter school break in this wonderful place. The view from the living room is magical: the lake and the mountains covered in snow and the stunning panorama. We had a very comfortable accommodation and everything that was needed. House is well equipped and comfortable.

Nice House, beautiful views

House is a little dated, but worked out well for our group of fishermen. Plenty of space for everyone. Large well equipped kitchen and the gas grill was key. Brand new (looking) dock worked for three boats but needs more cleats and padding.

Great space!!!

This place was perfect except for 2 things that come with the territory: The wireless was non-existent, and cell reception was very sparse. Both forced me to look at my phone less which is nice, but would have been better to go in knowing how bad they were (so i could plan remote work better). ALso, definitely not for small cars in the winter, but also kinda common sense. Otherwise it was perfect for a few families with small kids. Spacious, gorgeous, very close to town and skiing. We cant wait to check it out in the summer

Evergreen Shores 9/22

I have only good things to say about Morton and Furbish rentals and this property. Arrival and departure effortless. The house and location on the magic waters of Rangley lake was perfect. I loved this house so beautifully decorated and fully supplied. My family loved hiking, fishing and exploring this beautiful wild area! We hope to return next year!

Excellent Getaway

We had a wonderful time in this very spacious and comfortable “cabin”. The layout was perfect for our three generations. The sun room is a great place to read, relax and look out to the lake. The tv room is perfect for the kids and was separate enough so we were not bothered by it. Furniture is very comfortable, kitchen layout is well thought out and user friendly. The only downside was the water issue, which meant we had a lot of plastic to recycle but other than that our stay was perfect.

Winter Break

We loved our stay at Evergreen Shore! Honestly, the house could use some love but with those windows and the light that pours in and the spaciousness of the house, its faults are easily forgiven. It was roomy yet cozy. The layout worked great for us. It was one of the best equipped VRBO homes I have ever rented. The location was terrific too. Not too far (an easy 15/20 minutes) from Saddleback and the Xcountry center and within 3-4 miles of many eating options. And you are right on the beautiful, vast frozen Rangeley lake. We don't snowmobile but it really looked fun out there! Morton and Furbish were easy to reach and always friendly and helpful as best they could be. I would add...A 4WD is highly recommended when getting to the house and the places you want to go while there. We got 20 inches of snow the first day we arrived. They did a great job plowing but I am really glad I had my Subaru! I was sad to leave and hope to go back!
