From the time of our arrival we fell in love with this property. The layout of the house suited our seven family members, ranging in age from 29 to 78. The spaciousness gave us all areas to have a break from one another if needed. The kitchen was decked out with everything we needed for self catering, from coffee machine to serving dishes to wine glasses and dishwasher just to name a few things.We were sad to leave it after 5 nights of relaxing together.Thankyou Jacqueline and Richard, we hope to be back one day.

Family holiday

We had a fabulous stay. The house was beautiful, plenty of space for all of us and extremely well equipped. The views from the balcony were stunning. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Cairns. The owners always responded promptly.

Lovely Spot

We came in the rainy season (Dec-Feb) and the huge porches were a real blessing to sit out on. The house is up a lot (4 stories up from road level) but it works just fine - be sure you can handle steps. Main living area is large and open and very pleasant. View of Cairns and the mountains is wonderful to wake up to.

Beautiful property & excellent host!

Our family loved our stay at Hillview. The house is beautiful and functional with a breathtaking view. It close drive to the city & attraction areas. Jacqueline and Richard are excellent hosts - informative and responsive. We will definitely stay there again when we come to Cairns next time.

Magnificent Views

We had a great time at this property in Cairns. The views were absolutely amazing. We had so much room for us to socialize, read, chat and play games. We loved being close to the Botanic Gardens which we visited several times. The property was very clean, warm and relaxing. The kitchen was well equiped.

Dream stay

We had the most amazing stay at this house. Every day we’d wake up and just be in complete awe of the view. We had so many plans of activities we wanted to do while in Cairns but we were all having such a relaxing time, we didn’t want to leave the house. I have never stayed somewhere that I didn’t want to leave. We all left the holiday refreshed, rested and relaxed. Absolutely beautiful house. Amazing hosts. Hopefully we will be back again

Quiet peaceful location with breathtaking views of Cairns & surrounding mountains

Lovely home with amazing views in a quiet peaceful location. The property as a whole has a very relaxed atmosphere and the hosts were very obliging with any queries we had during our stay. We wish we could have had more time to just sit, relax and enjoy the home and beautiful surrounds, but our schedule was very full, doing all the "touristy" things Cairns has to offer. We will definitely be back to take the time to just chill, unwind and appreciate all this lovely property has to offer.

Amazing views, fabulous house!

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at Hillview. The house was exactly as described, clean and stylish. It is in a great location, a few minutes into the centre of cairns, but also really handy for the main road north. The views from the veranda are amazing, whatever the weather. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Dit huis is absoluut het mooiste vakantiehuis van onze reis. Prachtige stijl, mooie ligging en uitzicht over Cairns. Contact met eigenaar verliep soepel. Wifi was ook goed (belangrijk voor de kinderen :-)

Stunning property

Our stay was sensational. The property, views, and location was perfect. The lovely little areas at the back and front of house were so special and we utilised every one of them. We met our super hosts who were absolutely gorgeous and so helpful. We cooked in most nights as the front veranda was so accommodating with the best views we didn’t want to be any where else. The nice touch of a bottle of wine and nibbles was very much appreciated - cannot wait to go back next year. Thank you Jacqueline & Richard. 👏

Short stay with Mum and Sisters

Fabulous Views & picture perfect location

The property and all the amenities were amazing & suitable for our adult family. There was enough space for us all to have privacy and time together. Views from balcony are stunning. Owners were wonderful. I really cant thank them enough for their kindness and generosity especially with a super late check out to correspond with flights home. Would definitely stay again :)

Fabulous House

This was a fabulous house to use as a base in Cairns. We were comfortable, enjoyed a great view towards the CBD and found it easy to get around even without a car for most of our stay. The house was beautifully styled and stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

We fell in love with this property because of its cool breezes and breathtaking views. It offers peace and quiet whilst being close to all amenities and holiday attractions. Our property fringes the National Park so we are very fortunate to see the local birdlife daily and we would love you to have this same experience. The area is an established leafy suburb that has the traditional charm of yesteryear Cairns, with both traditional Queenslander and contemporary style living. The green arrow accessed from the rear of the property is part of a network of walking tracks that are part of the National Park and are very popular with locals for hiking.
We have spent time restoring the property to offer you a comfortable stay and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Whitfield is close to the trendy Edge Hill Village with eateries, coffee shops, bakery, bottle shop, newsagency, butcher, and spa. A medical center is located close by with a 24 hour medical center and hospital in the city center just 10 minutes' drive.

The close proximity of Cairns City offers a relaxed dining experience at restaurants to suit every taste. Walk, cycle or skate at the Esplanade or take a swim and relax at the man-made lagoon. For the adventurous, there is a state-of-the-art outdoor skateboard park, climbing boulder, volleyball, and various free fitness activities which can be viewed from the council website.

Cairns is also the home of SCUBA Diving in Australia and there are a number of companies offering dive trips and dive courses from the pier. Waterfront dining and boardwalks at the pier provide a luxurious dining experience.

Enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of the local beaches, Palm Cove, and Trinity Beach, popular with tourists which are just a short drive from the property (approx 25 mins). If you prefer a more scenic drive Port Douglas is a 45mins drive and is nestled between two World Heritage sites - The Great Barrier Reef and The Daintree Rainforest.

Attractions:
Hillview on Hillview is positioned a short walk to the Botanical Gardens and walking tracks at Whitfield National Park. Other local attractions include the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Scenic Rail to Kuranda, Cairns Go-Kart Hire, Laser Tag, cable skiing at Cairns Wake Park if you dare a bungee Jump at AJ Hackett's Bungee or visit and feed the crocodiles at Hartley's Crocodile Farm.

If you want to explore further afield you could visit Paronella Park, go wild water rafting at Tully, Sky Dive tour the Tablelands, or simply take the beautiful scenic drive to Port Douglas.
