Summary:
Stay in the heart of the Gold Coast, minutes’ walk from Surfers Paradise Beach and all the shops, clubs, bars, restaurants and attractions around Cavill Avenue. You’re also metres from the beachfront markets. The accommodation is a cosy hotel room with two double beds, a work desk and a furnished balcony overlooking the ocean. It also has a relaxing shower bath, flat-screen TV and some general kitchen items. You also have access to a lounge/dining deck and open-air Jacuzzis.

The Space:
This is a cosy hotel room on the 18th floor. It’s a sunlit space with city and ocean views from the furnished balcony. The room includes two double beds, a work desk and a small sitting area. The bathroom has floor-to-ceiling tiles and a shower bath. There is no laundry.

The world-famous Surfers Paradise is a coastal metropolis renowned for its surf breaks, lively nightlife, family-friendly attractions and gourmet seafood dining. The Esplanade is lined with luxury resorts, ocean-facing restaurants and boutiques, while Cavill Avenue reveals arcades, shopping malls, themed attractions, bars and clubs. However, the beachfront is Surfers Paradise’s biggest draw with kilometres of sandy shoreline for volleyball, swimming, surfing, sunbathing and picnics.

The Cypress Avenue tram station is 190 metres away and has regular trams servicing the Gold Coast. There are also bus stops on the Gold Coast Highway with multiple lines servicing the surrounding suburbs.

Turned out better than thought
Overall the property was good, we had our initial doubts as the hotel lifts need upgrading, the damp smell in the hotel corridors made us think the hotel needs more maintenance, and the damp smell in the hotel room also made us think we had made a mistake BUT the room was clean, and the beds had bright white clean linen on. The view from the balcony was magnificent and Cali Beach below was entertaining to watch but importantly, the noise level (we were on Level 18) was not bad at all and when we closed the balcony doors, you could barely hear it. Overall we'd stay here again. The room does need a little TLC, the shower soap dish was broken, the clothes cupboard door was jammed so we couldn't open one side and the valance on the beds was torn and needed replacing, plus the carpets should be replaced. Overall though, it was a great say and would do it again.

Underwhelming property
Stay was okay. The room is tiny with 2 clean queen beds and a bathroom. The taps leaked continuously, the hot water stopped working so no one could shower and get ready for the event we were visiting for, the dus t build up and missing light globes were a another thing to add to the disappointmen, really. 4 people staying for 5 nights and all that was there were 2 coffee pots but no machine, tea bags, 4 sugar sachet, 100ml UHT milk, a kettle, no Toaster, no microwave and about 10 sachets of Dishwashing liquid to clean out dishes with. The outdoor setting was only for 2 and a 1 seater couch and a desk chair inside the unit, so we couldn't even all sit together to eat. The room has so much potential with a bit of TLC. Also warning guests of a nightclub right under the balcony that is open Friday-Sunday. Was so loud and not peaceful at all. No foxtel or streaming services and no access to gym, only spas which were not heated. The view was pretty though.
