Brixton Farm Stay is a quiet little get away where you get to enjoy the peace and quiet in a newly build home, our accommodation can easily house 6 people at one time with unlimited parking surrounding the property. 2 queens sized beds and a king single with a trundler. plenty of room for the whole family.
We are 15-20 minutes away from New Plymouth where you can wine and dine or take the family to visit the local attractions or even soak up all of the mountain you can handle.
Both adults and children love to see the animals running around in the surrounding paddocks while they have a cuppa on the deck or eat their breakfast in the mornings,. we often have a few piglets in the shed and chickens on arrival, its time to sit back and relax and soak up the atmosphere! Check in is 2.00pm checkout is 10am in order to give us time to clean for the next guests

Family farm stay

We had a fantastic time with 5 people. The house is super cozy and it is great fun watching the animals. Our son got to feed them every day, he collected eggs and we even got to feed the eels in the stream. The driveway is a bit tricky to find (especially in the dark)

Perfect Family Getaway in Waitara – A Farm Stay Adventure for the Whole Family!

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Brixton Farm Stay with our four teenagers. The house was spacious, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids loved feeding and petting the sheep, cows, hens, and pigs, and we even received fresh eggs from the chickens! The location was perfect—just a short drive to New Plymouth, where we explored local attractions, as well as Egmont National Park and the beautiful Three Sisters. The peaceful farm setting was the perfect retreat, and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend for families looking for both relaxation and adventure!

Quick Exploration of New Plymouth

We wanted to explore New Plymouth for the first time and when looking for accommodation we came across this lifestyle block property. Since we had not been in an farm style environment for a long time, we decided to stay here. It is a very nice unit, newer build and very clean. Was great to have the pigs, cows and sheep around, and great to be able to see the the couple hours old piglets and engage with the owner. We got some great honey "on the comb" and a kg tub of honey, nothing better than getting natures best straight from the hive.Very nice place to stay and is around 15 minutes to New plymouth from there.

I was really torn if we should stay in town or at the farm stay. In the end I chose the farm stay for something different and because I thought the kids would love it. It was the best decision and when we head back to Taranaki we wouldnt hesitant staying here again. A short drive to town and the house was emmaculate with everything you needed. It had a lovely farm outlook and the kids loved visiting the pigs, chickens, cows. Bruce the owner would feed the animals and the kids would run over to watch, he was a fantastic host. The kids gathered fresh eggs for breakfast and they didn't want to leave. Instead of being just somewhere to sleep this farm stay became a highlight of the trip.

They said it was a family farm stay - it was!

Perfect deck for sunsets, looking at sheep, fields, the airport in the distance. 3 bed property, functional kitchen and living, Highly recommend for a single family, having five adults in our group made the need for a bathroom schedule and timer a potential requirement for the single bathroom. Plenty of parking, room for any size of boat. Children will love collecting eggs from the coops, feeding the calves and the pigs. The fresh eggs were fantastic. A little confusion over the listing, there is no spa. Also no bbq facilities currently. No upfront info about checkout procedure, e.g. rubbish, recycling, towels linens etc. an info book or 1 page laminate would be awesome. Farmer Bruce and his family and staff were all friendly and lovely. 100% would stay here again, just with a slightly smaller group.

Beautiful house surrounded with farm animals as described in the description. Clean and neat property. Host is prompt in communication and response well. FYI, if you are thinking of booking it in cooler days, carry a portable heater with you as room doesn’t have heat pump, it’s in the living room.

A lovely farm get-away in Brixton

We really liked our stay! The house had everything we needed with beautiful decor and the heatpump kept us nice and warm. We enjoyed watching the animals and even found a freshly-laid egg under our car!
