Lovely apartment, close to the beach

We really enjoyed our stay in Julian's apartment, which was very quiet and comfortable, with great wifi and air conditioning. Norma, the housekeeper, was extremely gracious and helpful, and the location, just two minutes walk from the beach, was super convenient.

So comfortable

We love the sunlight and colors of Mexico and found plenty of both on the property and in the condo. We share the owners' taste in books and posters and enjoyed the spacious condo and two private patios. Beautiful pool a few steps away, further down, La Ropa beach and the bay. Plenty of restaurants, both beachy and more formal.

The space was beautiful, unique, very clean and in a perfect location.

The host Julian was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to messages. The apartment was beautifully decorated with art and the cleaners kept the place very clean every day. It is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport and a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Playa La Ropa. There is a large container of purified water provided and 25 pesos per refill. You can also reserve lawn chairs at the beach for 25 pesos a day as well. Tons of yummy food to eat near by and a 10 minute taxi to the center of town. A private pool for the apartments within the property is quiet and easy to access. There were 4 of us staying there and we had plenty of space and it was fun to also cook in the kitchen. We would love to come back as soon as possible. Thanks again Julian!;)

Almost Perfect

Almost everything about these condos was exactly as we expected from the website and from the reviews. The main condo was terrific - the location, the decor, and the amenities. The smaller condo was nice, but compared to the main condo, was less perfect. It was smaller, the stairway was challenging, the air conditioning was marginally effective, and the internet was unreliable downstairs and didn't work at all upstairs. However, the smaller condo did have a TV, a fine grill, and better seating on the lanai. Norma, the housekeeper, was excellent. She did a great job keeping the place spotless, and responded quickly to all requests. We have stayed in a number of places around La Ropa, and this was by far the best. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful property but with some drawbacks.

No question, the main condo of this pair of condos situated beside each other and rented together in this case, is beautifully furnished and entirely comfortable for one couple. However, the adjoining unit had some drawbacks, experienced by the second couple. I would not recommend this arrangement for two mature couples; it would be perfect for three people traveling together. Problems were 1. wifi was available only in the king unit. 2. Kitchen facilities in the smaller unit had only one usable hot plate and no kitchen utensils. 3. the upper bedroom, reached by a winding staircase, was well air-conditioned but was not sufficient to reach downstairs where the TV was located unless the door of the king unit was left open. Also with the bed against the wall, it was not convenient for two people to access. The shaded balcony outside the King unit with a good fan overhead was lovely and pleasant for 4 people to use . The other balcony was not so comfortable. The office administration and the owner were always responsive. As mentioned I would not hesitate to recommend these units for three people traveling together but not for two mature couples.

Thank you very much for this input. To improve the WiFi reception in second condo we have installed a WiFi extender. Wifi is now available throughout the second condo. The terrace of the second condo has also been improved with a table and seating possibilities. Also a barbecue grill has been added to the terrace of condo number 2. The bed in condo 2 is queen size and it is a bit tight for two adults. One alternative is one person sleeping in the sofa bed in the living room of the second condo. The kitchen in condo 2 is working again and the kitchenette will be equipped will all necessary utensils.

Wonderful condo, great location. very comfortable

This condo was the perfect choice for us. It is 2 complete units connected by an interior door. Each unit has a small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, patio and separate entrance. Both units are very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Each has its own separate A/C and wi-fi. The wi-fi did go down occasionally but I think that is just the way it is in that part of the world. The kitchens were small but had everything we needed for breakfast and for drinks. We did not do any cooking because the restaurants along the beach are within walking distance and wonderful. The smaller of the 2 units is 2-story with the bedroom and bathroom one the upper level and connected by a spiral staircase. The bigger unit has a is pictured with 2 steps up to the bedroom level. The beds and linens were fine. We used the beach lounge chairs and umbrellas which are included with the condo every day. You just call the office either the night before or the morning of and they reserve them for you. The walk to the beach is about 2 minutes through the hotel, and by Zihuatenajo standards, a very flat walk. Norma was our contact person at the condo and she was great. She also provided daily maid service. She answered our texts within a few minutes and took care of whatever we needed. There is no ocean view from the unit but the vegetation all around is lovely. The mosquitos were a bit of an issue in the morning and evening but not much to be done about that. We would absolutely stay there again. Thank you Juan and Norma for a lovely condo!

Residencias Villas Del Sol Condo

Very hard to complain about anything with regard to Julian's condo... it is in amazing, like new condition, and Norma, the housekeeper keeps it absolutely spotless ( and she is delightful ). Actually two separate units, rather than a traditional two bedroom condo, which was a pleasant surprise... with two kitchens, and two decks. It was perfect when our guests arrived after our first week. The complex itself is beautifully maintained and an easy walk to the beach. Julian responds very quickly to inquiries, and is very easy to talk to, Give this one a shot, if you're heading to Zihuat.

Thanksgiving Zihuatanejo Vacation

The Condominium was Beautiful, we enjoyed our stay there very much. We had daily maid service which was very present when we returned from the beach. I think the only issue I had because I am 6'-5", I getting through the common passage way to the other adjoining unit under the spiral stair case. Overall, we had a wonderful time staying in the unit.

Great Location

Accommodations were very clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and a constant supply of fresh bottled water. The outstanding beach is a short walk through the beautiful resort property. There are three pools for use, the largest pool very close to the unit. The administrative staff are very friendly and helpful and were outstanding at accommodating our special requests for example a car and driver for an area day tour and a cook for in unit prepared meals. We especially enjoyed and thank Norma Garcia for her great assistance. A simple daily request ensured our reserved lounge chairs were ready for us on the beach. The accommodation is very well located to many restaurants and bars both on and off of the beach. It was very quiet and peaceful. You can walk into central Zihuatanejo from the unit (30 minutes) or a five minute cab ride for between 50-60 pesos. There could be more comfortable seating on the outdoor palapas (patio's). We were very happy and had a great experience.

Lovely condo near La Ropa beach

Our group consisted of 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 babies and we stayed here for a week in January. This property is a lovely condo on beautiful grounds which are maintained to a high standard. The complex is secure and the staff friendly and helpful. The condo is well equipped and beautifully furnished and decorated. It is actually 2 condos adjoining one another which can be used separately for privacy. There is a spiral staircase leading to the bedroom of the one space. Norma kept everything very clean and well stocked, attending to our various needs. The owners, Julian & Katja, were always prompt and considerate in their communication with us. We really enjoyed eating at LOOT which is right across from the entrance to Villa Del Sol. Another restaurant with great food and service is Garrobas in the Centro area of Zihuatanejo. We would definitely recommend this beautiful condo to our friends.
