Thanks, Ken. So glad you loved the pool, the sala, the views, the luxurious linens, and comfortable beds. Buildings: So, I have stayed in Building B and Building A. The downside with Building A is road noise. In general, I have found Building B to be much quieter, but to each his own. TV: We are getting a NEW smart TV this week! Water: All the water is purified to potable standards from our faucets, HOWEVER, for the travelers's peace of mind, we will provide a garrafon (20L jug) of drinking water. Safes: The safes are checked for reliability. It was an aberration that they malfunctioned. We do not want keys are copied, so for the safety of EVERY guest, we will not routinely provide keys to the safes. The Management: I realize it is a scary proposition to not have access right away to your valuables. However, Erica's surrogate was there within the hour, and both Erica and I responded via text and phone to the safe issue in a timely manner. We take your comments seriously, as you can see. We aim for everyone to have a safe and happy vacation. It IS a GREAT place, as you say! Saludos, Harriet

We were so unlucky that it went offline during your stay. We were happy to bring you some gifts and a free night's lodging. We are so sorry for the inconvenience. The elevator is under the management of the condo complex, so it is out of our control. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay: it really is a FABULOUS property. LOL. And yes, the view is drop dead gorgeous and the amenities (from the well-equipped kitchen to the fine linens) are well thought out, so we appreciate you mentioning all that. Thank you for your review – as the owner may I say that I am truly sorry and apologise that your stay in our Mexican home did not fulfil your expectations. We welcome constructive criticism as this helps us to maintain the highest standards. The happiness of all our guests is our number one priority. The Penthouse is in a subtropical environment, so all the bedrooms have windows and are fully air conditioned. However, a major feature is indeed the open living area. We designed it that way and describe it as “open air” showing this in the photographs of the property. This allows free access to our dipping pool, a popular feature with our guests. In the time of COVID this open-air environment is particularly valued by guests. There are full length blinds that can be lowered as desired. Because it is our Mexican home we are constantly refurbishing including recent replacement of white goods, fridge – freezer and air-conditioning. As to a problem with bugs I have checked with our team who care for the penthouse and there were no complaints during your stay. Érica our manager was in daily contact with you and was not told of this problem. If problems arise, then we value the opportunity to immediately resolve them – this is in the best interest of all. There is a regular programme of spraying and fumigation. We would have promptly arranged a further spray if such a problem was brought to our attention. You commented about children staying. I can reassure you that we do not accept any bookings that include children. We make that clear in our booking conditions.
