This recently renovated mountain home is the answer to a picture-perfect vacation! Inside Sunnyside offers a chef’s kitchen and generous seating and serving space. Enjoy not one or two, but three beautifully decorated gathering spaces. One of those gathering spaces includes foosball and air hockey! There are plenty of oversized TVs in comfortable spaces so separating the sports fans from the movies watchers is amazingly easy. Sunnyside provides lots of nooks and spaces for readers, nappers, and even serious card players. Five beautifully decorated bedrooms create privacy and extra, extra comfort. Outside Sunnyside presents spectacular opportunities for fun-lovers of just about every age. There is an onsite lake and kayaks for the adventurous ones in the gang. The new Amish built wooden playset is sure to provide hours of entertainment for youngsters. And of course, after a hard day of play, the outside hot tub will provide comfort for weekend warriors of every age! Spacious inside and out, games and play spaces inside and out, this one is sure to be everyone’s favorite Canaan Valley vacation spot. Close to Timberline Mountain, Canaan Resort, Blackwater Falls and Dolly Sods, this one has it all. You’ll always want to Stay on the Sunnyside of Life!!

Beautiful property.

We enjoyed the fish-stocked pond. The house is nicely broken up into several living areas. Even with 13 of us it was not too noisy.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The kitchen is amazing with every kitchen item you can imagine as well as every drawer and cupboard clearly marked. There are notes everywhere to help you with any questions you might have. All the furniture is clean and comfy. The whole house was immaculate. My only alert for potential guests is do not bring anyone who has a problem with steps. As you can see on the floor plans there are stairs everywhere. There are tons of extra blankets and pillows. We loved the artisan shop downtown as well as Sirianno's restaurant.

Fun large family getaway

Our stay was great. We went skiing and watched the deer in the backyard. The only concern I had was the air hockey game table didnt work, and the "game room" was 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. It was a little confusing about the check out process. One place says strup the linens and take to the laundry room floor. Another place it says to strip the bed linens and place on floor of rroom.There was plenty of space for all 13 of us with room to spare.

It was incredibly well stocked and well labeled and 11 of us had plenty of space for rest and play. Great house!

Labor Day Weekend Family/Friends Trip

We had a great time staying at this gorgeous property with 8 adults and 9 kids! We had everything we needed and knew who to contact if we needed something. The hot tub, pond, and beautiful scenery were all great perks! Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Enjoyed the hot tub. Discovered a fantastic 4th of July celebration/fireworks in nearby Harman! So nice to have separate areas for kids to play and not disturb others. Very accomodating rental agency- they even mailed back a few items left in the dryer! Coffee pots had not been cleaned out (still had used filters in them) and kitchen trash had not been taken out. Otherwise,in great shape when we got there!

The Best Get Away Ever

This was our second stay at Sunnyside. It has plenty of space for our large extended family to spread out and relax. The kids loved fishing in the catch and release lake and the lake is the perfect size for a kayak race. They have added a new fire pit area that was perfect to sit around late and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house is very clean and has one of the most well stocked kitchens of any place we have stayed.

Fabulous Vacation Home!

It was roomy, very clean, well stocked with everything we might need (including a wonderfully well stocked kitchen), and was beautiful inside and out. The 5 bedrooms were supplemented with 2 extra living areas which can be used as bedrooms. One has a door, and the other has a curtain. There are labels everywhere to show where things belong and how everything best works. The outside is so much fun with kayaks for the pond, corn hole, a beautiful playset for the kids, a great hot tub, and lots of outdoor seating and tables. There are even extra folding chairs in the garage for extra seating. Check-in was a breeze as the realty company is located not far from the property, so we just picked up the keys on our way in. They were very friendly and gave us a map to the property in case our navigation didn't work (which it did-Apple maps). There were great activities close by. We visited in the summer (everything was so green!), and enjoyed hiking at Blackwater Falls SP as well as other waterfalls in nearby Thomas, riding the ski lift at Canaan Valley Resort for beautiful summer views, visiting caverns less than an hour away, and eating at wonderful, trendy restaurants in Davis and Thomas. One thing to consider when renting: our family loves keeping physically fit and exercising, so this was perfectly fine with us, but do be aware that there are a good number of stairs to navigate inside the home and off the back deck. Our family had a fantastic time and would love to visit this property again!
