Modern Country Homestead with breathtaking rural views

AroonaLea is a modern homestead with a touch of country charm. It is a haven of peace, privacy and luxury with breathtaking pastoral views to forested hills.
You will have the 30 acre property to yourselves to explore and enjoy.

The homestead, which is fully air conditioned, has a pool, firepit and park like grounds with a BBQ/picnic area by a flowing river at the end of the paddock. It is situated less than 15 minutes drive to Mudgee on the Sydney side of town, close to some of Mudgee’s finest wineries.

The homestead has 2 separate living areas. The main living, dining and kitchen area has a cathedral ceiling with high windows at each end offering views of nearby hilltops on both sides of the house.

AroonaLea comfortably sleeps 16 in six king rooms (3 with ensuite), and a share room which sleeps 4 (3 in king single beds and one in a single loft bed). Every room in the house boasts spectacular rural and garden views.

A large fully equipped kitchen with plenty of serving ware, crockery, cutlery, glassware, large pots, electric frypan, rice cookers, slow cooker, 2 full size fridges, along with BBQ and both indoor and outdoor dining comfortably seating 16, makes the house ideal for entertaining large family or friend groups. There is separate crockery, cutlery and acrylic glasses to take for BBQs or picnics by the river.

2 coffee machines, 2 kettles, 2 coffee plungers and 2 four slice toasters makes cooking breakfast for 16 a breeze. A generous supply of coffee pods and a good selection of tea is provided.

Luxury bed linen (including electric blankets), pillows, towels, pool towels and toiletries are provided. Each bathroom has a hairdryer.
There is a selection of both indoor and outdoor games, including a 1000 piece poker set, and a large selection of DVD’s.

Free Wi-fi.

While we love pets, AroonaLea is a pet free zone (as pets are not allowed in the house, this is for the safety of your pet).

We had a big family getaway at AroonaLea for Christmas (15 of us all up!) and we would give it 10 stars if we could!! Everything was spot on and we can't speak highly enough of the host Annie and the property itself. Annie is a super welcoming, friendly, responsive and thoughtful host and went out of her way to make our stay extra special (including decorating the house for Christmas and providing a Christmas tree!) and to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The property had plenty of room for us all, was incredibly well equipped, and spotlessly clean. For a large family stay in Mudgee we would 100% recommend this property... No doubt we'll be back!

Fabulous stay…

Beautifully presented property. Owners are meticulous in their attention to detail and care of the house. All bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable, and all the beds have electric blankets, which was great as the weather was chilly. Kitchen set up with everything any cook would need. We loved the fact that we could all eat together around the large dining table.Extensive outdoor areas meant the kids could head down to the creek to explore, play cricket and badminton. Sitting around the fire pit after dinner was pretty special too. The city kids were excited to see kangaroos and we were all excited to encounter wombats on our walks and drives. Plenty of board games and jigsaw puzzles to while away the evenings too. This property has something to offer everyone. Annie kept us well informed about the house. Excellent communication. Thank you so much Annie, from our crew of 16!

Luxurious Getaway

As 13 middle aged women who are well travelled we were blown away and so appreciative of the attention to detail of this property. Annie is an extremely responsive host and we didn’t want for anything. I just wished my own home was as well equipped as this luxury property. Sitting by the fire pit looking back on your magnificent home was a perfect finish to our Mudgee stay

Family holiday in Mudgee

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home, and it exceeded all expectations. The amazing setting, with stunning views of the mountains, provided a serene and picturesque backdrop for our holiday. Perfection

Our group of 12 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aroonalea. The property was more beautiful in person and suited our annual girls trip perfectly. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, the location is the perfect distance from town and the kitchen had everything you need to cook for 12 or more people. Annie was wonderful to deal with also, very friendly. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect property with 7 bedrooms for a group of 7 ladies! Fabulous long weekend - lots of relaxing, swimming, wine tasting, playing finska on the gorgeous lawn, cooking and eating. Just amazing and already chosen a weekend to return next year!

Milestone in Mudgee

Our family was visiting Mudgee for a birthday milestone and we absolutely loved Aroonalea! The location, property features, homestead and facilities were second to none. Annie was such a responsive host and her attention to detail meant that nothing was overlooked to make our stay so enjoyable. The outlook was beautiful and the home design, including four bathrooms, easily accommodated our large family. We were also impressed by the duplicate appliances, large dining areas and numerous games which made entertaining our large group so much easier. We highly recommend Annie and her property to those that want to experience a truly memorable getaway. Hopefully, we'll be back there again soon!

The perfect environment

Annie's home was the perfect environment to facilitate our work retreat. Everything about it exceeded expectations and the attention to detail was second to none. Not only did we receive a great experience over the weekend, but the communication with Annie and her assistance in planning our retreat was incredible. She really went out of our way to connect us with locals in facilitating our retreat, and it would have not been the success that it was without ber prompt and genuine help. Fantastic place for large group getaway

Lovely, well maintained property with high quality touches throughout. Annie was a great host and easily contactable. About 10 minutes drive to Mudgee with some great wineries nearby. Recommend the stay.
