We loved the location; it was quiet, surrounded by trees, and home to wildlife. The shops are close enough for a longer walk or a short bike ride. You really feel you are on a holiday when you are there. The place is really well laid out, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook for the family. The bedrooms and storage areas are super spacious, and the outdoor areas are plenty. The front deck is great for a coffee, even when the weather is not so kind, and the side undercover area is great for storing bikes and other things. The backyard is also handy with an outdoor dining area and a fire pit that the kids loved. There is only one electric heater, and whilst it wasn't super cold, it kept the place nicely warm, so we didn't need to light the fire inside at all. The only negatives I can talk about are the sofas, which are not comfortable to sit on, even for a short period of time, which was hard to avoid. Also, the floor/carpets, which were not very clean; and the house, which had dust and cobwebs. It would make so much more sense to have laminate or similar flooring instead of carpets. However, the beds, kitchen, and toilet/bathroom were super clean, so it's not a deal-breaker. Overall, it's a really nice house in a great location.
