Acerca de este alojamiento

CHESTATEE RIVER CABIN

Our stay at the river cabin could not have been more enjoyable! It is one of the best homes we've ever stayed at during our travels. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy. The location is perfect. On the river with a large deck for relaxing and enjoying our afternoons. Close to historic downtown and the wineries but tucked away so you have privacy. Everything we needed was there. The bed was comfortable. If you want to stay in and cook the kitchen has everything you need. The host was great. Very easy check in and communication made everything super simple. We definitely plan on staying at the cabin again and recommend anyone coming to Dahlonega to do so also. Thanks for the hospitality!

The property and cabin are the epitome of relaxation! It had everything we needed to unwind and just “be” all weekend. Fished right from the deck, enjoyed the fire pit and had the cozy inside to unwind before a restful sleep. The host was super responsive before and during the stay when we had a few quick questions. Would not only recommend, but can’t wait to book another stay!

We travel to Dahlonega several times a year and have rented dozens of vacation properties. This property is our new favorite! The cabin is quiet and secluded, and nicely furnished. The real standout was the deck overlooking the Chestatee River. It's huge! We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings watching the birds, fireflies (or lightning bugs as we called them growing up), and other wildlife. We even saw an otter. It was warm during our visit, but a morning rainstorm gave us a hint of what the cabin would be like in colder months: cozy! We are looking forward to returning in the fall or winter. All in all, a great experience. Thank you to our host!

Host was welcoming and easy to reach through email. The cabin was charming in a rustic way, but had most everything we needed. We really enjoyed the fire pit outside, and especially the fact that firewood was provided. The setting is serene and absolutely lovely.

Loved the view of the river from the large deck and the sound of the water flowing. The cabin is out in nature (with a few neighboring houses) but also not far from town. We loved 19 North restaurant just off the square which had a dog friendly porch. The cabin being friendly for dogs was great for us too and our Labrador Retriever. We took a lovely hike part way around the path at the reservoir lake for the town of Dahlonega. The cabin had very good air conditioning which was a real plus in July. The bed had a comfortable mattress. The TV worked great. The walk-in shower was nice. The kitchen had everything we needed including a separate ice maker on the counter. The cleanliness of the property was very good and the host was readily available to answer questions. It did look like there was some tweaking of the closet storage space in the bedroom with some blinds lying in the closet floor and some extra furniture in there, but all in all the cabin was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We plan to come back in the fall to see the leaves in color over the river and enjoy the fireplace in the cabin. Thanks for the stay! Linda

I grew up in North Georgia and have always loved the North Georgia Mountains! As a mom, grandma, daughter, nurse, physician assistant, writer, and entrepreneur, I have a deep connection to this area. After a particularly tumultuous time, I booked the cabin for a month in 2015 and instantly fell in love with the soothing sound of the river. My goal is for guests to feel completely at home here, embracing the peacefulness, serenity, and natural beauty of this place—a haven to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with themselves and nature. I hope you find this beautiful retreat with its rustic charm to be a source of serenity and relaxation.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I chose this area because I moved to Dahlonega in 2021 to be near my tribe. This community and the serene beauty of the Chestatee River captured my heart. It's a place where I can unwind and recharge, surrounded by nature and cherished moments with loved ones.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Connection to nature. Peace, tranquility, PURE JOY of the art of just 'BEING'.

What makes this cabin and property unique is its idyllic setting directly on the Chestatee River. Nestled in the North Georgia Mountains, it offers a serene retreat with the soothing sound of rushing water right outside your door. The cabin itself combines rustic charm with modern comforts, including updated appliances and cozy furnishings. Guests can enjoy fishing off the deck, relaxing by the riverside fire pit, and exploring the surrounding natural beauty. It's a perfect escape to reconnect with nature and create lasting memories with family and friends.
