Dauphin Pearl - Waterfront bay house, close to Dauphin Island Beaches!

Dauphin Pearl is a 5/3 on a deepwater inlet on Dauphin Island. Bring your boat! This remodeled home has gorgeous flooring, countertops and aesthetics! The rooms are large and have wonderful creature comforts like custom showers. You can really stretch out and enjoy a dream vacation. The outdoor living spaces are a true pleasure, clean and beautiful! Lots of deck space to enjoy the island breeze and the sights and a great boardwalk alongside the water. Plan on fishing, crabbing, and swimming! Easy Access to the Gulf Beach just 0.7 miles away by car and 0.35 miles away by foot.

The house has 2 bedrooms on the first floor with a large shared custom bathroom with two sinks. There are three bedrooms on the second floor, including two king bedrooms overlooking the canal. The second floor has a large shared full bathroom with two sinks. There is a third half bath at the ground level access from outside only.

As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

Please note the following house rules:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly with prior permission. Only dogs, must be approved by insurance policy—2-Pet Maximum Limit -$100 per dog per stay pet fee.

Dauphin Pearl was the perfect place to stay for a reunion of friends. The accommodations were clean and well-kept.

It was a very nice place. The view was pleasant. Not happy that the next door construction crew started at 6 am and again at 7 am the next day with loud saws and air tools. Nails sticking out on bottom step out front. Had minor injuries requiring bandaids so that definitely needs immediate attention. Otherwise the home was perfect for the week. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Beautiful property. Clean, spacious, comfortable. It would’ve been 6 stars if the outside bathroom/shower was inside! There was even a neighborhood block party while we were there! We will be back! The Grad Crew

Nice area

Overall the house was nice and on a quiet street. It would have been nice to have some lounge chairs on the dock or downstairs at all. The house could use a deep clean.

Friend vacation

We vacationed w my 2 best friends and their families and we had plenty of room. House was in quiet setting, very close to the beach. Kids enjoyed playing in canal behind house and the kayak provided were a BIG hit.

House was clean and very home feeling for us… downstairs A/C froze up late at night and they had it handled the very next morning… then the battery went dead in the upstairs unit they came right away and fixed it. Overall great home for family kids and perfect for our boat!

Home away from home

Overall our week stay in this house was everything we had hoped for. It was very accommodating for our large family and the littles felt right at home. The neighborhood was nice with just a couple minute walk to the beach. After coming back from the beach there was an outdoor shower which was nice to be able to wash off all the sand off before going inside. There was just a couple minor things we thought could be improved like the hammock that was tore up so we were unable to use it and there were a couple linens pulled out of the closet were visibly dirty. All in all I would recommend people to stay here and would gladly stay again!

Reported upon arrival that heat was not working downstairs, ceiling light in toilet was out, several light bulbs missing, blind missing on a window. It was day 4 before anyone responded to our requests. Property manager was extremely apologetic and sympathetic once I reached her by phone. The heat and air man was rude but did good work. Liked the house. It met our needs. We had a great time. Fishing off dock was enjoyed by several of us. For a home that accommodates up to 16 people, it would be helpful to have more silverware.

Dauphin Pearl - Not a clean property!

Upon our arrival we did find a few issues. The unit was not clean and there were broken items in the home. We purchased cleaning supplies and spent a few hours cleaning. The cleanliness was not what we anticipated for our vacation, based on the photos on VRBO. Here's a list of items: 1) Back door broken, specifically states "Use other door" and has plastic bags to fill in gaps for seal. 2) Most all the blinds are broken and/or missing the valance. All are very dirty. 3) Front door doesn't seal well, plus blinds on the door do not work. 4) Furniture/cushions are dirty and are stained. 5) Walls are dirty and paint is chipped. 6) Hearth is very dirty. 7) Fridge was very dirty. Freezer has broken/missing shelves. Also dirty. 8) Lid to trash can is broken. 9) Outdoor grill cannot be used. No adjustments for coal level, handle broken. Very dirty. 10) The stovetop was very grimy. We purchased a cleaning kit specifically for a glass top stove. We cleaned that today to the best of our ability. The vent top was very dirty. I cleaned it as best I could. 11) Cleaned the granite/cabinets in the bathroom. 12) We cleaned the kitchen granite, the light switches, and the cabinet doors and handles. 13) Only one side of the toaster works. 14) Safe does not work. The online photos are not accurate. Dauphin Island Beach Rentals knows this but refuses to do anything about it. As long as they get your money they are good. DIBR said they would send someone out to fix the grill...nobody showed

Beautiful Home!

We LOVED the house! updated, had ALL of the kitchen pots/pans/utensils/etc you could need, spacious, had a place for the kiddos to go and play while the living room, large kitchen table and back deck was the gathering place for all... Lots of great fishing, kayaks and easy walk to the beach across the main road. House was GREAT! The management company had some pros & cons though... Pros: They allowed me add my pup for weekend after my sitter had to leave town unexpectedly and I couldn't find anyone else to stay with him.. added the fee and we were good to go! Cons: I asked earlier in the day of arrival if we could check in a little earlier (1 hour) than the 3pm check in time since it didn't take us quite as long as the GPS arrival time estimated but because of a crew working on the seawall on the property we weren't able to do so... we had been in the car for 12 hours with 2 stinky 12 year old boys and a golden retriever so we were ready to get to the house since we couldn't take the dog in anywhere for an hour ... I get it, but since I had asked earlier that morning I would have been hopeful that they would be a tiny bit more accommodating and let the crew know we were arriving a little earlier .... when we got there at 3, the cleaning ladies were smoking on the front porch and the house was not ready... at all.. sheets still washing, not swept etc... the mgmt co took care of this for us and were kind enough to ask the crew to leave and let us have the house... which was appreciated the other thing that bothered me was that I asked via chat on the day of arrival how to get into the bathroom outside on the bottom level of the house and the response was that it was not avail for the guests. There's a picture of it on the ad so I had assumed it was but didn't push the issue.. halfway through the visit I forgot the code to the front door and when I looked it up there was also a key code for the lock box out front, yep... there was a key to the bathroom on the bottom level that we could have utilized the whole time. Oh well... anyway, overall the house was great and we loved our visit. The management company just didn't know the house very well, maybe it was new to them as well. This wouldn't cause me to not use them again, they were accommodating in other areas and made the visit nice... Overall, I love Dauphin Island in every way and the house was icing on the top! Beautiful house that met every need while we were there!
