"Lochlainn" is Gaelic for “land of the lakes”. That legacy continues here as a 3 min walk from the picturesque Sylvan Lake waterfront and 10 min more to the Lakeshore Drive retail area.

This large, unique property is perfect for big family get togethers, wedding parties, stags and stagettes, sports teams or work retreats.

The 11 person 13 ft x 8 ft party spa has arrived. There are only a handful of hot tubs in Sylvan Lake rental homes, and this special unit is one of a kind.

Now available as a short-term rental, the Lochlainn House has been updated with:
- high end commercial sheets and duvets cover new memory foam mattresses on all beds with allergen resistant mattress/pillow enclosures and covers.
- ceiling mounted 75” Samsung UHD 4K TV with Sonos surround sound
- access to Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Paramount+, Sportsnet, TSN and Spotify subscriptions
- second speaker zone for the patio
- wireless/wired phone chargers throughout and included 1.5GB WiFi, suitable for up to 30 devices

We are pet friendly. The large, fully fenced yard keeps your little people and fur friends safe and contained.

The decks were recently completely rebuilt with high end PCV decking and aluminum railing. The top deck has a table with chairs around the fire table and access to the hot tub. The lower deck has a fully modular and adjustable outdoor sectional and table with seating for 9. There is comfortable space and chairs for a total of 27 people in the yard with 4 tables (one most suitable for food staging and prep).

*A short note on booking procedure. We used to accept instant booking through VRBO, but we no longer do. Their system has permitted double bookings and bookings on restricted days more than once. We will review and confirm all bookings quickly, but we need to protect ourselves from the tech limitations of this platform. We still love VRBO, and we want them to do better.

*A short note on cleaning fees. We are doing our best to keep this as low as possible, but we don't like short cuts here. The fee never covers our actual costs, which we are ok with. The house is big, with three full bathrooms and a lot of heavy, high quality bedsheets that get cleaned every time. That takes time and it's important to us that you arrive with the house in a state you can feel comfortable with. We've added, reluctantly, some simple check out requests to try to limit situations of excessive abuse. Adding a modest pet fee is an effort to reduce costs for those without animals. We adore them too, but they have a material impact on cleanup costs.

This is the premier big house rental in Sylvan Lake and we have aspirations for regular and continued improvement. Long lead time rentals will almost certainly find exciting new amenities at check in that didn't exist at booking.

- room for one more basement arcade machine (looking for a Dance Dance Revolution, fingers crossed)
