Summary:
Home Sweet Home is a 3 bed one bath home located centrally in Wichita to Old Town, downtown, the river, Delano District and the main Hospitals. This home has 3 bedrooms, one of which is the loft which is the entire attic of the home. Located in a quiet neighborhood just south of Kellogg Ave, this home is cozy and ready for your stay. Has parking behind the home for 2 vehicles and on street parking in front of the home. Washer Dryer access in the unfinished basement.

The Space:
This is a single family home with a living area, dining room with seating for six, two main floor beds with an entire upper floor attic that has been finished with a desk. Great option for a work trip or visiting family in Wichita. The kitchen has an electric stove, Keureg provided with pods, full size fridge and dishwasher.

The Neighborhood:
Quiet family oriented area that is central to Old Town, Intrust Arena, College Hill, and all major Hospitals.

Getting Around:
3-4 minutes off of Hillside and Kellogg.

Perfect for what we needed

Had my sons football tournament at the highschool 3 mins away. So the location amd size if the property was perfect for us as well as the property in general being clean and spacious for the six of us. The host was also exceptional. Would stay again in the future.

Beautiful property and great location in Wichita!

Loved the property and amenities that were available. The host was easy to reach via email when needed. The neighbors were a bit loud though, especially around 11pm. Other than that i have no complaints! We will definitely be back when we return to house hunt!

Great for what we needed

This is a cute little house in an older community. There's neighbors pretty close on both sides but seemed friendly. My 16 yr old daughter and I were there for a girls softball trip and it was exactly what we needed. The AC cooled the house down quickly, there's ceiling fans in every room which was a nice touch. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The best part about this house is it was between the two fields we could play at and within 5 minutes of everything you could need - fast food, Starbucks/7brew, stores, gas stations, laundromat, etc. Ultimately we would stay there again but we really only used it to sleep and shower. We didn't cook, eat or even spend much time there since we were at a softball tournament all weekend.

Overall, it wasn't bad. The counters weren't clean upon our arrival and several of the lights and outlets didn't work. It could be a great house but it needs some work.

Birthday staycation

We checked in 2hrs early with permission and the house wasn't very clean, one of the door handles to one of the bedrooms fell off in my friends hand promptly upon arrival. There were no baking trays in the kitchen till I left one of mine for them. The property manager was good about communicating with us. All in all we had a great stay but if you are looking for cleanliness and a place that isn't falling apart this one won't be for you.

Had to stay at a hotel instead

The home was very clean. The host, Jeremiah, was very responsive to our questions prior to our stay. We arrived late on Friday evening which probably was part of the issue. The home itself shares a driveway with the next door neighbor who stared us down as we pulled in. We unloaded the car and the neighbor on the opposite side of the home would continually have cars pull into the driveway or just shout from the street and someone from the home would come and have a short conversation through the window. This happened with at least 5 different vehicles. There were also multiple groups that walked past the home. We were going to be in town for 3 days with 5 small children so although this may have been fine for just adults, we absolutely did not feel comfortable having them all stay here. We ended up loading up the car and finding a different place to stay. I contacted the host who said it was a bummer, the neighborhood is really safe, the neighbor is a great guy, and when I explained the situation and told him we were leaving, he stopped all contact. Again, the house was clean, it might be a great place for someone else to stay, but we did not feel safe with our family here.

These folks checked in and checked out based on the appearance of neighbors, we have had so many guests and great reviews with zero issues. They are nice people and its unfortunate that this was the perception. I am sorry they didn't like the neighbors, it was a Friday night and they had a get together during the summer. They wanted a refund after checking in and I am sorry, that is outside of our cancellation policy. They chose to check out.
