La granja PODERE CUNINA es un lugar de vacaciones agrícolas dentro de este sistema de recuperación arquitectónica y paisajística que respeta plenamente su entorno. Los materiales tradicionales típicos de la zona, obtenidos a través de una investigación precisa y detallada, se utilizaron para la renovación. Ubicado dentro de una gran reserva natural, con muchos animales del bosque pequeños y medianos, ofrece 7 pisos recientemente renovados para turistas, con vistas a Montalcino, el Monte Amiata y las colinas de Buonconvento y Siena. Está equipado con muebles antiguos de calidad, equipados con todas las comodidades modernas, con certificación de nivel máximo en cuanto a seguridad y ahorro de energía (calefacción por suelo radiante mediante sistema geotérmico, aislamiento térmico, piscina).
La ubicación del agroturismo es perfecta. A minutos del encantador Buonconvento, y a menos de 30 minutos de varias otras hermosas ciudades de la colina toscana como Montalcino (que se puede ver desde la casa), Siena Pienza, Montepulciano, S. Quirico. Esto hace que las relajantes excursiones de un día sean posibles y aún permita tiempo para volver a disfrutar Podere Cunina. GREAT place to stay in Tuscany!

This place is fantastic! I can’t say enough about the hosts and how nice our experience was. The place is simply stunning. The sunrises and sunsets were so beautiful! You can see several of the hill towns from the property. We stayed in Morus and the views were phenomenal! This is a central location for exploring Tuscany. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back!

Wonderful time in a beautiful setting!

Our stay at Podere Cunina was too short. It is a terrific location to explore Tuscany and all that is has to offer. Silvana and Piergiorgio are the most gracious and wonderful hosts. Their recommendations were magical and only added to our experiences. Their property truly is a gem under the Tuscan Sun.

Podere Cunina was incredible. It is located in an idlylic setting in the heart of Tuscany. Incredible views and comfortable/authentic accomodations. Close location to Siena/San Gimignano/Pienza/Montepulciano. Silvana and her husband were incredible hosts that assisted us with recommendations/reservations/etc. I cannot recommend enough and definitely hope to return soon.

Lovely spot in the Tuscan countryside

We stayed for 3 nights in a wonderful villa just outside Buonconvento. It was clean, and enchanting in an idyllic location. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They also have cooking classes on site and the grounds are beautiful. Every morning we woke up to the foggy beautiful countryside and at night could see the stars. The location is perfect for touring the lovely hill towns and spending time in Siena. They also have a beautiful pool (we didn’t use) and gardens all around. Perfect spot for a wonderful time in Tuscany.

This property was perfect home base for our Tuscan adventure. It’s central to dozens of hill top towns that are easily reachable by car. Silvana was a perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed to make our short 3 day stay as comfortable and as memorable as possible. There are a few other apartments at the farmhouse, and we were slightly concerned we would hear other people. However, the house is literally built out of 200 year old stone and you only hear the Tuscan breeze at night. The apartment was not air conditioned, but the stone and air cooled down to chilly sleeping weather by 10pm. We will absolutely be staying here again if we ever find ourselves in Tuscany.

Pictures do not do this home justice! This quant country Tusacan villa was peaceful, beautiful, charming and our hosts were gracious to share their lovely estate. Our apartment was comfortable, clean and well stocked for our basic needs, and the views from all rooms phenomenal. The sitting room upstairs was a cozy retreat. The pool was clean and cold (just before Easter in April, but a challenge accepted by us Northerners accustomed to the cold for a very brief dip). The countryside and small villages were like home which we explored. You cannot leave this place without a stroll on the rolling country hills among the cedars and we would highly recommend the hike to the "Big tree" which is well worth the time. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in Tuscany

I would absolutely recommend Podere Cunina to anyone wanting a relaxing, quiet stay in Tuscany. From the start, Silvana was greatly helpful and accommodating, and always quick to respond. The check in process was smooth, and Silvana gave us plenty of recommendations for things to see and do in Tuscany. The property itself is nothing short of beautiful. It’s quiet, remote, however close enough to town (Buonconvento) that it is convenient for anything you may need (ex. groceries, restaurants, gas, etc). The apartment we booked had gorgeous views of the rolling hillsides, and was quite spacious for two people as it was a two bedroom. It was clean, comfortable, and just what we were looking for. It also had a small kitchen which was perfect for the nights where we wanted to stay in and cook. There are also plenty of amenities on the property including a pool (too late in the season to swim, sadly), firepit, private patio and EV chargers. They also offer cooking classes and other activities on site. It’s within an hour of all the small towns and cities in Tuscany (ex. Siena, Montalcino, Montepulciano), and a few hours away from either Florence or Rome, so the location is great too. Thanks to Silvana and her family for welcoming us and hosting us on their beautiful farmhouse!

This is the place, folks. When you imagine Tuscany, and agritourismo, this is it. Sylvana, our host, was so wonderful and the apartment (we stayed in Morus) was gorgeous. We loved going into Buonconvento for dinner at night, and swimming in the pool. There are herbs and flowers all around the property and it is well taken care of. We found out that there are over 4,500 agri-tourist locations in Tuscany, so you can end your search here and pick this one. We met people who come back year after year because it's so beautiful here.

Gorgeous property, beautiful room and caring hosts

We stayed for two nights and wish we stayed longer. The property is surrounded by rolling hills like out of a movie. The house itself has an upscale rustic feel. Comfortable beds and full kitchen. Near all the hill towns and 10 minutes from a small town with good restaurants. Most of all the hosts were fabulous. Besides being very helpful upon check in, they were a lifesaver when our rental car had a flat tire and left us stranded in Montalcino. Piergiorgio came to our rescue and picked us up at 830 in the evening then drove us to the train station the next morning!!! Cannot stress enough how nice and helpful he and his wife were to my family.

Firstly, if you are seeking a base from which to explore Tuscany around the Sienna area, then you really must consider staying at Podere Cunina. The location itself is wonderful - with stunning views in all directions. We just loved watching the scenery as the light changed through the day - be it the sunrise, sunset, the early morning mist in the valley, the distant views of Sienna - or the picturesque view of Montalcino. The second reason for staying here are the wonderful apartments. We stayed in the the Morus apartment for 2 weeks - and truly appreciated the detail and quality that had been applied by Silvana and Piergiorgio. Upon arrival, Silvana gave us a map with recommendations of what to do and where to go - and was always at hand if needed to provide further advice. There also a great walk to the distant 'big tree' - which takes app 50 minutes to reach. As well as a good excuse for keeping fit, the walk provides further stunning views of the distant hills, mountains and volcano. Over the years, through business, I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively - and stayed in some truly lovely hotels and great settings. Nonetheless, I have to say, in terms of the quality of the apartment, plus the stunning views and opportunity to relax and unwind, that Podere Cunina is right there at the top of list!

Picture perfect!

Wonderful views and immaculate landscaping around the home. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Host was very friendly. Only thing to note is that the drive up to the house is a long uphill gravel road. If you have a car with low clearance, u will have a tough drive. Come prepared or use a rental!

Wonderful house with amazing views!

Silvana and Piergiorgio have made the Podere Cunina into a fantastic place to spend a week or two. The house is very carefully restored with lots of beautiful things from the past to make the rooms feel extra special. This house feels very authentic and is really well equipped.The views from the house are spectacular, the sunset alone is worth a trip here. The saltwater pool is perfect for hot summer days and doesn´t feel too small or crowded even if the place is fully booked. We really enjoyed our two week stay here and we can highly recommend it. This part of Tuscany is in our opinion the most beautiful and the people who live here are very kind and warm. You need to have a car to get around and you have a lot of nice places to visit nearby. If you like peace and quiet, amazing scenery and good food you should book Podere Cunina for your next holiday!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Coming from northern Italy, the Freddis came to visit Tuscany and, like many of us, fell in love with the region. They were lucky and bold enough to take on the challenge of restoring this farmhouse to the south of Siena from ruin, since it was pretty much just walls when they found it
We were invited by the Freddi family to come and visit this April and have a chat over lunch. As we drove up the dirt road with a few potholes here and there (nothing our own DT-mobile, a Toyota Prius, wasn't able to handle), we concurred that it was worth it! Anyone arriving here cannot be left untouched by the stupendous views of the surrounding hills..While the photos on their website are quite spectacular, the estate is so much better in person. To be told of the views is one thing, but to actually be there and be surrounded by them and see the medieval hilltop village of Montalcino just beyond the house is certainly another. I stopped and imagined enjoying the sunset by the pool, carved out on the hill just below the house, with a glass of wine and the view: what dreams are made of!!
