Perfect Getaway to the lovely Kendall Cottage Kerikeri

Relaxing sunny and newly decorated lovely 2 bedroom cottage. We are situated in the beautiful Bay of Islands town of Kerikeri - we call our paradise! Our gorgeous cottage sits in a beautiful idyllic and peaceful area away from the centre of town, even though its only 5 minutes away!
Even though we are in a rural setting, you will still find lots to see and do, with just minutes away from The Parrot Place, the famous historic Kerkeri Stone Store, cafes, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, beauticians, beautiful bushwalks, waterfalls, galleries and much more.
This is a great space for you to bring along your family of little ones (or gown up ones), or for a couples getaway, or with a group of friends. It’s even a popular spot for working away from home in Kerikeri - spoil yourselves and stay somewhere you will enjoy coming back to at the end of the day!
Make this your base for visiting family and friends in Kerikeri, or while here to see more that the winterless northland has to offer!
Warm in winter or cooled down in summer with an air conditioning heat pump. Lovely sun-soaked deck for enjoying a glass of wine while the BBQ is getting ready or just sitting back with a good book that you've been dying to have time to read, and listen to the plentiful bird life.
Another bonus is we are only 2 minutes from a good boat ramp, so bring your boat! Filleting table is ready and waiting for that big catch!
Oh, don't forget that good sleep! Our beds have quality hotel cotton linen and Bambillo mattress toppers to add that extra comfort. Also in each bedroom are blackout blinds, so you get to have a wee sleep in and fingers crossed so do the kids!

There are great swiming holes, beaches and a school public pool not too far away.

Your own access is down a driveway to the tree lined hideaway of Kendall Cottage.

Fantastic location for exploring Kerikeri - 20 minute walk to wonderful gastropub (Plough and Feather) via the scenic Stone Store gardens.Spotlessly clean and well appointed, comfortable and welcoming accommodation.The kids loved having a trampoline and outdoor toys in the garden which felt really private. Linda was a really communicative and helpful host - thank you so much for providing a really wonderful home from home!

Te Araroa section walkers

We found the cottage to be well appointed, warm and welcoming. It is close to the Te Araroa trail and we were able to enjoy a drink by the river at the end of our section walk, then wander back to the cottage for dinner and a good sleep!

Wonderful time away

Beautiful property, loved the peaceful setting and convenience to so many local attractions. Our kids loved the outdoor area, perfect place to come back to and relax after a busy day sightseeing. Linda was so welcoming and we had an amazing holiday!

Wonderful holiday cottage

This is such a great spot to spend time relaxing. Refreshingly clean, tastefully decorated, beautifully furnished - everything we needed was there. The cottage itself was plenty spacious for two, and then having the covered deck as well as lots of garden to enjoy - bonus! Hosts were welcoming and hospitable. This is a real gem.

A wonderful home from home

Spotless and extremely well equipped this is a lovely self contained house at the bottom of Linda’s garden. Definitely 5* Linda’s has thought of everything. Quiet and perfectly positioned to explore the Bay of Islands area. Linda was very attentive to our needs but not in the slightest intrusive. Highly recommended with lovely walks into town and around the area in the bush and by the river.

Comfy and cosy

We had a very nice stay here - comfortable and warm, and very quiet. We also appreciated the unexpected chocolates on arrival, and the very tasty fruit we were given from the orange trees all around the property. The only thing we didn't realise was that the pool wasn't very close to the cottage (actually closer to the owner's house) so we didn't use that. Overall, a nice place and we'd be happy to stay there again.

Delightful cottage with all the extras

Kendall Cottage is an absolute treasure. Cosy, clean, peaceful yet super close to town and hot spots. Absolutely fantastic for kids with trampoline, cubby house, swings and large yard. Linda and her family were super helpful and made it even more special leaving out toys and books - very thoughtful. Highly recommend and couldn't fault it. We will definitely be back. The Millers :)

Fantastic and quiet location close to points of interests

Kendall cottage presents very well. It has all you typically would expect and then some more. For example, body wash and shampoo were provided as well. There is a dishwasher. All is up to very good standards. All is very well kept up, clean and it's also decorated very nicely, e.g. using flowers, there are small pieces to decorate the walls, colors, materials, all is very well done while still keeping it simple. One cannot other than feeling at home very quickly. If you are into hiking or running, there are tracks not too far, e.g. to Stone House or up to Rainbow falls and beyond. I'm definitely happy to recommend Kendall Cottage. Thank you, Linda and family for doing such an awesome job and making it available!

Relocated in 2021, as we went into our second lockdown, we moved from the hustle and bustle of Auckland, to the peace and quiet Kerikeri has to offer. Such a beautiful spot for us to bring along our extended family, so from the age of 4 to 80 :-)
We love the outdoors, pottering around landscaping our grounds and gardens with adding pops of colour and flowers for the birdlife.
We are enjoying hosting new people from all over New Zealand and also from around the world - we also now love seeing them come back time and time again!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Our beautiful cottage is newly decorated and privately located on the back part of our large flat one acre section. Great for the kids to run around and jump on the trampoline, while the adults relax. Very close to a great boat ramp. We are located in a rural area of Kerikeri, so we feel we are out of town, even though we are only a few minutes away. Its a great place to bring up kids, with space to run around and schools very close by.

Spoil yourselves and have somewhere lovely to come back too at the end of the day!
We are close to town when needing to get some retail therapy, a pamper, wine and dine, or just head out to see the many sights Kerikeri and the rest of the Bay of Island has to offer. Explore further from this base and go right to the top of the north island!
We have some beautiful beaches up this way that are just 15 to 35 minutes away! With golf courses nearby and great walks for those trampers that love the outdoors.
Explore and also enjoy being at Kendall Cottage!!
