Spend your days kayaking around the lake, hitting the links at Lake Placid Golf Club, and skiing at Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort. Another ADK adventure

Another wonderful week in Lake Placid. The location is 10/10. The owners, property manger were great. They answered questions promptly. We had everything we needed in the kitchen as far as basics go. The only missing thing was spices and Tupperware. We would recommend this spot and hope to stay there again.

Nice location. The property is pretty beat up. Air conditioning on the third floor doesn’t work too well. However, still a reasonable place to stay, just know the upkeep isn’t great and it’s a kind of dingy.

Conveniently close to all

We had a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids) stay at this location. It was very clean, so easy to get into town, and an easy drive to the mountain. It’s a condo so the living room was small for our group, but the kids had tv’s in their rooms so it really worked out very well. Highly recommend.

Great Location

This property is located in perfect proximity to Lake Placid main street, Mirror Lake and Lake Placid. We were a party of 5 + infant and were able to walk to all of our deserved destinations. Chris quickly responded to any questions. The home was well equipped.

Wonderful

Great mid town location. Comfortable house. Very clean. Several burnt out light bulbs need changed, that is the only issue with the property. Thank you for the opportunity.

Clean, but Need More Lights that Work

Very happy with location and cleanliness of home. Furniture/beds were also comfortable. One suggestion for improvement is that it could definitely use new and more lamps in the townhome. Most were broken or needed new light bulbs - this could be easily resolved.

The Good:- Excellent location — just a 5-minute walk to the main street.The Bad:- The townhome shows signs of wear and could benefit from better upkeep. The main bathroom feels dated, and the living room furniture is noticeably worn.- The 3rd floor becomes extremely hot from around 11 AM and doesn’t cool down until about 1 AM, making it essentially unusable during that time.- The temporary cooling unit in the living room may pose a security concern, as the exhaust setup requires keeping a window open to vent hot air.

Cute townhouse but small for 6 afults

Location was amazing and friendly owners. We had 6 adults in our group, two couples and 2 single adults. The pictures were a little deceiving, we were under the impression that there were 3 bedrooms ( one queen bed, one full bed, and two twin beds) and two futons. When we arrived there were three rooms but no futons, only a small fold out couch. The twin beds were not as we thought so one person had to sleep on the fould out couch. It was a little tight but we made it work.

To clarify, the third bedroom is a loft space that includes a daybed with a trundle underneath, so there are two twin beds in that area. After checking with our property manager, we discovered that the two futons had been stored in the closet in the third-floor loft, which may have confused us. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused and will make sure this detail is clearer for future guests.Thank you again for your thoughtful comments. Clean and Convenient to Main Street

This unit (apartment/condo style) does sleep 8; two beds, two twins and two foldout chairs. It is relatively compact but does have the space and furnishings needed. I did not like the parking for the rear units because two cars parked there the entire time we were there even though one of the spaces was for loading and unloading only. Communication with the owner was sparse but adequate. There's no A/C in the queen room and no hair dryer at all. Neither of the fans in the bathrooms were operational. If you are not planning to spend a large amount of time in your rental, it is a great place for the price. We were visiting family so most of the above was trivial to us but something should be done about the parking.

Thank you for providing feedback. It is always welcome and we consider it a gift. We purchased this unit in June of 2021 and working to make sure it is perfect for guests. In response to your items: -I did try and contact you several times before check in and I encourage my guests to call or text me immediately with any concerns or questions during their stay.. -All Guests are required to follow parking rules and if I was informed I would have addressed it immediately. I will take it up with the owners of the other 2 units to make sure they are distributing the same parking map I send with instructions. -The size and layout of the unit is clearly documented in the listing and 8 is the maximium guests allowed. -There was a window unit in the Queen bedroom but unfortunately window units are not allowed and I had to remove it. A replacement portable unit has been ordered. -I will check on the bathroom fans as they were operational at closing. -If notified blowdryer was missing I would have had one dropped off. I will replace it if it cannot be located.

Entsprach nicht ganz unseren Erwartungen

Die Unterkunft entsprach nicht ganz dem Inserat, welches wir im Internet gesehen haben. Es wird geschrieben, dass dieses Haus mit 8 Personen bewohnt werden kann. Es hat aber nur sechs Betten, zwei davon in einem Dachgeschoss ohne abschliessbare Türen. Das Badezimmer sowie das einzelne WC sind sehr klein. Teilweise funktionierten die Lichtschalter nicht. Die Küche ist sehr klein sowie fehlen teilweise Küchenutensilien. Es waren für fünf Personen nur vier Messer vorhanden. Es gibt keine Abstellmöglichkeit z.B für Bikes, leere Koffer, etc. Das Haus wurde uns in einem sauberen Zustand übergeben. Auch Bettzeug und Duschtücher waren genügend vorhanden. Preis- /Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht wirklich. Wir hatten Kontakt mit der Vermittlung. Dieser Kontakt war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Ruhige und schöne Lage. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe genügend vorhanden.

From the owner: “The condo square footage is in the listing, as are accurate pictures of all bedrooms, bathrooms, and the kitchen. Eight people are the maximum allowed by local short-term rental rules, and there is an additional pullout in the living room. Typical groups of eight in this unit include children, and for groups of eight adults, we recommend renters look at 4 bedrooms.”

Easy to Find and Great location.

Overall had a great time. This is exactly what my friends and I were looking for on a weekend trip to placid. Within walking distance to Main Street and all the shops in town as well as the Olympic Hockey Rink and Museum. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

Nice place to stay

The place was clean and comfortable for 6 adults. The dining area is on the small side however there is a table outside with chairs. It was quiet there were a couple of people in and out during our stay but they were all nice. We ended up with an extra vehicle and the owner supplied us with a space he had available across the street. The owner responded to all texts. There were no emergencies so we never had to call for immediate support. The owner called a day or so ahead of time to check with us and made sure all necessary information was supplied. Walking distance to Main Street was quite nice.
