A beautiful and comfortable space for families & friends or romantic getaways with incredible views of the golden sand dunes. Extremely warm and sunny home & cabin available with quality furnishings. Beautiful sunrise & sunset views and minutes walk from the beach.

The 2-bedroom house has a covered outdoor dining area & decks looking out to the beaches & water. Equipped with everything you need for a great escape.

Master bedroom with queen bed, second bedroom with double and single bunk beds (new comfy mattresses!).

Modern bathroom with shower & toilet. Plenty of off street parking including carport and free street parking too. This is a lovely beach holiday house to enjoy.

The self contained cabin at the bottom of the property (listed separately) has a beautiful and new queen bed, microwave, TV with FreeView, Nespresso Machine, picnic set and ensuite with toilet & shower. Beach and shower towels provided for both house and unit and samples of gorgeous 100% NATURAL body and face bars by local skincare company Nudi Point. Book both for extended family or friend get-togethers.

Only stayed one night but unit was spotlessly clean, good parking. 2nd bedroom not really fit for 2 adults as very small. Bathroom was lovely.

Shortly after arrival, we found cockroaches in a cabinet. There was also a power outage for a while. We tried numerous times to contact the owners of the apartment for assistance. We called all the contact phone numbers provided. Nobody ever answered the phone. We left the next day and never heard from the owners. The apartment was quite nice and well equipped. But since it is impossible to get in touch with the owners, I would not book this place again.

Was a great stay everything we needed our only issue was the code was not sent so we had to wait and try wirk our how to get code ended up having to call expedia which sorted it but was abit of a pain. Otherwise location was very nice and place had a really nice feel and virw was amazing pitty it was raining but was still a great place to stay overall.

Cabin was as described. Nice view, peaceful. What I didn’t consider was Opononi has a population of 270, so it’s a tiny settlement. Options for dining & groceries very limited. I should have taken my own supplies of food & alcohol, especially over Easter.

The presentation and comfort of this property is exceptional and well managed. The only thing missing was a laundry facility as we stayed 4 nights. We will definitely stay again when we return.

Loved it !!!!

We loved staying in the bungalow. It was perfect for our little family. It was well set up and had everything we could need. With and amazing view. We were checked on regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. When visiting home, we would love to stay there again.

Fab little getaway spot

Loved 'Opononi Bliss'. A well kept, snug little house, minutes walk from the beach, the store and an A+ fish'n'chip shop. The house has is very tidy and is well stocked with creature comforts (and has a good shower - which is always a plus). The owners are easily contactable and responsive too if you need anything or have questions. Will definitely come back here in the future.

The views are worth it alone - but we have also made sure that every part of the cottage and cabin is well thought out - we stay at places all around the world and have learnt what makes a place comfortable and enjoyable. Hopefully we have created the perfect stay for anyone who chooses to book with us.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Fishing is very popular in the Hokianga, whether from the shore line/boat/wharves. Pete at Hokianga Express offers fishing charters so contact this local to ensure you catch your dinner. A major activity here is the sand board riding on the golden dunes. Pete at Hokianga Express operates every day across the harbour with the first trip at 10am and every 30mins there after until everyone is safely back in Opononi. Pete operates from the Opononi wharf and bookings can be done through the I-SITE. There is a great swimming hole/pools at South Head-park at the end of Signal Point Rd walk through the track to the left down to the beach. Turn right about 50-75m and you’ll find a slightly elevated large flat rock, climb up there is a lovely fresh salt water pool about a meter deep. This is only accessible at about 4hrs either side of high tide. WALKS HOKIANGA is provided for you to explore the area. There are many local attractions in the Hokianga - too many to mention here but there is plenty of information available at the I-SITE in Opononi. There are some leaflets in your accommodation to get you started.
