Asentado en el acantilado con vista al Pacífico, la casa del acantilado en el punto de la nutria es diferente a cualquier otra casa de vacaciones en la costa! Consta de tres estructuras hexagonales que rodean una cubierta de spa abierta y puede acomodar hasta ocho adultos en áreas de descanso semi-privadas separadas. El hexágono más al oeste ofrece vistas espectaculares hacia arriba y hacia abajo de la costa, desde el faro de Cabrillo en el sur hasta Todd Point en el norte.

We enjoy watching the waves and hearing the rain in a winter storm. The upstairs room is one of the best we have found for that purpose. Our only suggestion is for a better heat source in that building. Even with the stove and the small space heater a blanket was still necessary to be comfortable.

A Beautiful Home in a Gorgeous Setting

We came to Mendocino for a wedding and when I saw this listing I knew it would be perfect for our family. The house is designed such that there is an amazing view from every room in the house. The home is extremely well equipped and we wanted for nothing. There was a family of deer that greeted me one morning when I was making our coffee! The beds were very comfortable and it was so quiet. We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay.

Wow! This house is amazing! The views from every room are incredible. We watched whales spouting from the kitchen windows. The location is perfect in a lovely area. Very quiet. The house was spotless and the beds were very comfy with lots of pillows and extra blankets. It felt like the house was set up for very special guests and not just renters. We have stayed in quite a few VRBO rentals. This one is by far the most special. We would love to stay again in the future.

Spectacular Seaside Seclusion

This is the second time we have stayed at this amazing property, and this visit did not disappoint. The house is gorgeous, well appointed, with a direct view of the stunning Pacific Ocean. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and staring at the sea and the lovely wildlife who call that neighborhood home. We were also lucky enough to see some whale spouts.

Weekend at the coast

Very nice house. The lighthouse lights up the house at night so bring a sleep mask. The house is an interesting layout, there is not a living room area where more than 4 can sit and visit unfortunately. Hot tub was great and you could not ask for a better view of the ocean. We saw whale spouts and a whale breech. A bbq would have been nice so we could grill outside. There are LOTS of deer in the neighborhood too.

View to remember

I miss it already! It's a lovely and comfortable house. It was terrific to listening to the sea lions and the surf, and to watch the pelicans -- and for a couple of days, to watch wales from the comfort of the kitchen. It's within a short drive of Mendocino and Fort Bragg, for shops and restaurants. It's even closer to several good places to walk or hike: Jug Handle Reserve, the Point Cabrillo lighthouse, Russian Gulch, and the Mendocino headlands. One small note to the owners: twice, the toilet by the master bedroom was running, and it wasn't easy to make it stop. We stopped using it and relied on the other bathrooms, but a larger group wouldn't be able to do that so easily. I called and left a message about it, but I'm not sure I got through.

The home is unique due to the time and style of when it was built. It is not a cookie-cutter home, and shows its character from the moment of entry. The home is built around the hot tub with an open sky, and is still in a protected area of the home. The ocean views from all the bedrooms, the hot tub area, and the backyard are breathtaking. Its hexagon shapes and all the windows make it a fun and relaxing experience.
