Cozy A frame cottage just minutes to Pembroke for all amenities. This 3 bed 1 bath cottage was recently renovated and provides a crisp clean experience on a sought after section of the Ottawa River. Excellent sandy beachfront with gradual entry great for kids. Easy access to Hazley Bay for calmer waters great for paddle sports. Two paddleboards, kayak, and kids kayak included in rental. New composite deck. BBQ, Internet, A/C, and 30ft dock. Steps away from Algonquin trail for walking, biking, running or ATV. Miles of boating and excellent fishing (walley, bass, pike). Island Brae is a 9 hole golf course just 5 minutes away and other 18 hole courses within 20 minutes. Weekly rental in summer months. Weekend or shorter term rentals available outside summer months. All new windows, doors, and siding were installed fall 2022.

This was our third visit to Ryan’s cottage. We love this little cottage for our family get-togethers. It is small and simple, which we don’t mind because we spend most of our time outside. It is on a quiet part of the Ottawa River, but very close to amenities in Pembroke.

Excellent little spot close to town amenities

We had a very nice week at this cottage. It’s a quieter part of the river, boat-wise, so good SUP’ing and kayaking. Good fishing spots too. The cottage is on the smaller side, but it sleeps six comfortably, and otherwise we spent all our time outside, so we did not mind the smaller living area. We brought a pop-up shelter to create more shade near the water, as it’s on the sunny side. It was our second trip to this cottage, counting last year, and we are looking forward to another week this coming August.

What a Lovely Vacation!

I absolutely loved this place!! We stayed for a week. Megan was quick to respond the the couple of questions I had at the beginning. The location was amazing! It was so beautiful! The size was perfect for me and my friend! We went out on the kayak and paddleboard into the inlet, which was an amazing place to paddle! We saw turtles and herons and fish! It was close to town for supply runs. We spend the entire time relaxing and recharging. It was exactly the vacation I was looking for!

Très bel endroit

Très bel endroit. Très propre. Petit bémol : la plage est vaseuse, donc pas propice à la baignade, mais excellent pour faire activité nautique tel que kayak et paddle board

Small but has everything you need for a quiet stay!

Great little spot for a relaxing getaway. Cottage is exactly as described. A short drive into town if you need anything. Host was very responsive.

Great accomodation

Our stay was for a week in this property and everything was perfect. Owner is very responsive and all instructions clear and straightforward. The property is nicely renovated and still going under some upgrades we understood and that will be perfect. Nice clean waterfront property, has everything you need for relaxing down time. We enjoyed the time and we will be back.

Awesome

Absolutely enjoyed ourselves, so quiet and relaxing and the view is spectacular. Fantastic location feels remote and yet so close to everything. The cottage has a rustic feel while mostly renovated with everything you would need. We had brought extra things we thought we would need but didn't. Will definitely go back with a probable longer stay with friends and family.

Lovely and Relaxing Stay

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The recent renovations made it feel light and airy, uncluttered and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment; we found everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time on the deck, eating our meals outside (weather permitting) and enjoying the beach and the water. The nearby Algonquin Trail was lovely for daily walks and made us wish we brought our bikes. The cottage is so convenient to the grocery stores and other amenities of Pembroke; it’s only a few minutes drive. Ryan is a terrific host whose communication has been top notch. I’d recommend this cottage as a relaxing getaway for anyone.

Nice little property!

Nicely updated kitchen with all the basics you need. Bed was very comfortable. Easily sleeps 6 but the cottage is not big. The river-front has a beach, great for kids (shallow) with a new dock (great for sitting out enjoying the sun and water). The water was extremely calm. The kayak and paddle boards were wonderful! The bbq worked well. Overall a great little spot! Tanya and Scott

Ryan and Meghan grew up on the Ottawa River and have vast knowledge of the area. We currently reside on the Ottawa River and spend most of out weekends out on the water with the kids.
