Relax with your whole family at this peaceful waterfront cottage.

Our vacation property offers a Private Beach, Boat Ramp, WIFI, Smart TVs, Full Kitchen, Laundry, FREE Parking etc.

Beautiful shallow entry is great and safe for swimming.

It's located in a peaceful, family-friendly neighbourhood with access to shopping, grocery, restaurants within 10-15 mins drive.

4.5 hrs to Toronto, 1.5 hrs to Ottawa, 15 mins to Pembroke, 15 mins to Quebec on Hwy 148.

The cottage was beautiful. We were there in the winter so were unable to do any beach activities. There was an indoor fireplace that we didn't use. The driveway and porch were well cleared and the walkways were passable. The loft bedrooms were nice - no way to make them really dark. The basement room was perfect - pitch black. The main floor bedroom was conveniently next to the washroom. Heated floors were awesome!There were plenty of plugs for electronics and wifi was adequate. We were gathered for a family Christmas and there were plenty of dishes for everyone. We did bring an extra table and chairs to accommodate everyone who was there for just the day. It was a nice touch that the Christmas tree was still up. Definitely a great place for a larger group to gather. It was quite close to Pembroke and all amenities. Would recommend booking this location.

The place is lovely however both times we have stayed the cleaner hasn’t done the best job. The amenities weren’t topped up, there was nothing to clean the surfaces with and no shampoo etc in the washrooms. The trash from the last time we stayed was still in the shed and the water was nearly empty with no replacement. However I messaged and the host had the cleaner come with the supplies. It’s a shame it took 2 days though. Overall beautiful place but could do with some modernising in terms of applia

Kitchen was terasonably well equipped. Bedrooms were fine although spread out. Bathrooms were newer and very clean but a bit small.

This property was exactly as pictured, very clean and had necessary amenities. Very nice to have the coffee bar set up. One thing, we were not aware of the trail system two doors down. It is very beautiful and we used it daily. May want to add that to your ad on VRBO. Huge selling point. Very cute/quaint town.

Overall, the property is quiet and great for spending time with family.Pros:Both bathrooms are modern and have heated flooring which is wonderful if staying during colder weather.Only concern is no place to put clothing etc in the bathroom as counter space is limited. A shelf on the wall would be a welcome addition.Great balcony overlooking the river.Lot's of kitchen counter space and all the amenities are there to cook and clean.Cons: The furniture is somewhat past it's prime (Sunken dining chairs) and limited group seating in the main living area if more than 4 people. Lighting is quirky and it would be great if the light switches were labeled as honestly, unless you stay there and experience it, makes little sense.The fridge is quite loud, and door to the outside sitting enclosure is broken, so it wont keep mosquitos out.Also, you wont be able to swim here, but the beach area is quite nice and peaceful.The property needs a bit of maintenance to be a 5 star, but I suspect the owners do not live nearby as the garbage in the side building has about 30 bags of old garbage in it.What surprised us, was the day we were to leave, a real estate agent showed up at around 9:30 am stating they had scheduled a showing of the property and even asked if we were ok to let them in to show the place (we were not)Note: the owners are very responsive and made the check-in easy.

We really loved the house and the location. Stunning sunrise views, very comfortable rooms and beds and all the amenities one would wish for. Chami was very helpful with our check in and out directions. Close to Pembroke and shopping and the golf courses we played.

The building itself is beautiful and spacious. We were a little surprised that there was no dock. While the dry part of the beach was sandy, the river bottom was quite muddy and very difficult to walk in without getting stuck in the mud, so that a dock would have been appropriate. The BBQ scrubber was completely worn out and not useable. The strong rotten egg smell of the sulphate in the water was a big issue and a show stopper for us, I’m afraid. Such a shame, because the cottage itself was so lovely.

The place looked like the photos and had everything we needed but the floors were quite sandy when we arrived, the extra towels were not in an easily accessible location, and there was a light switch next to the tv that was turned off which did not allow us to use it for the first day. The host did not let us know that this switch impacts the power to the tv. The basement tv also did not turn on. The power to the fridge was also tripped, so it was off for half a day before we realized. Aside from these things, the stay was very pleasant.

Family Outing

Great place to stay

The facility was as pictured and advertised. Clean, beautiful location, beautiful views. Lots of parking.We really enjoyed our stay and our visitors were suitably impressed. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful cottage

I had an amazing stay at this cottage! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The interior was cozy and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Disappointing

The smell of the water was unreal, comparable to rotten eggs. Could not shower without gagging. Listing is for 8 people and yet there was enough cutlery for 6. Garbage was to go in the shed/ when the shed was opened we were assaulted by flies due to there being 30 or so bags piled up. Three chairs for the fire pit ( cottage sleeps 8!)

Nice getaway before school starts

The location of the cottage was nice being so close to Pembroke. The interior was spacious with 1 bedroom on ground floor, 2 bedrooms (1 open in loft and 1 enclosed) upstairs and 1 in the basement. The 2 bathrooms were nice with heated floors. Exterior deck and firepit were nice areas to relax. Beach was nice but the boat launch was a bit tricky as it isn't overly wide and the lake bottom was mushy for launching our watercraft. (We ended up using the nearby public launch to take our seadoo back out of the water). Fishing was great and our family enjoyed many fish dinners. (tip- fishing by the edge of the rapids was good) We were unaware that the rapids would prevent us from going upriver (towards Pembroke) but we could go downriver for many miles so this wasn't an issue. Only negative was the well water had a sulfur smell but host provides bottled water cooler for potable use. Overall we had a nice family get together to end the summer.
