We had a great time on our trip. Was so nice to have easy access to a beach that was not crowded at all and we caught a ton of fish off the dock.

Overall good stay. Couple small issues that need to be addressed. Bathroom floor needs to be redone severely. Cut my foot on the broken tiles. Ants in the house were an issue not just a few but many. Other than that everything else was acceptable.

A perfect getaway!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience starting with the property itself and our more than accommodating host. The property was clean, beautiful, and a perfect location to experience both bayside and beachfront. We can’t wait to be back.

4th Birthday Beach Celebration

Our second visit for the Sunshine House, and we love the location. The property has the amenities we look for when we visit Sargent. Intercoastal fishing, views of the beach, plenty space, and easy access for us to load our buggy and ride out to the beach for much needed R&R. Till next time, thank you!

Our new happy place

Stayed in Sargent for the first time! Wow! Beach in front of us, intercostal behind us. Sit on the front porch and watch the waves, sit on the back porch and watch the barges, and boats go by, while catching fish off dock. Heaven on earth! Thanks for sharing your house with us.

Wonder Stay!

We have been to Sargent several times and I will have to say that this is one of our favorite houses. It is perfect for a family of 4-6 without feeling too small or cramped. We were able to catch several fish right off the pier. The pier is lighted and I suggest fishing off the left side as we got hung up a couple of times on the right. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we hope to be back soon!

Our family loved this rental. We had a fun-filled weekend of relaxation, beach time and fishing. During out stay we caught 3 baby hammer heads and lots of catfish right from the dock. The house is clean and comfortable with all the right necessities. We would love to stay again in the future

Our new FAVE vacation spot!

We had an amazing time! Having the ocean in the front and the ICW with a private fishing dock in the back was perfect! We caught many different kinds of fish and even a sting ray. Two fish were really big, so they were dinner and the rest we released. The house was great too and had everything we needed. The only thing I would suggest would be for the housekeeping crew to definitely wash the bed comforters. I had read about unclean linens on a review, so I checked and washed them all before we slept. The sheets and everything else was exceptionally clean and taken care of. We absolutely canNOT wait to return for our next trip and plan to make this little gem our home away from home as often as we can.

4 1/2 days wasn’t long enough!

Went on our first annual employee appreciation trip and just WOWW!! The guys and their wife’s LOVED IT! We had the best time and made great memories. Walked the beach at night, so beautiful! The fishing right off the dock from the house was the best! House was super clean, as well!! Love the bay view from the front and beach view front the back. CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK!!!! Clean and decent house. Fishing from the dock is not great because of all of the oysters that ate across the bottom. Be prepared to lost 50% of what you cast out. I did not have this issue at the 2 other vrbos i have stayed at in Sargent. Still caught some decent drum. Its pretty good.

Fine for a weekend

The property was ok and most of my issues are because we stayed a whole week. One, there’s no dishwasher. Washing dishes on vacation is not all that fun especially when there is only one dish towel and a small drying rack. It’s also a farmhouse sink which is also horrible for hand washing dishes. Also, your dishes are only as clean as the last person left them. Two, the second bedroom is not a bedroom, it is a living area with beds in it so there’s no privacy for anyone staying in there. Three, there’s a lever for the bathtub drain plug that doesn’t stay in the open position; I tied a fishing weight to the lever to keep it open. Crabbing was absolutely amazing. Fishing was mediocre. We came in between major storms in June, not sure how much that impacted things. Oysters off the dock will cut your line, you’ll need steel leaders. I’d also recommend heavy egg sinkers instead of pyramids.

Keep looking!

Where do I start? Dingy and dirty. Grass in back was high, outside balcony does not have cover like pictures. windows were dirty, parts of kitchen cabinets with drips of food/liquid, coffee maker with old filter and coffee grounds, trash drawer had trash around it, stairs and upstairs carpet was dingy with stains, water was yellow; can see it in shower and toilet. Couldn’t feel clean after taking a shower just looking at the yellowish water. No dishwasher! Outside fishing pear table light didn’t work! Outside surveillance cameras were not facing the stairs as described, they face the front and back porch- did not feel like we had any privacy!! Six of us stayed 3 nights and they leave only one roll of napkins and 3 rolls of toilet paper!! Location is great but not worth the money for a not well maintained rental!! Needs TLC..

Nice location Will not stay again!

The location was nice but the house was dirty upon arrival. Dirty soiled bed linens Dirty bathtub. Had to clean bathtub and wash bedding upon arrival. Spoke to house Manager and was told she would bring a gift card due to me having to clean and wash bedding and she never did. The house was nice but a shame the cleaning was not good. When we arrived the carpets were dirty and bedding and bathtub was very dirty. I had to clean myself before starting our vacation. Was disappointed. Would of liked an option to message or call property owner but the only option was housekeeping manager that never showed up. This house has a lot of potential if cleaned and managed properly. The bathroom doors also do not lock and the upstairs sliding door is hard to lock. If there was an option to message or call owner before posting this I would have certainly done so first before posting. Fishing was great but unfortunately will not book this property again because cleanliness is high priority for us!

Great Views Spacious Inside Living!

Went for the long weeked Columbus Day! The house was ground level & 2 stories. There was ample parking out front. Also a 1/2 bath & laundry on ground floor. The second floor had a spacious kitchen, dining, master bedroom & living area. There was a variety of kitchen items & well stocked. Plenty of seating at the table for 8. The internet service was great as we watched Netflix at night. We were mostly outside. The 2nd floor there were 2 twin beds & a seperate room with a queen. Outdoors one side was bay facing with a private dock & had a fillet table with a hose to rinse off. The other side was a clear beach view from the front porch, to watch to sunset or just listen to waves after dark. Very relaxing stay! Would definitely come again.

Best Kept Secret!

This stylish space was the perfect getaway for a girls trip! The house is fully furnished with amazing amenities. We made steaks and loaded bake potatoes on the grill and watched the dolphins jump in the bay as we had dinner on the balcony! We loaded up the ATV and drove miles along the breath taking Gulf of Mexico and even checked out a few food trucks. If you’re looking for a calm relaxing getaway this is the perfect place!!!

Home away from home!

Seriously can’t get enough of this place! Before we made it home we booked another trip! Fishing from the dock we caught all kinds of fish, big and small. During one of our rides down the beach and saw 2 very large sea turtles…. Coolest thing ever!!! The house was sparking clean and decorated with the most thoughtful touches that give you all the warm beach feels. Can’t wait to go again soon!
