Waterfront cottage with expansive views of both Lake Nipissing and Callander Bay

As you make your way up the quarter mile driveway, you will notice it is shared partway and then divides into two private drives. Please stay to the left all the way. Keep your eyes open, on your left hand side, you may often see the many deer, ducks, or swans that visit our pond. As a caution, drive slowly at dusk as there are plenty of deer in the area.

Upon arriving at Grandview, you will be welcomed by our sandy recreation area for hours of badminton, volleyball, and horseshoes along with a grassy area for ring toss and other family outdoor games. Overlooking the bay is a large fire pit with a fantastic view, plenty of seating, and firesticks for hotdogs and smores. There is also a multi person tree swing, outdoor eating area, BBQ and more.

Entering the cottage, you will be immediately drawn to the vast expanse of windows showcasing our grand view. On your way to explore, you will be forgiven for passing by the newly renovated bathroom with its granite vessel sink and luxury pressure-balanced shower panel featuring a rain shower head, waterfall head, hand held attachment, and 5 body jets. If a soaking bath is more your scene, there is a second bathroom with a beautiful marble sink, wooden bench, and deep soaking tub.

The kitchen is large, bright, and well equipped to cook a variety of meals. from quick and convenient to elegant and gourmet. Enjoy your culinary efforts in the large dining room which boasts a large 8 person harvest table and spectacular views of both the lake and the bay. Off the dining room and primary bedroom, there are sliding doors onto the expansive deck which runs the length of the cottage. Enjoy a cocktail stretched out on the lounge chairs or be more social on the rattan outdoor living room set....or both, the choice is yours.

The vast great room offers panoramic views of the lake and bay. The wall of windows ensures you can sit comfortably in one of the two reclining sofas or either of the reclining chairs and watch the renowned Lake Nipissing sunsets. Once the sun sets, pull up the leg rests and watch satellite tv, stream a movie on the 75 inch smart flat screen, or open up the drawers underneath and discover the array of cards,dice, puzzles, and board games.

All the bedrooms feature new luxury hybrid mattresses, new crisp white linens, plenty of pillows, plush duvets, quilts, and remote controlled ceiling fans. The primary bedroom features a king size bed with storage, flat screen tv, workstation/makeup prep, and private deck access. Lying in bed you can watch the hummingbirds fight over sweet nectar and if you are an early riser, watch the sunrise from the luxury of bed. The corner bedroom features two queen beds and a generous size closet. The third bedroom offers more flexibility with 2 XL twin beds to comfortably fit an adult in each or use the conversion kit to convert into a second king size bed.

Having the "grandest view" on the lake comes with some compromises. This means unfortunately our lot isn't level, there are drop offs at various points on the property. The walk down to the lake involves a steeper gravel drive and then some stairs to reach the waterfront, but don't worry, there is no surcharge for the cardio workout coming back up. Please pack appropriate shoes knowing the terrain. Down at the waterfront, there is plenty of room for your boats and PWC, along with the canoe, paddle boat, and kayak that comes with the cottage. There are some life jackets and safety kits in the dock shed however there are no guarantees on size and fit. Callander has two free public boat launches, beaches, parks, and splashpads just minutes away for your convenience.

Given the terrain of the property, ranging from the ponds, valleys, drop offs, and of course the lake, children must be supervised at all times and unfortunately it is not the property for those having accessibility concerns and/or issues.
