Golden Mallard Chalet: A 4-Season Retreat
Golden Mallard Chalet is located hillside at the 4-season Calabogie Peaks Resort. Amenities available through the resort include access to the private beach club; pool; exercise facilities; hiking trails; unlimited golf, tennis and boating, etc. During the Winter, Golden Mallard Chalet will be your private retreat with ski-in/ski-out slope access. 100% COVID-compliant cleaning ahead of every stay. Airbnb guest service fee is included in the rate and paid by host. Maximum 4 adults.
The space
Golden Mallard Chalet is approximately 1200 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 1-1/2 baths. The unit can comfortably sleep a maximum of four adults but can accomodate a group of up to six if there are at least 2 children (ages 5-17). The unit has a propane gas fireplace. A brand new patio with BBQ provides panoramic views of Lake Calabogie. Everything you need is here including fast internet, TV, full kitchen and laundry.
Guest access
Golden Mallard Chalet is allocated 1 resident spot in the parking lot and there are usually free spaces in the visitor parking area. There is also free parking in the turn around at the end of Mary Joanne Drive if needed. Golden Mallard Chalet provides access to hiking and ski trails from the front door and is a short drive away from the main resort building and associated amenities such as the private beach club on Lake Calabogie and the golf course/tennis facilities.
Other things to note
Use of resort amenities requires the purchase of day-use passes through the resort. A family pass (up to 2 adults and 3 children of the same family) costs $98.75/day. Individual passes are $37.50/day. Guest can choose to purchase passes for each day of their stay, a select number of days, or no days at all, and can arrange the passes through the resort directly. During ski-season resort amenities are included with ski passes.
Please note that Golden Mallard Chalet is not appropriate for infants, toddlers or children under the age of 5. The townhouse is a two level unit without baby gates and there are steep hills not far from the doors.
We have built the Airbnb fee into our rates so there are no additional charges aside from the cleaning fee and 13% HST. A tax credit may be available for Ontario resdents. Search "Ontario staycation tax credit" or ask us for more information.
