Welcome to Desert Rose, a historic Spanish-style hacienda in Tempe where timeless Southwest architecture meets spacious resort-style living. Known locally as “The Pink House,” this distinctive 5-bedroom, 6-bath estate blends authentic historic craftsmanship with modern comfort, creating a stay that feels both memorable and welcoming. From the hand-carved beams reclaimed from a historic Tucson church to the clay roof tiles salvaged from a celebrated Phoenix estate, the home carries a deep sense of Arizona heritage while offering the space and amenities today’s travelers expect.



Step through the grand entry and the character of the home immediately unfolds. A dramatic iron staircase rises beneath soaring ceilings accented with original wood beams, while hand-painted Spanish tiles add warmth and texture throughout the space. The layout invites guests to explore—from the dedicated game room with billiards and a large smart TV, to cozy lounge spaces designed for conversation and relaxation.



Just beyond, a striking Papago Mountain mural by local artist Melody Smith anchors one of the home’s most photogenic spaces, paired with an oversized antique mirror that captures the warm desert light. Other Things to Note:

NOTE: Pool Heat is optional and requires a $200/night Pool Heat Fee with a 3 night minimum. Payment & request must be made at least 72 hours prior to arrival to ensure the pool will be heated at arrival.



Guests will be required to sign a pool use and safety waiver prior to check-in.



We have a ZERO TOLERANCE Party & Event Policy. The City of Tempe takes noise disturbances very seriously and can result in fines & the removal of this listing from the various platforms.



Property includes a Minut noise alert monitoring system to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations; it simply monitors the noise level (measured in decibels).



A Ring Camera at the front door, over garage and the backyard RV gate are installed to monitor REAL occupancy and for emergency situations only. No other security cameras or recording devices are present on the property.



Pet Policy: Dogs are not typically permitted at this property, but please feel free to inquire if you would like to request an exception. If an exception is granted or a pet is found to have been present during your stay, a non-refundable $175 pet fee will be charged to cover the cost of additional cleaning required after any stay that includes a pet.



Unauthorized late check-outs will result in a $75 rescheduling fee charged by our housekeeping company. Please coordinate any changes with us in advance to avoid this fee.
