Acerca de este alojamiento
Fleurty's Point Cottage at Franklin South, Huon Valley, Tasmania
Fleurty's Point Cottage at Franklin South enjoys 15 acres of absolute water frontage situated directly on the Huon River with uninterrupted views of Sleeping Beauty, the Huon River, and nearby mountains.
Surrounded by an acre of manicured gardens as well as a fruit and nut orchard and direct Huon River frontage, this one-bedroom holiday house is the ideal spot for exploring all that the Huon Valley has to offer.
The property is within close proximity by car of the historic Franklin village, Wooden Boat Centre, wineries, cider houses, fabulous restaurants, and nearby settlements of Geeveston, Dover, Southport, Hartz Mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk with Cockle Creek also well worth a visit during your stay being literally the "end of the road" ie. as far south as you can possibly drive in Australia.
The property has one bedroom available with luxurious king-size bed, mattress protector, electric blanket, and amazing quality linen and pillows, as well as fluffy towels.
The property has a bathroom with shower, bath and wash basin. The toilet is located in a separate room. Note: neither are sufficiently large to accommodate a wheelchair, so our property may not be wheelchair friendly.
There is a separate laundry within the home with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, should you need to do any washing of clothes. Washing powder is supplied. There is also an outside clothesline.
The home features open plan lounge, dining room and new kitchen with wood heater, split system air-conditioner and heat pump and digital free-to-air television with wireless broadband internet.
The kitchen is well-appointed with electric oven and cook-top, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, cutlery, crockery, utensils and glassware as well as pots and pans for up to two adult guests.
Comfortably and tastefully furnished, the home looks out onto the Huon River with Sleeping Beauty and Mount Wellington in the distance.
The property is offered on a self-catering basis with nearby towns of Huonville and Geeveston good places to shop to stock-up on food and drink for the duration of your stay.
A small selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, and usual pantry and cooking condiments (sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil - local Tasmanian products wherever possible) are available at the property as well as breakfast provisions for the first morning of your stay.
Should you need herbs for cooking during your stay, please enjoy those from our kitchen garden. We also have a lemon, lime, quince, apple and pear tree as well as several hazelnuts within the one-acre garden immediately around the home.
Salon-quality shampoo and conditioner as well as soap, lotion, bubbles, bath fizz, sunscreen are all provided in the bathroom.
Well-behaved, house-trained, dogs considered upon request (extra nightly fee applies and current vet vaccination certificate, and security bond to cover any damage or extra cleaning may be required).

Ya Pulingina (Hello and Welcome) from Stephen, Libby and Ellie Mae.
Well, we love Tassie and all her beauty. We love dogs, especially our 14-year-old fur baby. We love taking photos, and all those placed around the home have been taken by us and are all local Tasmanian locations. We are passionate about real food, and love cooking, believing in organic, homemade, home grown, whenever possible, locally sourced and definitely free range. We are so thrilled to be able to offer this unique accommodation for others to relax, breathe, and create yet another memory of Tasmania.
We do wish you a fabulous stay and welcome to your home away from home, your destination!!!!
Cheers Stephen, Libby and Ellie Mae

Por qué escogió este alojamiento
Fleurty's Point Cottage at Franklin South is the perfect location for exploring the Huon Valley and its surrounds. The guest handbook includes a selection of places to visit and things to do to make every day of your holiday memorable and enjoyable.
We have suggested itineraries for three, five and seven-day visits together with driving tips for getting there and scenic highlights along the way. We recommend a stay of at least five days, preferably seven ... there is a lot to see, and a lot to do, or just enjoy the property "as is".
Each sunrise and sunset are unique. Watch the boats come and go as they sail down the Huon between Franklin and Port Huon ... or why not bring your boat, fishing gear or kayak and join them ... our driveway is big enough to accommodate both your car and trailer.
Travelling without a boat? That's okay, we can point you in the right direction should you wish to book a scenic river cruise, a guided kayak tour, or do a spot of fishing from one of the many jetties.
