Welcome to Pier House! Perfect for small groups, this cute oceanfront cottage provides amazing ocean views from inside and outside, with nothing between you and the beach but a sand dune. You are steps away from world-class fishing on the Rodanthe pier!

Single Level: Outside you will find an ocean-facing sun deck with ocean and pier views, a back deck with a gas grill, a sand path to the beach, and a foot wash station. Inside, the sunny Great Room greets you with ocean views, a flat-screen TV/BluRay DVD, and ample seating. Show off your cooking skills in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, counter seating for 3, a dining table that seats 7, and a closet for the stacked washer and dryer. Off the Great Room is Bedroom #1, furnished with a King bed, a flat-screen TV/BluRay DVD, and a private full bathroom. Off the kitchen are Bedrooms #2 and #3, which share the hallway bathroom. Bedroom #2 has a Full bed, a flat-screen TV/BluRay DVD, and deck access. Bedroom #3 is furnished with 2 built-in Twin Bunk Sets and has a flat-screen TV/BluRay DVD and ocean views.

Please note: Due to the new decking and parking, you must access the home through the back bedroom door.

Extras: 4 TVs, 4 DVD players, beach access nearby, ocean-facing sun deck, foot wash, books, games, traditional coffee pot, Keurig, crockpot, air fryer, and a gas grill. No Smoking/Vaping. Dogs Welcome. Distance to Beach Access: Oceanfront. Beds: 1 King, 1 Full, 2 built-in Twin Bunk Sets. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-In Location: At the Property.

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

IMPORTANT BOOKING NOTES/ LEASE AGREEMENT/ ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL FEES: Please read the RENTAL AGREEMENT during the booking process. Immediately after booking you will receive an email with instructions to electronically sign your lease agreement to complete your reservation. There may be additional optional fees charged to your reservation that may not be able to be listed on this site (examples: pet fee, pool heat, early check in, security deposit, special events, etc.). Travel insurance can be purchased through VRBO or directly through Generali.

Can't Beat the View

This was the perfect house for us. It was on the water, views for days, and on a quite spot of beach. House was clean and spacious. Can't wait to visit again.

Pier House - Surf Front

Great place for a beach vacation. You can set up for the day on the big, wide, new front deck like you are on the beach. The deck is at beach level and it only takes about a 20 second walk to reach the ocean. There is a small dune in front of the house deck that is easy to walk around and easy to look over, but it gives you some privacy. The ocean and beach sand in Rodanthe is so clean it is amazing. The old style beach house has been completely renovated and it is very nice. We cooked multiple full meals there and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Wonderful family home

This home was absolutely wonderful. The home was just as pictured and easily the cleanest home we have ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat in for the week. Pier passes were wonderful for our fisherman. Decks were wonderful and new. Would not hesitate to book here again- a wonderful home.

Great location!

The Pier House is a wonderful place to stay with a family. Has the open kitchen/dining/living. And you open the door and there is the beach. There were issues with the cleaning service and it was difficult to reach them so I ended up communicating with the owner. Issues were resolved. Rodanthe is windy but we love it there.

This was our third yr staying at the Pier House. It keeps getting better.

The house was spotless and the upgrades are fantastic. Steps from the beach The owner responds immediately when there are questions and concerns. 100 percent satisfied with the property, the location and we have lucked out with great weather 3 yrs in a row. I'm sure the Pier House is responsible for that too.

Easy beach access and spacious

We were pleased with this house. It was extremely close to the beach. Made it easy to enjoy the beach within minutes. It also has a large deck so that you can enjoy the night waves. With the common area being so spacious it was so easy to have a child's bouncy and highchair setup and still had great space. The appliances were very accommodating as well. Laundry was easy and double oven made cooking for the group much easier.

Pier House had exactly what my family needed for a great vacation. Our children loved being able to walk from the house to the beach whenever they wanted and the beach wasn’t crowded. It was perfect

Awesome location

There used to be a road in between the house and the beach but it has been covered with sand and sand dunes with the last few storms. Makes this house as beachfront as you can get! Awesome views and spectacular sunrises and moonrises. The kids surfed directly in front of the house and kiteboarded just a few miles down the street. The house itself was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook all our meals. We've already booked our stay for next summer!!

Awesome stay on the beach as advertised!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Pier House and it's proximity to the pier for our family anglers. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook without having to go out to eat dinner. Our pups also had a great time so we appreciated the house being pet friendly!

Pictures dont do house justice

House is bigger than what pics show was very impressed.. owner called to check on us because it stormed all but 1 day while we were there May 7 may 14th.. the road into the island got shut down a cpl of times but we still found something to do .. If this house was available for our beach trip next yr i would definitely book it again but its not but we will book again in the future..we r older and loved the single story lol

The Best ocean view!

Had a great time, the ocean view was fantastic, and the house was very accommodating! Plenty of space for everyone with a big kitchen and a private master bedroom and bathroom! Loved our vacation!

Extremely unhappy

We contacted the owners several time previously to our trip, but they didn’t seems very warm and friendly, came across very cold. We got to the property, yes views are gorgeous, but it stopped there. You get into the house, it’s very run down from the first step you noticed someone spilled a drink on the wall and it’s dripping behind the couch, the couches were ripped and had an odor, the windows were filthy. I tried cleaning them but it’s from the outside. The bathrooms were moldy, master bathroom outlet was hanging out of the wall with live wires, master bedroom had blood stains on mattress cover and pillows. Kitchen had dirty dishes in the dishwasher, stove was filthy, kids room had sand on beds, and spare room had blood as well. Mirrors in dining rooms old and fingerprints all over, overall nightmare couldn’t wait to leave, can’t wash clothes because the washer was full of black mold and dryer is broken. Garbage was never taken to the curb, there was maggots all over the can, the deck and side of house, the smell made you gag sitting on the deck. Owner contacted us on vacation to have furniture delivered during our stay, such an inconvenience not a vacation! Not a happy experience at all

Great location!

We had a great time at the pier house. We went with my fiancé’s family and it was their first time in OBX! Such an awesome location for their first stay. Loved being right on the beach. The access to the pier was a plus as well! I do wish there was easier access to the outdoor shower. You have to go through one of the bedrooms, down a porch around the back to get to it. I wish there would’ve been access if you cleared out some of the front shrubbery and made a walkway that way! I was also a little disappointed with the kitchen stock. A lot of reviews said fully stocked kitchen but I wouldn’t say that it was. We cooked most of our meals. I could only find a tiny cutting board, the knives weren’t great and there were no seasonings (although covid may have something to do with that). I have stayed in places with a lot more stock but it wasn’t terrible, just not what I was expecting so had to buy a few extra things. Also the owners were quick to respond which was great! The hose burst and one of the tubs was clogged but they had someone out to fix as soon as they could. Overall it was a great stay and everyone was raving about the place!

8/7-8/14 Beach Trip

This house was great for a beach trip. It's totally oceanfront and very accessible to the beach. The only thing that could've been better is the access to the outdoor shower. It was very hard to get to from both the front and back yards to due to overgrowth. The pier passes were awesome as a perk as well! Great hosts and great place to stay!
