Welcome to Winter Retreat! A casual 2-bedroom house located in the heart of Sunset Crest, just a minute from all the amenities of Holetown. Enjoy easy access to the private Sunset Crest beach club (available to our guests) and take your choice of lounging by the pool or snorkeling in the sea.

Our house has a spacious front garden surrounded by palms with an airy covered patio - a great spot for lounging or enjoying casual meals. Step inside the living area and you'll have even more places to relax - including a daybed, next to a dining table with seating for four. The kitchen is outfitted with all you'll need while on holiday - including small appliances, full-size fridge, stove and oven - and also opens out onto a small covered back patio. The two bedrooms are both air-conditioned and share a bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The master bathroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds.

You will literally be in the heart of Holetown - just a few minutes walk to all amenities including lots of restaurants, bars, nightlife and shopping. The local bus also runs nearby should you wish to explore other parts of the island. During the day we expect you'll spend most of your time at the private Sunset Crest beach club lounging by the pool, or snorkeling and swimming at one of the pristine beaches on its doorstep.

Fantastic location and beautiful little villa

We absolutely love staying in Holetown and this is a lovely property. Access to the pool through the private club is perfect for the kids, especially with the little quiet beach right there. Location of the villa is extremely close to everything. We will absolutely stay here again!

Property as described, very clean with plenty of info provided about local attractions. Short walk to beach, bus stop and Massy's. Thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Margot (housekeeper who visited twice at a specified date/time) during my stay. If I returned to the island in the future I would definitely stay here again! Thank-you!

Initially the property looked lovely. I’d suggest there are are some elements that with some attention could make it fab. Bathroom, rust spots made it feel worse than what it was, add bit of colour to the property etc (clinically white all over). Great location, literally 5 mins max to the beach. Good outdoor space and facilities in the kitchen. Air con superb.

We really enjoyed our time in Barbados. This cozy cottage was perfect for a relaxed family stay—comfortable, clean, and well equipped. While the decor is a bit dated, everything was functional and thoughtfully arranged. The location is fantastic: walking distance to the beach, Massy grocery store, pharmacy, public transportation, and several great restaurants. Access to the beach club was a great bonus, and the nearby Holetown Beach and Folkestone Marine Park offer excellent snorkeling right off the shore. The people of Barbados were incredibly friendly and hospitable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again!

The positives are location and access to the beach club and whilst the property has potential it is in desperate need of refurbishment and maintenance. The bathroom felt unclean due to rust stains both on the floor (needs better sealant) and in the tub and on the shower head - additionally the mosquito pane was fitted with only a wooden peg keeping it in place which was similar to other panes around the property too - they need proper fittings that feel secure. Whilst there we intended to use the kitchen facilities to cook however this proved challenging. The oven didn't work effective and became full of smoke so made it impossible to cook in - it was either dirty or cleaning products made it smoke when in use. Additionally, cookware was dirty and greasy and required significant cleaning before use - kitchen cupboards smelled very musty. Sadly we were also burgled, not the fault of the owners but indicated more security needed on doors in particular - luckily no-one hurt.

The bungalow was lovely! It was nicely appointed, within a 3 minute walk to the beach and pool, as well as to the large grocery store. The cottage had 3 separate dining spaces (inside, back porch, and front terrace), as well as AC in the bedrooms. It was also just a few minutes walk to Holetown, with plenty of dining options. Would gladly stay again ☺️

Lovely Stay

Had a great stay. Very spacious accommodation, lovely gardens. Accommodation had everything we needed, very comfortable. All the staff connected to the property were very friendly & helpful. Enjoyed seeing the monkeys in the garden, great location. Would highly recommend.

A very nice place to spend a few days and check out Holetown. spacious and easy to relax in. A few minutes walk to the beach, bars and restaurants on first and second street and other touristy areas. quiet neighborhood close to a grocery store. I would stay here again.

Great location

The property needs some tlc and updating but this is taken into account in the pricing of the property. The good outweighs the bad. The screens badly need replacing, and the bathroom is subpar. The ac works very well, the rooms are a good size, and the location is perfect. Check in was easy, as was check out.

Great location- villa had everything that we needed - the bbq grill was great addition- my only negative comment would be the traffic - at times very heavy and difficult to walk because no sidewalks.

The house was very clean on arrival. Close to beach, restaurants, cafes, and supermarket. Free access to the beach club was a real bonus. We didn't cook indoors but there were plenty of pans and utensils for use if we had decided to do so. Kizzy did the housekeeping and was lovely. Communication with BSL was good. All on all a good stay.

I would totally recommend this house! Excellent location good amenities, place is exactly as pictures, well equipped and bright and airy. My dad said the single room beds weren't the most comfortable but the double room was good. Overall fantastic value for money in a perfect location on a perfect island. Beach club great addition too. Be ready to pay additional fee if you want late check out….little disappointed with this.

For the price I thought it was a great clean homely accommodation perfect for our family of 4 two week holiday. Excellent location for beach, supermarket, beachside pool facility (included) and bus transport along the coast. The cleaner was very friendly and did a good job. Although I didn't meet the BSL staff in person they called to introduce themselves and were very prompt at communicating via email and friendly. I would definitely recommend their services from our experience with them.

March of the centerpedes

This property could only be called a doer upper. The property is poorly maintained and the outside is not maintained at all. Despite highlighting the gunged shower head., shd did nothing about it The bushes arould thd house were so overgriwn the an army of resident centrepedes came in every night. I killed over 40. The rear of the house was disgusting and hadn't been touched in years. The front porch was rotten and will probaby fall down soon As there is a speed hump outside thd house, all the rat running cars, buses and truck screech to halt then rev up at full belt. Location great but a property that needs a lot of mobey spent on it.

Great Experience

We have stayed (and lived) in this location several times, are new to this particular villa. The neighborhood itself is quite lovely, lush, and beautiful. Hibiscus Avenue is a short cut for many motorists to bypass H1 so be prepared for that. It's not horrible, but definitely a factor. Other than that, we had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, the villa was spacious and minimally but tastefully decorated. As always, we enjoy the visits from the monkeys, the sounds of the tree frogs and how the hand over the baton to the Doves at daybreak. The Bean and Bagel on the corner is quite the convenient restaurant. Great food and good strong coffee (I'm a self proclaimed coffee snob!), excellent service. All that's needed is within a few minutes walk to include the ATM, restaurants (check out Surfside for Sunday Steel Pan music), Holetown (One Love Bar after Surfside on Sunday is an experience to have!), and most of all the most lovely piece of beach with great snorkeling. Our concierge was so pleasant and available, and quickly attended to our requests. All in all, I can't wait to return.
