Flounder is an architecturally designed and beautifully presented holiday home, tucked away in a peaceful bush setting only a short walk to the Lake Tyers foreshore, 90 Mile beach, and the Water Wheel Tavern. The house overlooks a large private garden visited by a wide variety of native birdlife and echidnas.

Featuring 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs, an additional bedroom and bathroom downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, a large outdoor area with a picnic table, and a fabulous large grassy area, The living area opens to the north onto a series of sunny timber decks which step down to barbeque and fire pit areas (BYO Wood). Flounder is perfectly equipped for your next private getaway.

Perfect for our family escape

Clean, well equipped with all we needed. Definitely will stay again. Loved the open space and separate downstairs area for the teenagers. We will return! Even loved the resident echidna in the back yard.

Family trip to Lake Tyers

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in good locations, close to the beach and cafe/pub. I’m a quiet neighbourhood. Big yard/garden/outdoor space with outdoor table and a fire pit. The property looks exactly like in the pictures. Roomy bedrooms with build in wardrobe/shelves. Spacious and comfortable lounge room with lots of toys/ board games and books. The kitchen has everything you need such as quality big pots, pans, cooking utensils, herbs and spices. This is the second time we stayed at the property, however this time we found that the floor was not clean properly- still quite sandy, everything else is cleaned. Two stove’s back burners do not hold the flame after ignition. One of the front burner is temperamental. The upstairs bathroom’s lock doesn’t work properly either. This problem fed back to management after our first stay, almost 3 weeks before our second but had not been fixed- little bit disappointed and frustrated. Apart from that we had a lovely weekend away with family at this property. Would love to return to this property again if these problems are rectified.
