Imagine waking up to a view of tropical palms and the beach beyond, a morning beach stroll across the road. After breakfast ... there are lots of walking trails, beaches and rocky outcrops to explore, then magnificent views to enjoy ... which do you choose? Perhaps a swim in the on-site pool, snorkel in a coral bay close by or sun bathe at one of a plethora of beaches? Later ... do you cook up a storm in your kitchen or dine at a restaurant that's within close walking distance? Choices ... choices!

With fantastic views over our tropical palms, Nelly Bay beach and out to Cleveland Bay, Island Palms Resort is the perfect place to holiday. Whether you are a family or couple, our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartments are well appointed with reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout.

The large open plan lounge-dining area boasts a balcony that allows you to slide back its large doors to bring the outside in, and the well-equipped kitchen has a large refrigerator, cook-top, microwave, dishwasher and other necessities required to prepare your meals. There is even a European laundry, should you need to do washing.

The master bedroom has a King bed with ensuite, while the second bedroom, also with an ensuite, offers you the choice of either a king bed or 2 x single beds depending on your preference – just advise us when confirming your reservation. Our apartment sleeps 4 guests comfortably and with the use of a single folding bed in the lounge (or a porta-cot in your bedroom), we can offer you further accommodation for a child (5 guests in total). Again, please advise us of this when confirming.

Our large outdoor swimming pool with inbuilt spa is heated in winter, and is surrounded with sun-loungers, umbrellas and tropical plants for summer shade. We offer guests half-court tennis, table tennis, sea kayaks, fishing rods and snorkeling gear to use, and have BBQs, as well as tables & chairs, set up near the pool so you can enjoy your evening meal outdoors if you want.

This apartment is in a 3-storey building, without lifts, so stairs must be negotiated to get to it. We are happy to help with your luggage if needed, however if you aren't able to climb stairs relatively easily, then perhaps our resort isn't the right place for your getaway. Please consider this prior to making a reservation, thank you.

We offer our guests free WiFi and have on-site parking. If you don't drive, the local bus meets all Sealink Ferries to Magnetic Island, and will drop you just outside our reception.

Our stay in Island Palms Resort was such a delight and an amazing experience! Everything about the resort is excellent, close proximity to supermarket, places to eat, the bus stop is right at your door step, etc. The resort is well maintained and clean and the rooms were spacious for 4 people in a 2 bedroom unit. We had a balcony overlooking the pool. We spend most of our afternoons in the pool after exploring the island during the day. The book in our room has lots of information about Magnetic Island and that was our bible! Linda and Dave were very helpful and answers all our questions. We wanted to do a twilight sip and sail as a last minute decision and Linda was able to assist us with booking the sail boat Pilgrim Sailing with a very short notice. We were very grateful because the sip and sail was one of the highlights in our holiday! Also, we found a very nice wine bar which is only a walking distance to the resort it is called the 'Smuggler's Wine Bar'. Aside from nice selection of wines, they serve tapas and our favorite was the chili garlic prawns for our mains, We will definitely be coming back to the resort and Magnetic Island.
