Your Summer Destination

Nestled right across the road from the Guilderton dog beach, this renovated beach shack will be sure to delight!

Combining modern conveniences with multiple outdoor zones, the Gee Spot has been tailored towards families and couples (fluffy included) wishing to enjoy the relaxed Guilderton lifestyle.

If you are seeking a party house, we encourage you to view other listings.

Why not wake up to a coffee or a wander to the Cafe, take a swim, explore the many activities in town and surrounding areas or "netflix and chill" on the comfy couch.. With complimentary fast internet (with netflix), indoor and outdoor games and plenty of space, we have everyone covered :)

We welcome short and long term guests to enjoy The Gee Spot.

The space
The Gee Spot has a number of zones.
An outdoor setting out front is perfect to enjoy a morning coffee before a swim.
The Kitchen, lounge and bedrooms are at street level with the bathroom, toilet, laundry and access to the back yard down a flight of sturdy stairs.
Please note the stair hand rail is on the lower side.

Fresh linen is provided to ensure a great nights sleep.

Enjoy the outdoor shower, bbq, second fridge and large under cover area providing protection from the sea breeze. Shed has a number of activities such as ping pong or fuseball or just chill out.

Outdoor hot and cold sink, perfect for an easy clean after a bbq or successful fishing adventure across the road.

Please note the property is not fenced.

Guest access
Parking is available at the front of the Gee Spot, driveway and in front of the rear double shed. Please do not park at the rear of the property as there are septic tanks.

Please note, access to cleaning storage room downstairs is not available and marked accordingly.

Other things to note:
Please note when viewing sleeping configuration, bedroom 3 is accessed via the bunk bed room as per photos.

With additional shire and government requirements now in force, guest numbers are monitored. Please advice if additional guests will be present prior to commencement of stay.

Winter Wood fire ** Winter use only due to fire restrictions**
Please watch your step as the surrounding around the fire is slightly raised.
Initial supply of fire wood will be provided for your winter break. Additional supplies can be purchased, please send us a note or available from the top shop.

Everything we needed for a classic beach holiday was available at the cottage. Plus the luxury extras of wifi, air con, smart TV with Netflix and the best TV couch around. The kitchen has all the mod xons, a short walk to the river/beach, and covered areas outside to hang out giving multiple living zones. Loved it!

Very welcoming host with little notes and treats on arrival for humans and canines alike. Conveniently located right next to the dog beach. Well stocked kitchen and linen and towels provided. Nice open kitchen, dining and lounge area. We had a great stay!

Had a great stay in this beautiful coastal home with everything you need for a family. Great location as you can walk to all of the places you would want to see. Beach is right at your door step. Our host Michael was very welcoming and left some Christmas biscuits and a bottle of white wine on arrival. He answered my messages very quickly. Recommend anyone to stay here!

Awesome place, really close to the beach, very well stocked with all the things you need. Beds are very comfortable, lots of board games and a very comfy couch. We will definitely be back!

A Beach Shack with the Max

This shack may look ordinary from the outside, but when you walk inside, it's a dream! Everything is taken care of, from the modern kitchen to the couch that practically fills the longeroom. No need to bring ANYTHING, except your clothes and some food.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the host was so approachable, quick to reply and made sure we enjoyed every moment of our time. Always remember the Gee Spot

The Gee Spot was positioned perfectly for us, and early morning walks with Allie to the dog beach transitioned to swimming and fishing walks as well! The house was well-provisioned with everything we needed to move straight in. Beautiful beach holiday home

The Gee spot is a delightful beach holiday home and we loved every moment. The owner was prompt, helpful and courteous, the house was clean and beautifully presented, our dog and kids had plenty of space and options to relax, and best of all, only a 5 minute walk to the closest dog beach. We were sad to leave and hope to be back again one day.

Summer holidays done right

We loved the Gee. A family of 5, we stayed for 8 days and loved how easy it was to switch into holiday mode with the beach being a stones throw away. Fishing for the kids in the Moore river was less than a 5 minute drive with all the gear, paddle boarding in the river, body surfing in the ocean all so easily accessible. We were offered unprompted an early check in which set the tone for our stay. A generous welcome assortment of treats was also a nice touch. The accommodation is exactly as stated, the play areas outside were well utilised by all. The missus and I could relax in the cool shade under the house while the kids played in the kick pools, table tennis and on the swing sets or just kicked the ball around. The property is set up so well it made our our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be looking to book again soon. Thanks again Micheal

Excellence in hospitality

The hosts are amazingly welcoming. Easy to talk to and left so many little goodies along with a note. Definitely recommended if you have active children!

Glorious!!

Such a relaxed space inside, glorious sitting areas outside and a shed full of toys like ping pong and totem tennis. Never a dull moment! Communication was exceptional, we had a storm during our stay and our hosts were regularly in touch making sure we were okay. Complimentary doggy treats and shortbread was provided - It felt like we made new friends. Will definitely return 👍

I’ll admit I was a little concerned seeing so many 5 star reviews that they were fake 😂 but it’s just actually that good! After the booking received a text with all the info I needed to know and the owner was really responsive and flexible- went out of their way to organise for us to check in an hr early which as a solo adult traveling with 2 little ones who needed to nap was really appreciated. The house was perfectly located and could walk everywhere. Lovely touches like a welcome card with some treats and wine in the fridge made this truly exceptional. I will definitely be back!

Oceanside getaway with all the comforts!

The property exceeded expectations! From the welcome pack to cleanliness of the entire house we were instantly comfortable. The property manager was available if needed and we were a stone throw away from the beach. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful onceanfront getaway with all the comforts of home. We will be back :)

GEE SPOT - JUST AWESOME

Gorgeous little holiday house/shack that had everything to ensure our break was perfect. Michael and Joel were exceptional hosts. They kept in touch to see if all was ok, let us know of local activities that were happening in the community and even delivered fresh figs off their tree for us. Delicious!! It is pet friendly so we were able to take our pup and its perfectly located across the road from the dog beach. There is everything there that you could want, games, bbq, alfresco area. Charming inside and out and in pristine condition. Will definitely be booking to visit again. Highly, highly recommend!!

Gee Spot Guilderton

We stayed at the Gee Spot in Summer 2023 and it was fab! The owner Michael was regularly in contact to make sure we had everything we needed and the check in process was baby's bum smooth. There is an alfresco area downstairs with a beer fridge and the cleanest bbq I've ever seen and an outdoor games room complete with radio, couches and other places to gather around to cheer the table tennis. The house itself was clean, neat and tidy and came with a huge amount of included activities including a table tennis table, boccie, tennis racquets, totem tennis, kids play ground, golf putter for mini golf and various others balls to play with. It's located directly across the road from the dog beach and just a shorty walk along the beach (or 2 minute drive) from the Moore river estuary and river mouth which was perfect for us with the fur babies. The downstairs alfresco gave them shade for when we went out 4wding (there are several soft sand tracks nearby plus beach access for taking the car offroad). All in all we had a blast with our teenagers and dogs, I'd highly recommend the Gee Spot to anyone looking for a cruisy week away in a place that caters for just about everything! Would definately stay again!

Excellent getaway home

A perfectly located vacation home right on the edge of the beach. Perfectly furnished, with both the back and front yard being a perfect place to spend the evening or day. Was in prime spot for sunset. The owners were great at communication and were super friendly. Myself and group of friends had such a lovely time and plan to stay again!

After rescuing a water dog, we decided that being closer to the beach was essential to give him the best life after being in the pound system.

We fell over Guilderton, a sleepy beach town which feels like you have stepped back in time.

The shack needed a lot of love and attention to bring it back to it's former glory.. From ripping up carpets, fresh coats of paint, new kitchen and rewiring.
As fences are not common in town, we have continued with this theme.

"The Gee Spot" name was gifted to us from our neighbours up the road on Gee Street. It has been the instigator of many enjoyable conversations over the years with our guests..

Even on a busy long weekend.. Crowds may form at the river mouth however you are more than likely able to enjoy the beach across the road with minimal people..
Guilderton is great all year round!
In summer, enjoy the beach in the morning then, when (if) the wind kicks up, it's off to the Moore River for a dip.

Local tip - The walkway to the beach on the left of The Gee Spot is affectionately nicknamed "cardiac hill" by the locals for a good reason :) The less hilly track is to the right ;)

Guilderton accommodation offerings have seen a few changes in recent years. Whilst there are a number of shacks where you need to bring your own linen etc.. This is becoming less common.
