Very clean, up to date, spacious accommodations. The upstairs loft and extra half bath was a plus for our grown college grandsons. It gave them the space and privacy they needed. It is a short walk to the beach and shopping.

This is a nice pet-friendly home. Check in/out was convenient, the house was clean, there were plenty of kitchen supplies, and the beach was a very short walk. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. If I were to make any suggestions (though it really isn’t a deal breaker), it would be to have a grassy area of my dogs to potty. However, both my pups were fine with the area they had once they got used to it. I truly have no complaints about this home… it was lovely.

Excellent beach trip!

We loved our stay at Knee Deep. The property is just as described and was very clean and convenient. The house had everything we needed. We did bring extra detergent/paper towel/trash bags, but the kitchen was stocked and there were beach chairs and toys for the kids. The hose/shower at the bottom of the stairs was nice with plenty of room for parking and leaving beach gear. We loved the convenience of short walks to the beach, ice cream, and morning coffee. We used a beach service, but the beach was open enough we could have easily set up chairs ourselves. Crab hunting and sunsets at night were a highlight! We’ll be back!

Couldn't have asked for a better location and the house was amazing. The house had everything that we could want to just relax, cook, and go to the beach.

Exceeded Expectations!

Very clean, spacious, comfortable. Was so pleasantly surprised by chairs and boards that were available for our use. LARGE load capacity washer for laundry. Easy to use appliances, short walk to Trading Post for odds and ends. My kids rented bikes and rode all over the cape. Two minute walk to a very quiet beach. Loved it.

Knee Deep is a great place to stay!

Knee Deep was very clean, is at a great location, and is spacious! The only two things I would change is the washer and dryer are downstairs and outside and the loft has no door making it impossible for the people upstairs to sleep in once everyone downstairs is awake. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful house, very roomy, and beach access is close!

Dog lovers perfect getaway!

Knee Deep is perfectly situated so you can walk out of your door and be on the beach in minutes. You don't even have to bring a chair you are that close. We enjoyed morning walks with the pups on the beach. The general store is a short walk, maybe a block away. So is the seafood market and shops. The condo has everything you can think of needing. Comfortable and immaculately clean. There is a shower and water hose downstairs to clean wash yourself or your pups off before you head upstairs. The deck out front get sun all day and I spent hours laying out, reading and enjoying the breeze. You will not be disappointed. Just book it!

Simply Amazing!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Knee Deep is well stocked, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed for an amazing stay on the Cape! The house was comfortable for our family of five plus two dogs. It is a quick walk to the beach and near the state parks that were less crowded than the beach at the end of Aruba Dr. Most of the beach front homes set up camp early so we usually had to walk a bit but it wasn’t a bad walk. We loved having our dogs on the beach (even though many dog owners just let theirs run off leash). The house really had everything we needed to cook for a week and we were reallyImpressed by the thoughtfulness of the owners with everything they had in the kitchen. Even Tupperware and foil! Our ONE suggestion for a better stay would be to spray for roaches more regularly. We reached out to the management company on Sunday and someone was supposed to come Monday but by Thursday, we were still coexisting with the roaches and decided to tough it out until checkout on Saturday. Other than that, a perfect stay close to one of the most beautiful beaches!

Very close and easy walk to the beach. Loved the layout of the home and all the spaces were very comfortable. The loft area was great for the kids to hang out. Had everything we needed and was very clean upon arrival! We have rented with Coastal Joe multiple times now and it has always been a great experience, I always look to see what they have available before looking anywhere else. I was concerned beforehand about previous reviews that there wasn’t much beach but thankfully we didn’t have any issues during our stay. The beach and water and everything was perfect! Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!

Great House!!

We loved the house! There were four of us, but we easily could have added 2-3 more people. The master bed is so comfortable! Everyone loved their spaces! We enjoyed the free double kayak. The house is a short barefoot walk to the beach. We used the grill and laundry downstairs. It all made the stay wonderful! I spent the mornings on the deck taking in the sunshine and quiet. We hiked at the state park, kayaked, swam in the ocean, rode our bikes 11 miles down and back on the awesome paved trail straight from the house! We had a puzzle going on the dining table at all times! This was one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve had! I’d recommend bringing your pickle ball gear, bring or rent bikes, kayak on the bay side (though we kayaked with the dolphins oceanside as well), bring binoculars for bird watching (eagles and more!), and come prepared to relax! Kitchen is well stocked! Stop at the Piggly Wiggly in St. Joe or Apalachicola! Relax and enjoy!

Exactly what we needed

Close to the beach, clean, large, comfortable, accommodating and best of all it was dog friendly which made it even more special. We can’t thank the owner enough for allowing us to bring our furdaughter with us. The bed was so nice that I just purchased the same one here in TN. This home is big enough for a large family with enough space left over. The only thing missing that we could have used was a baby gate to keep our dog from going off the porch but we made a makeshift gate with the beach chairs that were provided so it worked out fine. Lots of beach toys and items to use in the laundry room. Loved then huge washer and dryer and hot outside shower. The pull under garage was really nice and could fit 2 large cars under it with room left over. I don’t have any complaints at all about this stay. Well done !

Adorable and roomy beach house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Knee Deep was as described per the VRBO/Coastal Joe's website. In fact, it was actually larger and nicer than it appears in the pictures. The beach décor is very pretty and unique, to include the beautiful comforter and pillows in the master bedroom and the beach style shower curtains. The entire atmosphere; from cleanliness to décor and top line appliances indicate pride in ownership. There is an abundance of very nice plastic containers (for left overs)in assorted sizes, as well as plenty of skillets and pots and pans. They also have a nice size crock-pot, toaster, blender and coffee pot. I would make 3 suggestions - either to the owner or potential rentals: (1) I did not find any baking pans (8x8 or 9x13) when wanting to bake brownies or a casserole (2) The cooking utensils are not very substantial. In particular, the whisk and the spatula. It appears they were bought at the Dollar Tree so they are lacking in desired function. This is an observation and NOT a complaint. I realize, from past experience, that many renters do not respect other property and damage results from inappropriate use. (3) There are no paper towels (to start you out) or small supply of dishwasher soap so be sure to bring the cleaning items you like to use throughout the week. There is a small bottle of liquid dishwashing soap and cleaner for the stove top. We greatly appreciated the use of the beach chairs and my grandkids loved the use of the boogie boards. We also appreciated the use of the outdoor warm shower to clean off and shower the kids before entering the house. While we would have preferred a gulf front home, this house does have a beautiful view of the water from the master bedroom. Plus, it's a nice, short walk and something that was good for all of us each day. The owner also provide games (closet) and DVD's. We found the beds and bedding to be very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep.

Wonderful Vacation

The kitchen is well stocked and I had everything I needed. The walk to the beach takes 2 minutes. I didn't drive the entire week of my stay. Everything you need is within walking distance. 5 minute walk to the store and the prices aren't outrageous. Everyone was nice and made me feel at home. Things close early so keep that in mind. Cape San Blas is a wonderful place to recharge and relax. I would highly recommend the house and location to anyone craving an unforgettable vacation.

Gotta' come back!

Reviewer Comments: Ours was an extended length stay, enjoyable, and we are already booked to return to Knee Deep again.The description of the house and included amenities was accurate. We appreciated the kitchen appliances, dishes, pots, pans and spices in the cupboards. All important when you're staying long enough to be cooking.Deck furniture is better than on some other nearby properties. It was nice to be able to enjoy sitting on the deck after being on the beach all day.There were plenty of nice beach chairs, boogie boards and toys for the kids.The property is pet-friendly which is one reason we wanted to be there. Even though our dog picked up the scent of other dogs, it was still a very clean property.Location is very good, although the street is definitely not smooth. Its a very short walk to the beach and being close to the Trading Post, St. Joe Shrimp, Scallop Cove and other local businesses is very handy. Trading Post serves up a pretty good breakfast sandwich and pizzas. There's always a long early morning line to get really, really good donuts from Weber's. Sunsets on “the Cape” are absolutely fantastic. Several visits to the State Parks are highly recommended. Request a “Wilderness Pass” to go exploring further up the peninsula. Coastal Joe staff was very responsive to our questions and requests for assistance.

Great time at Cape San Blas

We really liked the layout of the house, and we were able to have 2 adults and 5 teenagers live very comfortably. The only complaint I have is that the outdoor grill was terrible. Families like to cook out on vacation, and grills that are old and completely rusted out make this difficult. A very small investment would make a big difference.
