About the home
“Seas the day” is a delightful double-storey family home in Kilcunda just a short walk from the beach and Kilcunda general store & pub. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is the large double Garage which has been converted into a Games Room (with pool table and table tennis table) a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) and a separate Toilet accessible from the covered deck. Upstairs is the fantastic open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living room (with TV ) which provides access out to the first floor Balcony. Also upstairs is Bedroom 1 (with TV & WIR) featuring an ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedroom 2 (with BIR), Bedroom 3 (with BIR), a Bathroom (with bath & shower) plus another separate Toilet.
Outdoor Areas
The upstairs Balcony (with BBQ & seating for 8) provides stunning views over the dunes and town of Kilcunda to the ocean and is accessible from Bedrooms 1 or 2 and the Living room. The downstairs covered Deck (with seating for 2) has its own impressive views and there is an insdie Toilet accessible from this Deck. Although there is no parking the garage (which has been converted into a games room), there is plenty of space to park 6+ vehicles (cars and/or boats) on the premises.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are three wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners in the home; one in the upstairs Kitchen/Dining/Living room and one in each of Bedrooms 1 and 3. There is also one stand-alone heater and pedastal fan stored in Bedroom 3 and able to be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 5 beds, plus 1 foldup bed, accommodating up to 9 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed and one foldup Single bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Tri-bunk and one Single bed
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
