The stay was fine! Building needs maintenance !Front door was working on & off ! No privacy on part of Verandah outside furniture needs replacing for the amount charged per nite. But overall was fine for a short stay position is fabulous!

Beach view was stunning and just what we wanted. However unit was not as advertised - luxurious it was not. Dishwasher full of dishes clean but not put away. Woken on first morning by jack hammer on wall behind bed in next door unit. Although promised no thurs Fri or sat and Sunday work would be happening only sat and sun free of noise. We should have been informed by owner that this was going to be happening and offered different dates. Only one towel each for two weeks, no bath mats or face washers. They were provided after speaking with owner. Washing in washing machine. Rubbish in bottom of bed one wardrobe. Two clothes airers on deck round corner - one rusted and one half broken. The broken one collapsed in heap sometime in second week. Owner rang and said bank wanted to have someone come through to do an evaluation with owners son. Was not happening!! Most concerning for us as mothers and grandmothers was on the deck there was a high bar table with a high stool at each end pushed right up against the balustrade. Had a little child climbed up onto stool and climbed onto bar he would have been over the handrail in minutes. We were on 12th floor!! Outdoor furniture not able to be used because cushions were really dirty covered in dust from the work being done all around us. Position of units was great and close to local shops, beach parks, surf clubs and yacht club. Maybe owners new or not used to presenting properties in “luxury condition” but would not book again.

Unfortunately, your stay coincided with essential external works on the building, including repainting and concrete cancer removal. These works are scheduled by the building management and are entirely weather-dependent, meaning as owners we had no advance knowledge of when or where they would take place.
To clarify:
We refunded you $1,000 as a goodwill gesture, despite the circumstances being outside of our control.
The “rubbish” you refer to at the bottom of the wardrobe was in fact a single clothing tag.
The comment about the outdoor table and children’s safety is misplaced — as a father of four myself, I take full responsibility for how my children behave and where they play, and I encourage the same of all guests.
The interior of the apartment is exactly as shown in the photos, following a $250,000 refurbishment, and matches the listing description in every respect.
We also note that across other platforms the apartment consistently receives 10/10 or 5/5 reviews, with guests praising the quality, accuracy of the listing, and our hosting.
While it is regrettable that external building works affected your stay, those works were temporary and beyond our control. We believe your comments — and especially your rating — do not fairly reflect the apartment itself or the standard of hospitality we provide.
