Escape to an architectural marvel just steps from the towering rock formations of Indian Cove — a secluded and famously scenic camping and hiking area located inside Joshua Tree National Park. The sleek lines and smooth concrete facade of this western-modernist gem reflect the minimalist beauty of the desert landscape, striking a serene and unexpected harmony. Inside you'll find tasteful décor that blends mid-century furnishings with Western flair, pairing earthy materials and textures with contemporary accents. The spacious two-story layout and exquisite floating staircase evoke the open, airy surroundings, while the sliding glass doors, large picture windows, and wraparound balcony bring the outside in and provide views in all directions. Perfect for groups, the space features three king bedrooms, two pull-out couches, two living rooms, indoor and outdoor dining, two workstation desks, a wet bar, a game room, a fire pit, and an oversized resort-style pool with hot tub.
The Indian Cove campsite features 101 reservable campsites, including thirteen group campsites. Inquiries can be made online or at the small ranger station walking distance from the property.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
- CHECK-IN PROCESS - Checking in at your FIELDTRIP home is now easier than ever. FIELDTRIP's guidebook contains everything you need to know. From reservation details, property information, check-in instructions, local recommendations and add-on services to enhance your stay, you'll find it all here.
- PARKING - The number of approved spaces for your rental can be found on the information posted inside the unit and the guidebook sent prior to check-in. Renters and their daytime guests should park in the garage or driveway. There is NO on-street parking available. To avoid ticketing or towing, please ensure all cars are not extending into or blocking the sidewalk.
- PETS - Pets are permitted with the receipt of a pet fee. The fee is $150 per pet, up to 3 pets. Please inquire about Service Animals and next steps to waive the fees.
- POOL HEATING - The pool can be heated for an additional fee of $250 per night. For best results, pool heat requests should be made 48 hours in advance. This is a non-refundable fee, should the pool not reach full temperature due to adverse weather conditions, user error, or improper use.
- EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT - Stay a little longer and add up to 2 hours before or after your arrival for $75/hour. Half days (11am arrival or 4pm departure) are also available for 50% of the nightly rate for the night needing to be blocked to accommodate.
- DELIVERIES - We are unable to accept packages at the homes. Please plan accordingly and utilize holding packages at the local post office or nearby Amazon Lockers.
- EVENTS / RETREATS - APPROVAL REQUIRED PRIOR TO BOOKING. Small events within our permitting requirements are considered. Please note that all events require formal, written approval from the County of San Bernardino. Additionally, an event fee starting at $1,000 will apply, with the final cost determined by the specific scope and coverage of the occasion.
- PHOTO/VIDEO & COMMERCIAL USE - APPROVAL REQUIRED PRIOR TO BOOKING. Guests are welcome and encouraged to take photos for personal use (and feel free to tag us @stayfieldtrip). Drones are not permitted due to county restrictions. While we welcome professional media projects, all commercial, professional, promotional, or revenue-generating photography and videography are subject to production fees. Additionally, any filming on the property is permitted only upon receiving formal approval from the County of San Bernardino. For these activities, we require payment in advance along with a signed production agreement, production insurance, and a location release. IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT IF YOUR SHOOT IS COMMERCIAL, PLEASE INQUIRE FIRST. Any guests found to be doing a commercial shoot will have their reservation canceled. Any commercial shoots discovered during or after a stay will be responsible for the production fee.

Sundance Cove is conveniently located on the border of 29 Palms and Joshua Tree - both with drive-in National Park entrances. The home provides access to hiking / camping and is equidistant to the shopping and dining attractions of downtown Joshua Tree and downtown 29 Palms. 2 minutes to Indian Cove Campground. 10 minutes to downtown Joshua Tree. 15 minutes to the Joshua Tree National Park Entrance. 10 minutes to downtown 29 Palms. 15 minutes to the 29 Palms National Park entrance. 25 minutes to Pioneertown and Yucca Valley. 1 hour to Palm Springs.
