This cabin was not a good experience for our family, the cabin was not clean before our arrival. I think at some point it was but there were bugs on the floor, on top of beds, table, couch, just everywhere, toilet stains, the oven look dirty, sofa were dirt stains. The house has a SEVERE Asian lady bug infestation, the were dead and alive ones everywhere and they would land on you and food, you couldn’t sit or lay anywhere without bugs. Sending a one time fumigation personal would not help that problem, it needs multiple treatment. I’ve stayed in many cabins during the same time a year and while it is true there are lady bug seasons where you find a few lady bug by the window, this was different, it was out of control and unbearable. In addition, the house needs replacement of lot of items, like blankets, towels, curtains, frames. Everything is very old and it would help it if items were nicer. The theater is for dvd player alone with one dvd and the kitchen items were old and disorganized. I hate giving bad reviews, as a matter of fact is my very first bad review in my many years of using Vrbo but this ruined our vacation, we had to leave to a different cabin that didn’t have infestation problem. It was stressful to find a last minute cabin and move again with 17 people but thankfully Vrbo helps us out. Please put some love into the cabin, it feels abandoned in all aspects. Sorry!

This could be a 5 star property if properly maintianed. 7 night stay. Several short cummings.. Several lights out in the house. Outages was reported to maintenance contact "James". No one responded out to replace bulbs. Pool area is dark not safe with lighting. Overhead pool lights are very dim. Underwater pool light was nonfunctining. Liner is falling down from top support rails. Smoke detector missing battery. Poorly cleaned living areas. Socks ,dead bugs. Cigarett butts found behind dressers. Basboards dirty, deer head on wall not dusted. Intiaky inspetion of cookware, 1/3 of items cored with greasse, not clean. Silly string and other colored debris on ground outside. Hot tub half jets non functioning. Roof leaks when heavy down pour in one bedroom and down rock decorated greatroom tv wall. Blood stained pillows found. Pictures of everything wad taking and sent maintenence contact.IF These issues where not there it would be a fabulous stay. For the price charged, the cleaning personnel need to be replaced with companent company to do the propper cleaning for this property. Besides this, we made the best of everything at hand. If i would get a guarantee that these issues would never happen again at this property i would rebook. But beware cleanliness and upkeep is an issue right now. Beautiful views from front deck!

Expected more for the cost

I’d say overall I’d give 3.5 stars…the hot tub didn’t work and I let them know which they were very quick to respond but I never had the maintenance contact me or come out to address it. It was a nice space for the 15 of us and the kids def enjoyed the pool so I’m glad we had that however there isn’t a lot of outside seating- bring chairs if you come with a big group. I know there’s tons of woods around but the cobwebs on the patio and sawdust shavings clearly have not been addressed. There were a lot of bee nests as well however only one looked active. No one was stung. I was just surprised about how the exterior was maintained. As far as cleanliness, floors were clean and toilets but the couches and bedding is old and soiled, and unfortunately all of them. Minor things like shower curtain hooks being broken or toilet paper holders broken, even light bulbs being out. We made the most and it def could have been worse but the cost for our stay I expected better conditions.

Pictures are exactly accurate. Had an awesome time there. Pool and movie room was a huge hit amongst the kids!!! Communication throughout booking and stay were excellent. We had a family gathering there and it was perfect setup for us. Parking is tight if multiple cars but creative manuevering you can make it work. Most beds are on the firm side. But plenty of beds!! The only complaint and its minor was wish there was more mixing bowls in kitchen, maybe some cutting knifes and never found a pot holder. But there was plenty of tablewear and utensils. Again these were only small issues. Glad we had our family gathering at this location!!!

Family cabin stay

Overall, we had a great time everything was described as it was online We did have a problem with one of the barbecue grills falling apart onto the ground while we were cooking they did come out and replace it with another grill, but did not replace our lost food Other than that maintenance came out and did whatever needed to be done in a timely fashion The check-in process was great my family had a great time and will come back again

An awesome family getaway

We had two families with young kids enjoy this property in August 2023. The pool was a big reason why we booked the property and it did not disappoint. The game room and theater room also got a lot of use. We did have to buy our own ROKU player to get the theater room to work properly , so be aware of that. We also cooked most of our meals at the house and there is not much cookware. Bring foil pans and other kitchen accessories if you plan to cook on-site. The house is spacious and has plenty of towels and laundry onsite. The WIFi was very handy and the scenery is incredible. Our families enjoyed fishing and creek stomping in the small waterway at the front of the property. Bring your own firewood if you plan to use the fire pit as it is hard to find anything around the woodsy areas. We roasted s’mores one night and did tie dye on the gravel patio. Our youNg boys loved catching lizards and loved seeing other creatures like butterflies, moths, frogs and more. The house does have a bit of a bug problem, but it is totally manageable and you expect it when you are staying in remote areas. We never did see bears, so that was slightly disappointing hearing how prevalent they are in the area. We went into Pigeon Forge one day and it was about a 35 min ride via interstates and about 40-45 min home on back mountain roads.

Great place

Great for families. We went for my 60th birthday and I couldn't have asked for more. My grandchildren loved the indoor pool especially. Driveway was a little hard to manage since we had four cars but we made it work. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a crowd.

Great Location

Absolutely beautiful cabin, just very disappointed with all the bugs we had to clean up. The one back bedroom needs some attention no one could stay in it because of all the bugs coming in thur the windows. No Screens on any of the windows so bugs where coming thur the cracks! Pool sticks need new tips, and air hockey don’t work…James the maintenance guy was phenomenal.

Hot tub didn't work. Pool had lining drooping down and was not clean. TV in my room didn't work. House is beautiful, but needs alot of work and could use a good cleaning. Roof leaked in 2 spots. They did refund us 1 night, as compensation.

Private, quiet and large home. All 5 bedrooms each had a private bathroom!! Pool, game and theater room were great for the kids. Had an issue with the projector when we got there but support answered us right away. Would visit again.

Mountain views, private location, good for groups

About 30 minutes from Gatlinburg, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Check in process was easy. Home had a lot of amenities provided that you usually run out of, but there were plenty for us for whole week. Nice fire pit and grill area we used every night. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes but cookware was slightly lacking. Everything was clean, but there were a ton of dead bugs everywhere, thankfully there was a vacuum provided. Pool seemed updated, but seemed to need more chemicals and no maintenance was done on the pool while we were there. (I am use to scheduled maintenance from previous stays elsewhere) Hot tub worked well and kept heat but also needed chemicals and fresh water. Theater room didnt work and when we called they said there was a chip that needed to be replaced but it takes 6 weeks to get. Overall we had a great trip. We loved the location and size.

Amazing!

Great place for a getaway! We loved the location it was far enough from Gatlinburg to enjoy scenery but close enough to drive into Gatlinburg and enjoy the day out there. Beautiful cabin very spacious and accommodating. Had everything we needed to enjoy a snowed in weekend. Love the lil river that flows through makes front porch sitting so peaceful! Definitely would recommend staying here!

Just OK

The location and views from this cabin are amazing. But it’s all downhill from there. The pool heating elements were not working, and after a call in which we were promised they would be replaced so we could use the pool, it was never done. The hot tub malfunctioned and had to be reset by maintenance. The cabin was very unclean. We had to vacuum, mop and sweep just to make it presentable. One set of sheets had dried snot on them when the covers were rolled back. Dead bugs everywhere. The roof leaked both days that it rained. Gated entrance was nice, but there was construction going on on another part of the property and the construction crew left the gate open and allows our dogs to escape. Lots of small things wrong but could be corrected. Would consider staying again, but only if everything is working.

What you see is sadly NOT what you get

We booked this property for a Christmas getaway with family and friends back in May. Prior to us going I noticed a couple reviews that were concerning and reached out to the property manager. My concerns were addressed and I was assured everything would be taken care of prior to our arrival. Well, it wasn’t. We really wanted to absolutely love this place. It has a ton of potential and for what we paid for our 1 week nearly everything could have been made perfect. So the list of issues: The pool is listed as heated. Heated to us and to normal people means 80 at least. I checked the temp multiple times and it barely was 71. Incidentally this was another persons complaint that I asked about and was told a new heater was installed. Lie. The hot tub was way out dated and cold and dirty when we arrived. I did crank the heat up and it was usable the next day but still dirty. I would have cleaned had I had a vacuum. The cover is tattered and tub just looks very dated. Pool table was disappointing. Not level, felt shot, bumpers completely shot in one end, balls fell thru pockets constantly, cues terrible, no chalk, (I bought some at Walmart and left it behind). Listen I’m not a great pool player and neither are the teens and adults that came with us but it almost wasn’t even worth playing. That’s how bad it is. Air hockey was functional but just needed new pucks easy fix but Walmart did not have those so we just didn’t play. Cleanliness. The bathrooms and kitchen had obviously been cleaned and were pretty good. However, nearly every other horizontal surface had enough dust to write you name in it. Window sills were covered with dead bugs and dust. Lady Bugs were everywhere. Doesn’t bother me but my daughters freaked out every morning when they were in their bedroom all over the place. Also, sounds silly, but lightbulbs didn’t match in ceiling fixtures and in lights that you use a lot. Just gives the impression they don’t care about us or the property. Most of this stuff could easily be repaired or corrected and then this place would be fantastic. The area is nice and from the outside it looks great. Just really fell short on the amenities that were advertised and what we feel we paid for but didn’t get. I can’t recommend this property unless the above items were addressed and if you are renting soon I would want proof these items were addressed prior to booking.

Pricey, Outdated, Not well-maintained or Clean, Not Impressed

It was ok but not close to as expected or described for the cost paid. It is far outside from any activity and winding roads to get anywhere. The day we arrived and closed the door the keyless entry cover fell off, batteries appeared corroded. The alarm system was not well explained and the so-called cleaning people were still there when we arrived with a dog in the house. The shelves in the fridge were missing or support broken/taped. There was little privacy, all during the stay there was construction crews in and on the property, there was a small shack that always had a vehicle there, and a guy wandering around at various times throughout the day and week cutting various trees, he too has a black dog on the property. The limbs cut all along the driveway were not swept up or out of the way and quite frankly creeped my children out. The cleanliness overall was poor, especially for the money they charge. I’m certain it was cleaner when we left, I cleaned anything we intended to use before using it. Dust all over furniture, floors and rugs dirty, dead bugs in master bedroom ceiling fan light fixture, theater room had trash under seats and a funky smell, tubs not cleaned well, several dirty dishes, latches on windows and doors not secure and hose through the pool window, very unsecured and unsettling every night, someone could easily break in. Dingy feel and look, not well lit in some rooms. The cookware was not matched with lids, all random and not full functional for a place to feed 24 people. With the open foyer and game room all noises echoed and with pool on main floor too you could hear it all. No quite unless you were well outside or sleeping. Pool area wasn’t well maintained and hot tub is outdated, mold, nothing worked for lights or jets and always ran, cover was old. Furniture was very worn, holes in seats didn’t look like the couch had ever been cleaned, could see where others had large dogs, scratches all over doors , furniture and chewed up furniture corners. I placed my own blankets on the furniture to sit. The driveway was very steep and the concrete at the bottom is like a ramp, no gradual slope. Parking is poor and steep as well with virtually no room to turn around.

Best cabin ever

Didn’t have to risk getting Covid by being in public in this fantastic cabin and we needed a vacation great cabin plenty of room for all of us to be together or have private time enjoyed pool game room and fire pit and we will be back highly recommend couldn’t ask for better people to rent from

When we sent a concern by email to Aunt Bugs, James was quick to fix all. I also called James directly and he made immediate arrangements to fix the equipment in the theater room. House was wonderful. We had a great time. Would recommend this to friends and family.

Needs a new management company to treat guests

We booked this property way in advanced and before we arrived, the property manager was very cordial and responsive. That was the end of it. We drove almost 10 hours and arrived in the area a littler bit early. We could not get in because it was before our check in time which was okay so we ended up grocery shopping for food. The first problem was the check in process, we did not get in the property until an hour after our scheduled time. They had scheduled a photography session which ran past our check in time and every time we called to get access to the property after the photographer left, they would always say that we emailed you the gate code. We waited and waited and waited some more and no email came. We had to argue over the phone and they kept lying that it was already emailed. Finally after almost an hour of back an forth, they finally gave us the code to get in. To this day, that email they promised was sent, never arrived in our inbox, spam, junk mail, etc. Afterwards: 1. Bathtub upstairs was clogged. 2. Sink upstairs was clogged. 3. Had to rewash the dishes, utensils, glasses since it looks like it was never washed. 4. Charcoal grill was not cleaned, we cleaned it with what was provided, old, useless brushes. Charcoal bin disposal was filled with ash and a ton of empty cigarette boxes. 5. Finally, the heated pool is not heated. It's ice cold. Then we were finally informed that the pool gas heater was broken and due to Covid, they could not get parts so they switched to an electric heater. The electric heater was not big enough to heat up the entire pool. The pool was a major decision point for us and we did not even get to use it. We tried sucking it up but it was really really really cold. Overall, the Cabin is showing its age and needs some maintenance. We really did not appreciate how the management company kept telling us that you're good to go, we emailed you the code over and over and over again and nothing was happening. We arrived early and if don;t have access we were fine, but as soon as our check-in time is up, it is reasonable to have access and not be told "Well. check in is 4pm or after" so you had the nerve to tell me that we already waited for your photographer to leave past 4 and then also tell me that you don't get to have access since you can give us access anytime you want to? Very rude and unprofessional.
