Bienvenido a Hale Hamakua!

Esta bellamente decorada casa de 4 habitaciones y 2 baños se ubica en una parcela de un acre privado a lo largo de la costa de Hamakua, al norte de Hilo, donde no hay nada que bloquee sus vistas del poderoso Pacífico. Las grandes ventanas abiertas llenan el hogar de luz, belleza y magníficas vistas. Venga durante los meses de invierno y tendrá un asiento de primera fila para toda la actividad de la ballena que posiblemente pueda tomar.

La cocina es grande y fácil de trabajar y, por supuesto, cuenta con todas las comodidades que necesitará para preparar esas deliciosas comidas isleñas. El dormitorio principal con su baño privado, cama king size, lanai privado con vista al mar y centro de entretenimiento con TV y DVD es el lugar perfecto para escapar después de un largo día de turismo.

Para los otros miembros de su familia e hijos, hay una sala de televisión, también con otro televisor de pantalla plana y un reproductor de DVD. Hay otros 3 dormitorios con una reina, una cama matrimonial y una individual, y 2 sofás cama individuales en la sala de estar. ¡Cada uno tiene su propio espacio!

Desde esta conveniente ubicación, explore la antigua ciudad de Hilo con su gran mercado de granjeros y museos históricos y debe ver las paradas. The house was perfect for our family of 7. The views are amazing and the property well kept. It's about a 30 minute drive north of downtown Hilo. So quiet and peaceful. The keys were in a lockbox and we had no trouble checking in or checking out. We did not need to contact the host during our stay but did get messages with directions before arrival and reminders prior to checkout. We really enjoyed the local feel of the property and look forward to coming back!

The location and the view were very relaxing. Loved waking up and enjoying slow mornings with a cup of coffee on the deck. The roosters were a little annoying, but we got used to it. The house was in really good condition. The sliding screens and doors could use a little TLC. So sorry the coqui frogs are now as far north as your location. I would eventually like to see a more bike friendly road system on the east coast highway. There are many narrow spots and some not so friendly drivers on the east coast compared to west coast.

Hilo side tropical paradise

This house was excellent for the 2 of us , our 2 grandsons and our Mother-in-law.Gorgeous view from the covered lanai, multiple whale sitings and easy access to Hilo, Volcano and lots of fun hikes.Well appointed kitchen , good AC and pretty decent WiFi a godsend since there was 0 cell reception!Our concierge was extremely responsive and helpful and we even enjoyed the roosters!

Gorgeous view

Quiet, peaceful, with plenty of space for everyone and an incredible view of the ocean enjoyed every morning and evening on the deck. It was a perfect location for exploring the Hilo side of the island, something I think too many people overlook. The only down sides were the AC—located only in the bedrooms, the wall units were old and noisy. The place is a little older—careful on the deck—the wood on the railing is rotting and detached in one place. Cleanliness was a little iffy. Overall though, none of these issues kept us from enjoying our stay. Really, sitting on the deck overlooking the water and the beautiful yard was one of the best parts of my trip.

Beautiful Views, Peaceful and Private Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views alone make this house worth it. It was very private and quiet, a great place to relax. The house was spacious and comfortable. The backyard was gorgeous and very well maintained. We enjoyed the AC in 3 of the 4 bedrooms. We really appreciated that it was stocked with things like beach chairs, a beach umbrella, towels, snorkel gear etc. Management was great and made it easy to find the house. On the downside, the Wi-fi was pretty weak, and we didn't have any cell service, so be prepared to disconnect a bit during your stay. The towels smelled very musty, so we had to re-wash them, which helped a little, but still didn't totally get rid of the smell. One of the railings on the porch was a bit loose, so you needed to be careful not to lean on it. Otherwise, it was a great stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

Big Island Celebration

The property was plenty big for our party of eight. There were spots for all of us to have time to ourselves after a day of sightseeing or spending time at the beach. Though it is far from the Kona sights, we didn't mind. There is plenty to see and do in Hilo. Volcanoes National Park is only about an hour away as is Hapuna Beach for snorkeling. The zoo in Hilo is well-kept, beautiful, and free! We had a wonderful time celebrating college graduations on this beautiful property.

We found it to be a good home base for seeing all that the Big Island has to offer. The property’s outdoor spaces are absolutely wonderful! We loved watching birds, whales, and chickens while our young boys ran around the back yard. We like to cook and the kitchen had just enough to enable us to make whatever we wanted. Everything was clean and functional, and the supply of beach chairs, snorkels, flippers, boogie board, and cooler were much appreciated for our family trips to the beach. We would stay again for sure.

Big Island Adventure

A very spacious house that accommodated 9 of us. We chose this location for a family gathering because we live on opposite sides of the world; coming from the Midwest in the U.S. to Japan. Peaceful view on a bluff with a nice outdoor deck. Quiet setting. Lots of outdoor beauty to explore. Volcanos, waterfalls, incredible ocean shores and even an area with hot pools. About 20 minutes to Hilo.

Private and Comfortable

We enjoyed our stay at Hale Hamakua. The view and grounds were beautiful. We loved the birds and geckos. We had two couples and the two beds we used were comfortable, and we appreciated the beach towels, chairs, and ice chest (although we could have used a smaller one...). The labeled light switches were a nice touch. The kitchen had everything we needed as far as cookware and dinnerware although it would have been nice to have a few spices available. The main road was close, but the road noise was minimal. We would stay here again!

A delightful stay on the Eastern coast of Hawai'i

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 6--4 adults and 2 teenagers--enjoyed staying at this house in early July 2023. Our stay was delightful. The house was clean, well equipped, and ideal for our needs. It was so nice being able to look out at any time of day and seeing the ocean and beautiful clouds in a deep blue sky. It was fun watching geckos on the outside of the house. We used the television only once, to watch videos we had captured while snorkeling with green sea turtles. There is very limited access to groceries nearby, but Hilo was close enough that we could pick up anything we needed, usually while traveling to our many destinations on the island. It was nice having access to a washer and dryer. The kitchen contained all the tools we needed to prepare our meals, so we ate very well (probably too well). When I asked how everyone like the house, they all said it was ideal and they would like to return someday. I fully agree.

Lovely solitude

The property was clean, if a bit too well-used. Views were wonderful and ocean-oriented. Rooms were airy and bright. Geckos, frogs, and birds were an added gift!

Perfect for our family vacation!

This house was such a lovely welcome for us on our first trip to Hawaii! The house was spotless (our most important criteria) and provided everything we needed for a fantastic week, including beach towels and a cooler. Plus, the view from the back deck is breathtaking! I could have stayed out there all week except that there are so many things to do on the big island. Mahalo for an unforgettable vacation!

It's close to Hilo, but still only a short drive to some great snorkeling locations on the Kona side. There are some great hikes just a few minutes away. Great

A few trials with unlocking door and no water 1 morning. Had some trouble finding driveway after dark 1st night. Otherwise very relaxed and enjoyable. Loved the decor.

Fabulous views and very roomy

Lots of space. Well-appointed kitchen. Unbelievable views from deck. Surrounded by fruit ttees, orchids, and exotic plants. Glorious sunrises frim the huge deck. Only a 25-minute drive to downtown Hilo.
