A honey of a beach house, across from the beach

BHive is a honey of a house all to yourself, just across the street from the beach. You can just feel the good memories that have been made in this home and make some of your own. Enjoy the Gulf view from the swing on the front deck. With accommodations for six, a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and Smart TV, you're just one block from public beach access.

The kitchen boasts a standard drip coffee maker as well as a Keurig for those mornings on the front deck swing. It's perfect for meals at home in preparation for the adventures ahead or to close out a fun day at the beach. With sleeping for six, the master has a queen bed, and the two guest bedrooms each have a double bed. Two bathrooms ensure space enough for all.

BHive has two decks, one on the front with the swing and Gulf view, and one off of the back for relaxing coastal evenings with friends and family. Free WiFi and a washer and dryer means you'll have all of the comforts of home.

Everything in the home was just perfect for our family. We brought our small dogs and they were very comfortable too. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of linens and bedding. The beach access is a very short walk from the home. Restauraunts and convenience stores are a short drive and we were able to schedule Walmart delivery for groceries. We always make sure to get our own extra paper products when travelling so I didn't notice any lack of those as mentioned in other reviews. Check was effortless. This was the perfect place for our very low key relaxing week away. I would recommend to anyone.

Long Weekend

We stayed at the B Hive for a long weekend at the beach. The house was just as advertised. It was perfect for the four of us. Plenty of room, very clean, and easy beach access. The porch was a nice place to relax and enjoy a peek-a-boo view of the ocean.

Fall Break Vacation

Me and my Family had such a great trip with our dog Buddy boy. Property was clean and the acess to the beach is right across the street. Definitely a must. We will be here again.

Perfect Space for Us

We had a wonderful visit at The BeeHive. We were able to check in early, which was great after traveling 6 hours with young kids. The house was very comfortable and had plenty of space for the 4 of us. We did make the decision to leave a day early because of the storm moving in but check out was very easy too. Would definitely revisit. Very cozy.

The house was cute, if rather shabby for the price. Also, be prepared to bring your own toilet paper and trash bags if you are staying more than a couple of nights. The toilet paper rolls had less than half the paper on each (single ply of course). There was also only 1 kitchen size trash bag supplied for the whole stay. Trying to talk to Bender Realty about these issues was like pulling teeth. The text messages were rude and unnecessary, especially for how much we paid for this location. FYI, toilet paper at the nearest shop to the house was 14 for 4 rolls.

Great short weekend.

Cottage was perfect for our age group and short stay. Cottage was exceptionally clean and the best stocked kitchen of any property that we’ve stayed in. Cooking spices, olive oil, cooking spray, foil, plastic wrap and a variety of pots and pans were readily available. An abundance of towels, extra pillows and blankets were also available for our use. The B Hive was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in!!! Thank you!!!

Time at the B'Hive

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The ease of this trip started at the very beginning with our initial interaction with Bender. They were easy to communicate with, answer questions and get additional feedback from the owners. As for the rental, while an older unit, the 'Hive has been kept in very good condition and was clean upon our arrival. Everything one would need for a home away from home was provided except for the food. The view of the beach/gulf from the front porch was very relaxing and you are close enough to the water that you could hear the surf every night. While this was during spring break season, the area was not near as rowdy as one would expect and perfect for the family. I can't thank the owners enough to allow our pets to come along, as they enjoyed themselves as well. We will definitely look to Bender for planning our next trip to the beach.

Cute house but definitely some fixable issues

Six family members, ranging in age from 54 to 84 stayed here and overall it is a pleasant house, clean and a decent layout for 3 couples. I struggled with the check-in process and communication with the property management, Bender Realty. They were frustrating and difficult to work with when I requested that my brother and his wife needed to check-in and get the keys instead of me, since I would still be on a plane. They repeatedly asked if we were over 25, even after providing a photo of my driver's license (I am 54). We were not underage frat boys partying on spring break, we are mature adults who were there for a local friend's wedding. Some notes about the house: All 3 mattresses were saggy and uncomfortable. Two small rolls of toilet paper were not enough for 6 adults and 6 days. I did read in the notes after I booked that you need to bring your own toilet paper and soap as only a small amount is supplied, but all 3 hand soap dispensers (2 bathrooms, kitchen) had only 1/2" of soap and the kitchen one was heavily watered down so we got 2 hand washes and were out. There were no beach towels though it was noted they were located in the linen closet (which was locked). The ice maker was broken, the bathroom door lock was broken, and one of the deck chairs had a slat that crumbled when my sister-in-law sat on it. The whole house shakes when anyone walks around, the house is on stilts but for instance the TV and lamps shake if anyone is moving.

Wonderful Pet Friendly Rental

Despite being on the other side of the road we had an unobstructed ocean view and beach access was a very short walk. The home and furnishings are a little dated, but honestly that is part of its charm! The best part is the front porch where we spent a lot of family time in the rocking chairs and the porch swing. Our dogs absolutely loved the porch. Also, there is a very nice trail nearby for walking and running where we walked our dogs each morning and evening. The home was clean and comfy and had plenty of amenities for cooking meals, etc. Would highly recommend this rental for a family vacation or group of friends.
