We did not get the rental that we originally booked. We were downgraded to a dumpy rundown building several blocks from our paid for rental. The new property was only one bedroom but we booked a 2 bedroom. Host was very evasive and not responsive to my questions. I’m extremely disappointed and feel ripped off.

I booked this stay and then at noon on check in day the host canceled claiming a flood in the washroom, which I don't truly believe because the host ignored all of my messaged and questions 2-3 days before check in day. I believe the host didn't realize the booking went through until check in day- would not recommend to anyone!

The owner contacted me the day of check in to say the property was no longer available due to damage but offered another option. I chose the option due to time restraint. The place was smaller and the 2nd bedroom was a closet! I feel this was a bait and switch scam!

Moved us without compensation adjustment

We booked this unit due to its location (being close to others). They had an issue with the unit and moved us several blocks away without any sort of compensation adjustment or real apologies for making things right. It made the trip difficult to be with others in the area of the original booking. The unit was small. We would have been better off with a hotel room.

Disappointed

The appt we were assigned at arrival was not the one I booked online. I was however not surprised as the communication the day before was not proactive, very limited and not as it works with other rentals. So, i kind of expected something. I was in good contact with vrbo, but you can only text with the Landlord. We eventually left the next day following rather unpleasant communication by the landlord. The appt would have been okay if it was according to the ad. Good for 4, we were 5, nice location, comfortable for a short stay.

False advertisement

If you are selecting this place based on the images you will be disappointed. That is NOT the unit they will give you. However the location is great and check in and out process was very easy. Also pet friendly and several places to walk dogs to nearby and on the property. We had no working refrigerator and were not told ahead of time. Instead they put a tiny mini fridge in the already small living room.

Toronto is beautiful.

Location is great BUT

Location is great Property needs more caring, lots of nail holes and marks on the wall. Picture frame is broken. Toilet seat is broken. Facilities are very basic. One of the blinds doesn't work, they just put up a dark paper blind which doesn't roll up. Check in process is a nightmare. I contacted the host two days before the check in date, no response. Then I have to contact the Vrbo, they sent message to the host three times, still no response. Finally the host call me on the check in day after 6PM! And he also tried to delay our check in time to 10:30PM! The nightmare started at check in. There are 3 keys in total, one is for the elevator flooring button to your floor, The host gave me the wrong key! And we were on 42th floor. The host left, sent an Uber to deliver the new key to me 40 min later. Finally we parked our car in the garage, unload our luggages , getting into the elevator, use our new key for the 42th floor. You know what, that NEW KEY DOESN’T WORK! Fortunately some one get off thirty some floor and we all got out with her, and carried our six suitcases and bags up to our 42th FLOOR! The host told me he will deliver the right key next day, told me we can leave the apartment, will meet me somewhere sometime in the city. I insisted I will wait inside the unit till someone give me the right key. The host text me the check out information @9:54am which we already left! We kept the place clean but didn’t know we need to put the garbage to the garbage room.

Great location is only highlight

Needs lot of TLC. Range hood does not work, paper window blinds on 1 of the 5 blinds in the suite. Access fob only works on one of the elevators so accessing the suite takes way too long. The location is perfect and convenient to downtown Toronto.

Great location for quick trip

The property is in a great location downtown. Easy walking to everywhere. Condo is small but was okay with us since we had short trip and were busy out exploring the city. Communication with owner could have been better, but we made it work. Would stay here again.

This condo was in a great location. Easy access to downtown. Issac and Nadine were very accommodating. Condo clean and accommodated four of us easily. Very happy with our choice. Thank you.

Great location and view

The beds were comfortable, the shower was great! One of the three elevators was down but that caused no problems. We were able to walk to our restaurant destinations and were right near the water. The free parking did not have an EV car charger, but the garage right next door did (did have to pay for parking there)

Great location - terrible communication

Location was great and everything we needed but would not stay here again due to the stress of dealing with the property manager. After multiple attempts to get the check-in information, the host would not respond to any messages until late the night before we supposed to arrive. Given the other comments, we started to look for other places at the last minute since we didn't think we would be able to stay here. Once they finally decided to respond to us, the instructions were vague and sketchy. We had to meet "a colleague" on the side of the road and "just wait in the car". We had to wait for this random person (no name ever given) for 45 minutes parked in the middle of the city. Finally this person arrive and had to walk us into the building from the parking garage. After arriving, I texted the host a question - never responded. The day before we left, I texted for any check-out instructions. Never responded. (And there was no information in the unit). After we left, we received a text asking us to give them a 10/10 rating and not leave any negative comments on the site since that would hurt their business. I use reviews when booking places and for some reason, ignored all the red flags previous commenters mentioned. They are not wrong. Granted the location of this unit is great, but for us it was not worth the stress. You can make that decision for yourself but be warned. And for the host, if you want a 10/10 rating, you need to offer 10/10 service.

Comfy Condo with Amazing View!

Three adults shared this modern, clean condo on the 42nd floor. Lots of amenities, comfy beds, and a view of the harbor that can't be beat. Great communication with host from booking to check in to check out. Check in host Nadine was very friendly and helpful guiding us to parking and into the condo. An overall great experience!
