The homeowners were surprised to read your review and would like to clarify the following: - Neither we nor the cleaning team detected unusual odors before or after your stay. There is a plug-in emitting a cinnamon apple scent upon entering. - We use a professional cleaning company that does a thorough job of preparing the home for guests. The cleaners take pride in making sure that the property is cleaned upon your arrival. - Although this is an older home, it has been remodeled with fresh paint, new carpet, new tiles (in the basement), and new furniture. The stove top has experienced typical wear from use but is fully functional. - We are accustomed to providing four/five-star experiences, based on previous, honest reviews. We look forward to this property hosting many more happy travelers in the future. We always work with guests and homeowners when issues arise and do apologize that we were unable to come to the resolution you were hoping for based on the documentation provided.
