This home fit our needs perfectly! Great location, great layout and was equipped with more than what we needed. Point West is THE place on the upper Texas gulf coast.

Away from it all.

Great place to relax with family. It was clean and we had everything we needed. Just one thing… the air filters needed to be changed big time.; otherwise, nice place to stay!

Cozy and Peaceful Galveston Beach House

Love this place! It truly was like a home away from home! SO peaceful and the inside felt so cozy. All the amenities needed in the home. Access to a more private area of Galveston beach. Set away from the busy beach strand but a short drive in to tourist attractions. Perfect layout for a family or larger group. Will definitely be back!

We had a group of 10 and everyone was comfortable. We loved sitting on the balconies in the evenings. The kitchen had all appliances and utensils that we needed. Pointe West Beach club was a perfect place with something for everyone. The owner was great to work with.

The owner was very accommodating. I had a couple of questions and he answered them promptly. Would recommend this house for family. The only thing is make sure to bring gates for the stairs if you have infants.

Everything and more

5 stars and then some. The property was even better in person than what the pictures showed. Mike was a fantastic owner to work with. Answered all our questions and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Beach access was great. Canopies allowed. No issues with overcrowding. The only drawback was a bit too much seaweed (if they ever came by and "dragged" that no-vehicle-access area in front of the beach club for seaweed, that would be a HUGE plus). But, it really had no affect on our stay. We still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lovely property. We will definitely book again.

Family Vacation

We stayed at this property the week after Hurricane Beryl. The west end of the island was hit pretty hard but rhey recovered pretty quickly. We did not have wifi during our stay but it wasn't a major problem. The house was spacious and well equipped with necessities as well as lots of extras. Michael Jones stayed in constant communication with me up until the night before our check-in day and even gave us a chance to cancel with a full refund due to not having wifi and the mosquitoes were so bad due to the Hurricane rhe previous week. I wish the mosquitoes would not have been so bad so we could have enjoyed the Pointe West amenities we paid extra for. I also rented a golf cart which we barely used because we were swarmed by mosquitoes. Overall great experience. I would highly recommend this property. Thank you Mike for your patience and understanding.

Would stay again

It was the perfect house. We had extended family in town from Europe and the house was just what we needed for the 9 of us, 5 adults (40s to late 70s) and 4 kids (9 to 13). The location was great and we rented a golf cart to get around, highly suggest especially with a large party. We took full advantage of the beach club for pools, fitness area, and beach acess. The house was clean, had great space, and all the ameneties we needed. We were impressed with everything that was provided from beach towels to basic toiletries. Michael was great about communicating and answering questions prior to arrival and also setting up getting access to the beach club. The whole process was very easy and I received many compliments from other family members about my choice of house. We had a great time at the beach and pools. We also took a trip to the Strand. Everything is easily accessible and a variety of activities for everyone. My favorite was just watching the sunset on the bay. We will definitely stay here again.

Property

We loved the view and the house was nice. I am only writing this to give the homeowner some advice only. We rated the home with 5 stars and as a business owner I know that reviews are important. The only things that we noticed was that the lighting in the home was a bit dim due to the compact fluorescents used throughout the house and they take a while to get warmed up. I would recommend using some LED lighting, as this would brighten up the house. We also noticed that the lawn needed to be mowed when we arrived and it was eventually mowed later in the week. The grass was tall and full of sand burrs. I know they are hard to get rid of. Our kids could not play in the grass without shoes due to this problem. Also had to make sure they didn’t bring any of them into the house on their shoes. The master bedroom did not have a closet to hang up any clothing, but to the owners defense they did purchase a clothing rack and place it in the room for us. I believe these things are minor and I would want to know which is the only reason I am writing this. Overall we had a great time in Galveston and would love to visit again sometime. The beach club was nice and so was the beach.

Wonderful Getaway

We had a wonderful time on our weekend getaway staying at this lovely house. We enjoyed the quiet of the bay side of point west. The views were beautiful, the house well appointed, and our contact could not have been more helpful. Our whole group loved it!

Very responsive

The owner and property manager were very prompt in responding to any questions or issues (minor issues) I had. There was an abundant amount of necessities even though we brought our own just in case. Overall, we had a pleasant stay!

AWESOME PLACE!

From top to bottom, this place and the communication was outstanding! The only reason why I gave 4 stars on accuracy of online listing is because there are 2 different locations to use the Pointe West Club Access, which we were not aware of....but the good news it one of the pools is walking distance and the other (bigger pool) is less than 1 mile away. Our party consistent of 4 adults and 4 kids (Kids ages are 8 months, 16 months, 4, and 4 .5) There was plenty of space and quiet areas to put the kids down for naps. The house was well stocked with everything a party would need (including first aid kits, which we did not have to use, but great thought on the owners to have in the house) This house/location gave us everything we were looking for- close to a beach, close to a pool, and good AC to cool off when needed! Highly recommend!

Nice house in Pointe West

Very nicely furnished and well equipped house. Large kitchen-living room and fabulous deck with amazing view. Floors could have been a bit cleaner at check in. We rented a golf cart which was helpful getting to beach and pool. Communication with owner pretty good. One message was not answered before we arrived. He did have someone to call during our stay; we needed dishwasher soap. She was responsive. We also didn’t have extra paper towels but otherwise house was well stocked with towels and toilet tissue. They said a pack n play was available but since we didn't hear back from owner, we brought one. They said roll aways are available but limited floor space for them. Only master bedroom would have room for one. Overall very nice and I would recommend it.

Beautiful View

We had a lovely time. The house was just as listed. We had a few little questions, Mike was super fast to answer and solve any questions we had. Left a lovely welcome package that was enjoyed by all. Beach club was nice. Access was easy. Nice bonus to have. Make sure you do your shopping as the west side of the island has very few stores. One note we didn’t see before which some might be interested in, they aske for no seafood in the fridge or freezer upstairs in kitchen. Makes sense and we didn’t have any but some folks almost brought some and we’re glad they didn’t. Overall, we would definitely consider coming back!

Welcome to the Jorshack with a virtual 360' water view. With 2 Balconies facing the Bay for beautiful sunsets and and the ability to see the Gulf of Mexico from our breakfast nook. The views invite relaxation on their own. If you like to fish, wade fishing in the West Bay is some of the best on the island. San Luis pass allows for movement into and out of the bay.
