River House - idyllic riverside and beach location

River House is a large multilevel family home in an idyllic riverside setting and beside the beach. The large block adjoins the Kennett River reserve and nature walking track - with a path leading directly along the river to the beach in 3 minutes (250m), and in the other direction into the Great Otway National Park. Abundant birdlife and wildlife surround the property, including kangaroos and koalas.

Enter into the open plan kitchen and dining area, featuring an abundance of natural light streaming in through the floor to ceiling windows with a view to the river and bushland. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, induction cooktop, fridge with water dispenser, Nespresso coffee machine, soda stream and walk in pantry. Gather for a family meal all together around the 10 seater timber table, or out on the deck dining setting. This living area has comfy couches, wall mounted Smart TV, Sonos sound system, Foxtel, along with a wood fire for added warmth and ambiance. Sliding doors lead onto the wrap around deck area featuring an 8 person hot tub overlooking the river and bushland. There is also a large Beefeater BBQ, outdoor couches and shade.

The house is over 3 levels in total. The lower 3rd level is locked unless booked for.
To have access to the downstairs area, which contains two bedrooms, the second living area and a third bathroom, a minimum rate of the 5 person rate applies.

The main level houses a king bedroom with dual access ensuite bathroom, and full laundry with washing machine and dryer.

Upstairs is a parents retreat top floor, with beautiful views of the ocean, river and bushland. Featuring a king sized bed, ensuite bathroom with shower, and walk in wardrobe.

Downstairs from the main level is a great family space for kids, with a second living area with comfy couches and TV, 2 bedrooms each with excellent quality tri-bunk beds in queen size on the bottom and a king single size on the top and all with high quality mattresses. This level is serviced with a large bathroom with a bath, shower and separate toilet.

Also on the property is a games shed with table tennis table, and adjoining lawn area suitable for ball games.

Contemporary styling, furnishings and artwork gives a warm homely feel throughout. All beds have high quality mattresses, including the bunk beds. Unlimited WiFi is available throughout the house, with extended boxes on the various levels to boost the signal and provide high speed. All linen and towels are provided - you just need to bring beach towels for use at the beach or spa. There is an outdoor hot & cold shower for use coming back from the beach to wash the sand and salt off. Due to the location and surrounding wildlife (kangaroos & koalas), the property is not pet friendly.

River House is a perfect mix of beach and bush - with the river on one side and the sea on the other - it makes a great base and location for a range of outdoor activities. It is also an excellent base for relaxing in the various living areas at the house and enjoying the views and serenity. Kennett River has a small takeaway cafe, or it's a 5 minute drive (or 5km walk) to Wye River which has the Wye General Cafe and convenience store, along with the Wye Beach Hotel. From Kennett River, is is a 25 minute drive to the large town of Apollo Bay for Supermarkets, fuel station, restaurants, cafes, fresh fish sales, shopping.

Pricing & Bedrooms
The initial rate is for up to 4 people, using the 2 bedrooms (2 x king beds) on the main and upper levels.
If you are 4 people needing more than two beds or bedrooms, you will need to select the amount of guests based on beds/bedrooms required.
Due to the house size and layout, it can be booked for up to 4 people (2 couples) as just the main level with king bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living, dining, hot tub and deck, laundry, and upstairs king bedroom with ensuite.
To have access to the downstairs area, which contains two further bedrooms, a second living area and a third bathroom, a minimum rate of 5 people applies.
All pricing is based on the amount of guests staying, and beds/bedrooms used. Please ensure you book for the correct amount of guests, and confirm how many beds/bedrooms you will be requiring during your stay, so that we have accurate booking information prior to your arrival.

No loud music or loud activities that could disturb neighbours at any time.
No smoking, vaping or illegal activity
Quiet hours between 10pm - 8am

Additional accommodation is not allowed on site by way of tents, caravans, campervans or similar.
