Spring/Summer:
Stoney Lake is known for its clam, clear lake, its warm water, and access to fishing. The lake is great for all water activities such as boating, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and more. There is loads of space to store your equipment, and boat launches are nearby.
If you are bringing water toys, the marina is 5 mins away to launch. Water toys such as tubes, slides, sea-doo's, kayaks, boats, and canoes can be rented in the area and delivered to the cottage. (Message the host or see the host's Guidebook).
Golf courses & hiking trails nearby. Many different species of birds and wild animals can be enjoyed while hiking or mountain biking the area trails.
Public beach in the area.
Fall/Winter:
Fall drives to the cottage are the most beautiful with changing leaves, calm water, and deer spotting along the way.
As the lake freezes, you can enjoy a crisp clear winter day by going for a walk, ice-fishing or skating on the frozen lake. There are many ungroomed trails for snowshoeing and cross country skiing nearby.

Separate tap for drinking water at the kitchen sink that is triple filtered + reverse osmosis. The rest of the taps have triple-filtered water from the lake. While the water is purified lake water with reverse osmosis for drinking, I ask guests to bring in drinking water since there’s a rare possibility of water contamination.
Even though there are few adult and children’s life jackets on the property it’s the sole responsibility of the guests to use right fitting water safety gear.
Guests are asked to bring their own beach/lake towels, toiletries, food, water and safety gear. You can also bring your own Keurig pods and ground coffee.
