Perfect location - we love the Boulder Bay area in Big Bear - just a short drive to the "happening" spots, and we like having a bit of distance from those touristy areas. This was a spacious 2bd/2ba home. The kitchen was very well equipped with impressive appliances. Very comfortable bed. The hot tub in the back yard was great - right near a generously large table with chairs on a deck. There's also a deck with seating in the front yard. Both are pleasant. We didn't use the bbq, but will next time. We would definitely stay here again. We're not into typical Big Bear decor (cabins w/ bear sculptures everywhere) -- there was a big fake furry moose head over the fireplace and raccoon sculptures wrapping around the bed frame -- some folks like that kind of thing. We don't, but not a deal breaker. We were there during the summer and it was unseasonably HOT (there's no A/C in the house) so we had to count on overnight open-the-windows cooling. Not ideal. During the winter I'm sure it'd be cozy and warm - there was a fireplace and central heating. Great to have a washer/dryer available (although we didn't use them). This place would work very well for an extended stay. Bianca was very helpful (remote 'front office'). My husband and I will return!
