About the home
“Oceanview Family Retreat” is a delightful double-storey family home in San Remo just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of San Remo. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is a central hallway providing access to a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), Bedroom 4 (with BIR), a dual-access ensuite/Bathroom (with shower & toilet) and Bedroom 5 which has an adjoining Lounge/Kitchenette (with a stove, oven, bar fridge, sink, kettle & water filter).
Upstairs is the huge open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with smart TV & PS4 with some games) with stunning water views, that provides access out to one of the front Balconies, and Bedroom 3 which doubles as a TV Games Lounge (with smart TV, DVD player & Wii Games console). Bedroom 1 can be accessed through Bedroom 3, and has a WIR, TV and dual-entry ensuite (with bath & shower). A hallway provides access from the Living Room to Bedroom 2 (with BIR & workspace/study desk), a separate Toilet, the dual-access ensuite and the Stairs.
Outdoor Areas
The fully enclosed rear yard is perfect for children. There is space for 2 cars in the carport in front of the Garage, and space for another 2 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the driveway. The main first floor Balcony is accessed via the upstairs Living Room (with 8-seater dining table) and provides a lovely additional space to spread out and incredible water views. The Double Garage has been converted into an Alfresco Games Room (with couch, table tennis table, fusbol table & some foldup lounge chairs).
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top. There are also an electrical portable BBQ grill and electrical portable cooker for outdoor cooking. The downstairs Kitchette in Bedroom 5/Lounge has a stove, oven, bar fridge, sink, kettle & water filter.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the upstairs Living/Kitchen/Dining room, plus five additional stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds, and 3 sofa beds, accommodating up to 14 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): Two Double sofa beds [doubles as a TV/Games Room]
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 5 (Downstairs): One Double bed
The Lounge (with Kitchenette) adjacent to Bedroom 5, also features One Double sofa bed, suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
