Port Carling is great!

This is a challenging review to write. The house is perfect. New, lots of space and very comfortable. The host was very communicative and helpful. The issue was that it is located on the main highway coming into Port Carling. With the highway noise there is no way we could enjoy the beautiful front porch or backyard. Also the next door property is not all that pleasant to look at. But on the flip side the location to the village centre is a 15-minute walk and 10-minutes to the closest beach. If you are looking for a place for a few days and being outside isn't important to you, then this is a perfect property.

Enjoyed the area

This house is beautifully done and decorated lovely. The kitchen is incredible I loved it. My husband and myself stayed in upstairs bedroom facing street. It has balcony but no outside furniture on it to sit and enjoy. The bed was very hard so if u like extremely firm mattress you’re in luck. Bathrooms beautiful, living areas beautiful. We didn’t like how busy the street was very loud. The other problem is with Mady the host. I received a list of eight housekeeping duties to do before we left. Didn’t appreciate the list and was upset the way it was not communicated to me before I choose to stay here.

Beautiful, modern and wonderfully decorated cottage

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at Mady's cottage. Extremely comfortable and well-appointed, like staying in a top-flight hotel. There is a sandy, public beach nearby, however it is very small and seems fit only for small children. We discovered Hardy's Provincial Park nearby, and after hiking a kilometer into the park, we were able to swim off the rocks in a pristine, motorboat-free lake.

Perfect Stay

The property felt brand new! All the fine details made our stay absolutely perfect. Adult and toddler friendly! Great host with clear communication, designer place and wonderful hospitality. The kitchen and all bedrooms had everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible! Location was close to so many nice lake spots and the town for a nice walk! Highly recommend.

Family getaway

The property is great - very clean, and new! The owner left us some welcome snacks and soda which was a really nice touch. They also checked in on us during our stay to see if we needed anything. It was a seamless, easy process from beginning to end.
